Wolves of men

The journey was close to its end, and the fate that an unknown god set was coming true. The sun was setting, and Mr. Carlton was in a hurry to get me to my mysterious buyer. He said we had less than a mile.

From the looks of it, we were heading to a small clearing.

We reached; the edge of it. There was nobody there, or at least I thought so. When Carlton tied the horses to a tree, he helped me off; with my hands tied in front of me, I followed him to the middle of the clearing.

When we stopped, he put a hand on my shoulder, forcing me to get on my knees.

It felt like an eternity before I heard a howl off in the distance; when I looked up at Mr. Carlton, he was smiling and staring into the trees ahead.

They're off on the other side, was a wolf.

The more I studied it, the more I realized it was the one that attacked me.

The wolf studied us for a bit before doing the last thing I thought it would do. It took a running start towards us and leaped when it, or should I say he landed, was a human man.

I couldn't comprehend what I had just seen but what stood before me was the gorgeous man I had ever seen.

His hair was a shade of black ink; his skin was sun-kissed.

My heart started to race when he began approaching us. That's when I realized he wore not a thread of clothing.

I looked towards the ground as he approached. When he was a few yards away, that's when a sweet smell struck. I started to calm down, but the fear was still there.

He started to talk to Carlton

" Was anybody following you guys?." The mystery man said in a deep husky voice.

"Not to my knowledge, alpha,"

said Carlton

" Good, you can keep the black mare as a bonus for the quick service, you can rest in the pack house tonight, but I never want to see you again after tonight. Nobody knows what you did and where she is. I will know if you start talking to the law."

The man referred to as alpha turned his attention to me. He kneeled in front of me, placing a finger under my chin, forcing me to look up while causing a weird sensation from his touch.

When I locked eyes with him, I was shocked at how beautiful his eyes were. They were an unusual shade of purple, almost blue. I was all but lost in the beauty of his eyes.

" What's your name?" he whispered.

I didn't think I heard him right, but he asked again.

"What is your name?." He asked again

L-Lilith? I said, stuttering

he cracked a smile before replying, "A beautiful name for a beautiful lady."

Thanks. I said I was not sure what to think.

He helped untie the knot that bound my wrist. My wrist was sore; he took notice and gingerly touched the red marks left by the ropes.

I'm sorry for that, Lilith; I'll have it looked at once we're back home.

Home? home is back with my family! I yelled

Tears threatened to spill as the sorrow felt heavy on my chest.

His tender expression faded and replaced with one of fury. He yelled, "You are mine, you hear! You should forget your family because you'll never see them again!"

His harsh words were all I needed to hear before I unleashed tears, I started to get up to try and run, but before I could, he picked me up like I was nothing and slung me over his shoulder. I screamed and began to struggle, but nothing I did, worked.

I knew I would lose this battle, but the war wasn't over yet!
