Chapter 2 - Familiar Scent

After a few days Sung Hoon was discharged from the hospital. It was a long three days for Woo Jin, as he was more of a piece of work when he was awake. However a bored Choi Sung Hoon is worst than a jeering Choi Sung Hoon.

He had many questions and that he can't leave them unanswered. He hasn't asked why they're divorcing, maybe he's saving it for the last? Or he's just being considerate but one of his obnoxious question was:

"Why do you work? Can't I provide for you?"

"You can provide and much more of that. You agreed to let me work because you know how much my career means to me." Woo Jin explained.

"Damn, maybe I like you more than you like me for me to give in to you." He chuckles, this time his remark doesn't sound like he's berating his love for him.

Before getting married he asked Woo Jin if he could quit his job to spend more time with him as he often travels for trainings and competition. They got into an argument which resulted to Woo Jin calling of the engagement. Ever since that day Choi Sung Hoon never brought the subject again.

His hospital days were fine but Woo Jin is unaware that Sung Hoon was bored beyond words without him. There's something about Woo Jin that made him trust him a lot. He was also very attentive to the point that he knows him more than he knows himself.

He learns few information about him through news articles on the internet. He knows that he retired early and is currently working for CQ's sustainable brand. He wonders why he needs to work when according to his bank account, he can live comfortably to five generations without working. He also read some articles of his secret marriage to a renowned pâtissier, but his face was all blurred in the pictures although judging by the body type it was clearly Woo Jin.

He also read some loathing comments about Kang Woo Jin, specially on how someone like him could end up with Sung Hoon. There's also infuriating comments on his early retirement blaming everything to Kang Woo Jin. He felt dejected when he saw the hateful comments about his supposed to be husband. The search engines were full of fallacious theories about Kang Woo Jin. There were also stolen pictures of him on their private family gatherings that were badly edited to humiliate him. Even though he just knew him days ago he felt that the comments were baseless and uncalled for.

His siblings were no use on helping him remember. Except for his older brother Won Hoo who genuinely tried to help him. According to an article, he retired early to "focus on his personal life" to which Chowon his younger sister said that he was busy chasing Woo Jin's ass and that he was too possessive of him that he can't stand being away from him. He can't imagine himself being so shamelessly enamored with anyone.

Sung Hoon underwent many tests before he was allowed to step foot of the hospital, these was due to the request of his own mother and Woo Jin. Fortunately all his broken bones healed perfectly like nothing happened. Thank God good genes he thought. However he was very concerned about his muscle mass, his doctor's allowed him to go to the gym but no extreme exercises.

On their ride home, Woo Jin realized that Sung Hoon's new habit is staring at him. This doesn't help his growing insecurity, he thought that the longer he looks at him. The more reasons he'll have not wanting him.

"Please stop staring at me. It's making me uncomfortable." He said while looking straight at the road.

"I don't feel safe riding this car." He said softly trying to change the topic. Woo Jin wanted be sarcastic and ask him if he wants to walk instead but his heart melted on the thought of Sung Hoon showing him his vulnerability because as soon as this man opened his mouth he was condescending and arrogant towards him. Although the more time he spend with him made Sung Hoon opened up a little, like a child. Whenever he comes back late from the hotel he gets sullen and suddenly had the urge to be babied. An old trait that he missed. Thinking of it, since when did he started not caring whenever he comes home late?

"How can I make you feel better? This is a freeway and we can't stop." He replied.

"Please sit on my lap and let me embrace you." His tone was soft and although he was pleading the statement felt more like a command than a favor.

Woo Jin blushed and looked down. "I'm not even joking. Feel my hands, they're cold." Sung Hoon added and held on Woo Jin with his cold hand. Without words Woo Jin stood up and sat on his lap. His big and powerful arms wrapped around him. Woo Jin held on to his shoulders, his arms around his neck. Sung Hoon's face rested on his chest inhaling his familiar scent.

His eyes were shut and frowning but he began to relax shortly. Woo Jin studies his face, he looks rough but ethereal. Although he looks better awake, he thought. For the past 2 months he stares at Sung Hoon's sleeping face. He tries to memorize everything on him so that when he's at work he won't be missing him a lot. He misses the way his beautiful light brown eyes were looking at him and how his thick brows collide when he tries to understand him. His nose were high and pointy, his lips were thin and long. He looks like those breathtaking roman statues.

During his stay in the hospital, Sung Hoon said that he must have love him more than he loves him but Woo Jin thought that it's the other way around because he can't seem to stay mad at him. One look at him and he forgets that he's mad. With just him holding him it felt like all the bad things he did just evaporates.

Choi Sung Hoon felt comfortable with Woo Jin's familiar scent. His whole body is soft specially his chest, it felt like his face belonged where it was resting. When the car parked at home. Woo Jin waited for a bit till he wakes him up. He wanted to savor the moment. There's a high change that when he wakes up, an argument will follow.

He wakes up soon after and they walked inside the residence. It was what Woo Jin remember it to be. For the past two months he just briefly visits their house when he's got something to retrieve as he's been staying with Sung Hoon at the hospital. The house also felt familiar to Sung Hoon, the house was what he wanted he thought.

It was spacious and adorned with modern and minimalist design. The house has lighter tones, it is also well lit by the sun. The house was a proof of their marriage, it has traces of them wherever he looks. From the portraits to the matching furniture, this was for sure his home. Sung Hoon thought.

What he likes about it the most is the feeling of the house. It felt warm and and cozy. Woo Jin took him to a little tour. The room has three bedrooms and the master bedroom. He asked why there were so many room and he explained that after his retirement, his siblings loved staying at his house so he built a house where he can host everyone.

Maybe his retirement brought the five of them closer so it's not bad at all. He thought. Sung Hoon has a big family, he has two older brothers, a twin brother and one younger sister. They may not say it but all of them are close with each other. Well except his twin brother Ji Hoo whom he fondly annoys. He wonders what they're relationship is like now that he's married. Does he still pretend to like whatever Ji Hoo likes?

Finally, they stepped in to the last room of the house. It was spacious, this room was different. Compared to the rest of the house that's warm. This room feels a bit more sensual. The bed was near the balcony and on the opposite wall of the balcony is a sultry portrait of Woo Jin. Now Sung Hoon know why he was attracted to him.

The picture made him feel hot inside, specially on the lower region. Bless the heart of the person who took it but he felt like that view was for only intended for him. He walks inside the room to familiarize, he assumed that it was their room.

"This is the master bedroom. I'll be staying at the room beside this so that you can call me when you need anything." Woo Jin informed him.

"Why? Are you a fucking guest or a house maid?" He fumed.

"No, you may not remember what it's like before the accident but I do. And I'm not ready to lie next to you again." His tone was tired, he was trying to hold back his tears.

As expected when he was settled in the room, Woo Jin left. What vile thing could he possibly did? He thought. Sung Hoon is not used to the thought of him being unloved.

Deep in the nigh Sung Hoon couldn't find himself to sleep, he's the type of person to not sleep when he's mad. He also couldn't take the loneliness in "their" room.

The next morning, Woo Jin woke up feeling a warm body next to him and before he can even react the warm body chuckled and said "You have an interesting habit, yet I'm fine with it." He then realized the hot mess that he's in.

Woo Jin is lying inside Sung Hoon's embrace with his head resting on his shoulders and his hand wandering. His hand was inside Sung Hoon's pants cupping a pair of balls that are not his. He must have done that out of habit.

"Although I'm thankful that you're guarding the goods. The next time you touch them, I hope that it's not out of habit but out of desire." He sneered.
