Chapter 12 - ANYONE COULD BE a GOOD FRIEND (8)

It's another day! People have been on the street going to work. Juliet was up too. She had finished tidying the house and was about to leave for work when Zoe called in. She called to know if Juliet has ordered a taxi to join her.

Juliet: "Zoe, meet me where we normally meet"

Zoe: "Yes boss!"

(Zoe gets there after a few seconds)

Zoe: "The taxi driver hasn't arrived yet?"

Juliet: "If he did, will you have met me here?"

Zoe: (smiled), "you're a crazy girl." (They both laughed)

As they were standing, Robinson came through.

Robinson: "Shall we?"

Zoe and Juliet: "We shall!" (They all laughed)

Juliet and Zoe entered the vehicle and Robinson zoomed off.

Robinson: "How are you guys doing?"

Zoe and Juliet: "We're fine, and you?"

Robinson: "Same here."

Zoe: "You haven't told us the reason why you eventually chose your profession."

Juliet: "We want to know."

Robinson: "Alright. I chose the profession because of my late sister."

Juliet and Zoe: "What happened to her?"

Robinson: "She died because of dereliction of the hospital. She had an attack and was rushed to the hospital; we're told that there is no room to put her as there are a lot of accident victims at the hospital. We pleaded that she should be attended to and that we will take her home and be bringing her until she recovers. Nobody listens." (He was sad)

Juliet: "Sorry for the loss."

Zoe: "May she keep resting."

Robinson: "Amen. That was the reason why I choose the profession."

Zoe and Juliet: " She must be proud of you by now."

Robinson: "I believe so."

Juliet: "Health workers need serious evaluation. Imagine risking one's life just because they couldn't reason the consequences at that moment."

Zoe: "It's so sad that they seem not to value life more than their pockets. Do you know that some collect bribes to provide a bed at the hospital?"

Juliet: "Reason why I don't want to have anything to do with them."

Robinson: "Seriously, many of them need to be examined. If they had listened that day, my sister would have survived it."

Juliet: "It's all good now as we have an experienced doctor." (They all smiled)

Zoe: "Now, Juliet can be injected by Mr. Robinson when she is down." (She giggled)

Juliet: "You're thinking outside the box crazy girl."

Robinson: "It's just a phobia and she will overcome it in due time."

Zoe: (Blushing)... "She has to when she had a doctor as a friend now."

Juliet: "Robinson, don't take her words to mind; she's a naughty being."

Zoe: "I agree with you. It's only a naughty person that relates too well with you. Thank your star that you met me."

Robinson, Juliet, and Zoe laughed.

Juliet: "I should thank my star for meeting a troublesome, naughty, and talkative human being like you? I thank my star for meeting you, Zoe!"

Zoe: "Now, my head is swollen!"

Juliet: "Don't let your head burst friend."

Robinson: "Zoe and Juliet, you are both good for each other. Good friends share good memories like you're doing now."

Zoe: "Did you have a friend or friends?

Robinson: " I don't have."

Juliet: "Why?"

Robinson: "I'm a private person and keeping friends has never been my thought."

Zoe: "And now?"

Robinson: "I'm ready to keep a friend now."

Zoe: "Hmmm."

Juliet: "Good of you. We've arrived."

They alighted and waved Robinson goodbye.
