Chapter one: How is this even possible?

" For your final year project, please select a topic from this board and start diggin' the past, the mystery amd the myths. Your final year project due on September 20 at 7pm. That is 6 month from now. I wish you all well, that is all for today. You all dismiss from this class.." a short announcement from our lecturer.

"Rosieee..!" shout Anna from the hallway, running toward me with her big smile.

"Hi, Anna. What's with the fuss? Mann, you always hugging me infront of everyone. Stop it.."

"Oh no, are you being embarrassed? hmph!"

"I'm kidding.. come here!"

"Heee.. Rose, which topic will you choose from the broad? I heard that Miss Brenda give you guys a damn hard topic!"

"Hard topic? I think I might choose the werewolves thing.."

"Werewolves?! aren't they just made-up stories that our parents used to do just to scared us and made us obey their rule?"

"Haha.. yea it's true but it has to be a reason why this kind of stories started. Maybe there is something else about it? That's what made me choose this topic. Plus uncle taylor has a lot of collections of werewolves. Maybe I can find something from his house."

"Hm fair enough! so what are we eating for lunch?"

"I been craving for some sushi right now.. Drive us to our signature place!"

"Okay dokie.."

We went to this amazing Japanese store and take satisfaction in our lunch. Then after lunch, we went straight to the local library and borrow some books for my project. Anna drop me back home later that night.

"Thanks anna! See you tomorrow!"

"No problem babe. Hey rose! I forget to tell you something."

"Yea what's up?"

"Do you remember Travis? The guy from the athletes team?"

"The tall blondie guy? yea why?"

"I know you're not looking for a man right now and you so busy with your perfect lonely life, which you can add some fun in it.."

"My god anna.. Don't tell me.."

"Yes! I did it and maybe later his gonna call you and who knows you MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET A LIFE AND OF COURSE A BOYFRIEND!"

"Why did you do that? argh! nevermind I can just simply abandon him."

"Rosie please.. His a great guy and he love history.. Just promise me you will try? pleaseeee...."

"Alright fine! If I don't find him beneficial, I will straightforwardly 100% ditch him okay?"

"Its Attractive! The word is ATTRACTIVE! Not beneficial.. I better get going now to see my sweetheart which you don't have.. Bye rosie!"

"Bye anna! be careful..geez.. that girl making me a headache." I watch Anna drive away and just smile thinking about her effort to match me up with someone I don't know.

I walk toward the stairs and open the front door. Mom and Dad are just finish eating their dinner. I walk into the kitchen and just grab a glass of water.

"Hey sweetie.. you're back earlier than normal. want some dinner?" ask mom as she cleaning the table.

"Hi mom. Hi dad.. yea i finish my classes today a bit early. Then i just hang out with anna."

"Well that's great.. anyway we have something to tell you." say mom while looking at dad. They both smiling.

"What's going on?"

"You gonna be a big sister!" say dad in excitement, he smiles and holds mom's hand.

"Oh my god!! Mom!!! You're pregnant!! Goshhhh!! I will have a little sister?! Congratulations Mom! Congratulations Dad!" I run to their embrace and hug them tightly, I touch my mother's belly.

"Are you really okay with this news?" ask mom, she's a bit concern about my feelings since i'm the only child for 20 years.

"Mom! I really really really happy for you. I am so glad you giving me a sister or a brother whichever come! I'm so happy to be a sister and i know you both has try all this years to have another baby." tears start coming out from my eyes, i knew the struggle for my parents to have another child since mom last operation. My mother had medical issues which made her unable to carry a child in her own body. I been asking for another sibling since i'm young and finally i have one!

"Oh sweetie.. thank you for being the best daughter ever! i know you will be a great sister." Mom hug me and she cry with me as well. Dad just hug us in his big arms.

"So that's mean we're all pregnant!" say Dad in excitement and satisfaction.

"Hah! I guess we all are.." say mom.

"Im so happy right now! i gotta tell anna about this!"

"sweetie.. don't tell anna yet cause we planning to make a small bbq party and announce to all. Let's keep her in the dark right now.." suggest Dad..

