Starting Afresh

After that night, Betty decided to forget what happened and move on. Maybe this happened for a reason, but she really don't know why it had to hurt her this much. She slept with a peacful heart with no care in the world.

This Morning

A beautiful girl was seen descending down the stairs with a ponytail wearing a pink T-Shirt with a beautiful rose imprinted on it, with a bumshort. She rushed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. She turned on the radio to listen to music while she cooks...

"Someone looks happy, good morning angel" grace said from behind. How was your rest? She asked, "very peaceful Gracie, I feel light as a feather am ready to start afresh" Betty replied with a cute smile.

"Thank goodness then, I'm happy you feel better Betty" grace went and give Betty a hug. "Okay, go take a shower I'll prepare breakfast for us" Betty said as she was lightly pushing grace out of the kitchen. "Really?, Betty you don't need help? Grace asked. "Come on grace, this is the least I can do for you". Betty said pleading "okay chef Betty, I miss your cooking anyways" grace said as she went back upstairs.

Few minutes later, grace joined Betty I the dinning. "Gosh Gracie, you look beautiful this morning" Betty gushed over her beauty, "oh Betty please don't flatter me, I dress to work like this and anyways I have a date later tonight" grace said as she blushed.

"That's why you're glowing this morning". It suits you Gracie, Betty said to her sincerely, "really? Thanks bestie so what are your plans for today"? Grace asked as she took the plate of chicken soup. Actually I have an interview at Victoria Empire by twelve O'clock. "Really? The famous Victoria Empire in our country? Or is there any other one asides it? Grace asked with a suprised look. " Grace you're funny, which other victoria Empire do you know about? Betty asked sipping the soup.

"How did you manage to apply for a job there? I heard the CEO he's a devil and he never smiles very grumpy" grace blurted out these words.

"Please grace don't say that about him, do you have to believe everything the media says about someone? Betty asked her with a serious tone. "And now she's defending him, he's not your boss yet okay?.... "Whatever Gracie, and please can I ask a favour? Betty said "yea, go ahead" grace replied nonchalantly. "Can I live with you for a short time? I will move out once I secure a job, I promise I.... Grace cut her short before she could say anymore words..

"Betty, you don't have to ask me things like this anymore, you're the only friend I have, we've been friends and you turned my sister as well. You can live with me for as long as you want. I will never get tired of helping you in any way okay. You deserve the best treatment, you've gone through alot already".

Betty was moved to tears by her words, she stood up and gave grace a warm hug, "I don't know what I could have done without you in my life. Grace ever since I lost my parents, you've been both a mom, a sister and my best friend. You've been with me throughout my hard times, I bless the day I met you my bestie and loving sister". She could not help the tears rolling down her eyes.

"Awwwwww, please don't make me tear up young lady, I don't want to ruin my makeup" grace said pulling Betty away, " come on grace, you always have to ruin the moment with your silly excuses" they both laughed and enjoyed Thier breakfast.

After the breakfast, grace thanked betty for the meal. "Bye Betty, call me whenever anything comes up and Goodluck on your interview" they hugged and grace left for work.

Betty stood there looking at Grace until the figure disappeared and said to herself "Grace I will never forget your kindness EVER", saying that, she walked into the house. She failed to notice the person staring her from a distance. He put on his dark shade and left the area "I will make your life hell" he murmured to himself as he left.

It was eleven Thirty. Omg what do I wear, she quickly took her phone and place a call to Grace. After a few rings "hello Grace there's an emergency" betty sounded terrified. "Oh my god what happened? Grace shouted from the other end of the phone "hold your horses lady nothing serious I just don't have anything good to wear for the interview" Betty said biting her lip. "Betty Cruz' once I get home I'll get you for this you made me scared for no reason at all".

"I'm sorry Gracie but I will miss my interview if I don't have anything to wear right now" Betty almost wanted to cry. "Ok please don't cry On me, there is a Paragon shopping bag in My closet there's a dress in it, actually it is a dress for you I got it to celebrate our friendaversary you were not suppose to get it until later, looks like you will need it now and please don't you dare cry. no time for emotions now hurry or doll yourself up and kick butt at the interview okay, I'm hoping to hear goodnews" grace ended the call without giving Betty a chance to reply.

Soon a message beeped on Betty's phone.

[ Don't you dare waste time crying my drama queen, don't ruin your face and make your eyes swollen prepare and get to the interview now]

Grace really knows me, such a friend I would love to be your friend again in my next life, Betty said to herself.

He hurriedly went to Grace's closet in her room when she opened the package "oh my goodness grace this dress is beautiful" she kept looking at the dress.