"Alright dad! i won't tell a soul! Anyway i head up first and take a shower, i'm sweating with all this news! Again my beloved mama and papa, congratulations and congratulations to me!!" I kiss them both a good night kiss and head straight to my bedroom. I took a long bath and just relaxing in the tub while watching some movie. Suddenly mom knock the door and ask if she can enter. Pf course I say yes.

"What are you watching?" ask mom while opening the mirror drawer.

"Some documentary about wolf.."

"Wolf? why suddenly?"

"It's for my final year project, The topic is about werewolves. Hey mom.. I was thinking next week i want to go to Uncle taylor's place and stay there for a while."

"Uncle taylor? But sweetheart it's too far away and it's in the middle ofwoodland. Can't you change it into another topic for your project?"

"I mean i could but i'm so curious with all the stories that you and dad used to tell me when i was young. So please mom.. Can i go there? Pleaseee.."

"Let me and dad talk about this first. Plus it's all a made up stories my baby." Mom look at me and just pat my heads then left.

"Okayy.." After mom left, i quickly grab a towel and get out from the shower. On my way back to my room, i try to listen to their conversation. I lean againts the wall outside from their bedroom. I only able to hear a few words from Dad.

"It's dangerous.." say Dad softly. His voice tone change and i can feel the heavyweight feelings in the air.

"But dear, isn't it the right time to tell her the truth?" say mom.

"But we can't just let her go, we haven't hear any news from taylor about the situation." say Dad again.

"But babe, its been 20 years. We been out here for 20 years raising her in this environment. It is time to bring her home."

"Let me talk to Taylor about this and see how it goes. I want you to tell Rosie, we will come along with her."

"Okay babe.. I know its hard. But it's time.." I was stun by their conversation. What is going on? Dangerous? The truth? what truth? what are they camouflaging from me?

After listening to their conversation, i quickly ran back into my room and close the door. After get dress, i open up my laptop and search about Uncle Taylor's town. The town where mom and dad met.

"Rainvalley.. what are you hiding?" i whisper softly and i found a lot of myths about the origins of werewolves. There's a lot of people coming in and out, but one tourist catch my attention. Albert thompson..

"This guy is brilliant!" I watch a few videos of him discovering the truth about werewolves origin and places that is strictly forbidden for tourist. But this guy enter and sneak in, a lot of things happing then suddenly an advertisement pop out at my laptop screen. It's tempting to register but i do it anyway. After signing up my account in this weird website, I come a cross a few picture of this big werewolves and a legend about it.

"Fuxkkk.. This is so confusing.." my mind are so damn confuse with the legend. And the most part which confuses me is the myths about a man that kill all young women in that town and wanting to have immortality which is doesn't make any sense. I saw a painting for that man and save it for my research purpose. I save the website link and sync it into my iphone.

"I guess i called it a night for today. Damn this is intense and interesting.." I close up my window and in a second moment, i thought i saw a man. Standing across the street watching me. This man has this light brown eyes, he watch me intensely as i closing up my window.

Then suddenly Mom knock on the door, asking if im asleep. The second i lose my eye contact with that man, he disappear into the thin air.

"I'm getting ready to sleep. come in.."

Mom open my door and smile.

"Your dad agrees but with one condition, we all going to visit Uncle taylor."

"Really?! Thanks mom! You're the best!" I hug mom tightly and she hug me in silence for a few second.

"Did you spray anything in your room?" ask mom, then I let her go and look at her.

"Spray? I don't smell anything why?"

"Maybe its from the outside air. Did you close your window and lock it?" Mom walk toward my window and check then she froze up for a moment.

"Mom? You okay?"

"a-ah yes i'm okay. Just make sure to lock it properly, lately there's a stalker in our area." Mom close the window curtain and turn back looking at me.

"A stalker? why didn't i know about this?"

"Yes, a stalker. I heard from the neighbours, recently a man steal woman's clothes. It's crazy."

"Maybe its just some kind of pervert stalker. I better not be alone."

"Good, if anything happen just scream and ran okay? Call us if anything happens."

"Alright mom, don't worry so much. I'm not an active teenager that going out at night. You know me, every 7pm i will be home."

"I know, but still it's worrying me. Just promise me okay? I will come find you if anything happen." Mom kiss me on ku forehead and leave me to get some rest.

"Its a crazy day.. Time to sleep beauty.." I reach out to my lamp and switch it off.
