Tia and Maeve

The woman had been a human that had long black hair and blue eyes while she had wore a thin and slightly revealing black dress that seemed to be made from low quality materials.

The top of the dress barely covered her upper body as the straps had come up from the front to cross over from right to left and left to right before wrapping around the back of her neck to be toed into a bow.

There was a pair of elbow and knee length black gloves and tights that matched with her black dress, the dress had been cut on one side which had caused one side of her thighs to be revealed while the fabric covered the other and was shown to be a longer length on that side.

There was two red bows in her hair that had separated the back parts of her long hair evenly to let them hang loosely, a red ribbon was around her neck that was toed into a bow and a red cloth sash was tied around her waist.

She had held a small pipe in her hand which had let out a faint smell of smoke which Mallory seemed to have remembered smelling from another location.

Her voice sounded very charming as she had curled up her lips and spoke. "Maeve.."

Just as she was about to speak up further, Tia had interrupted her timidly. "U..u..u..um.. put that out. It is not good for you."

Everyones eyes were attracted to the pipe that was lit and was still releasing a little smoke from it which had recently been used by Maeve.

Maeve rolled her eyes and replied. "Just get used to it. If you do not like the smell then move away."

Tia had timidly backed away by the stronger presence that had overpowered her with a couple of words. "I.. I.. okay."

Maeve continued after seeing that Mallory was still waiting. "I do not know if I have any useful skills but I am a fast learner. I can do whatever is required of me."

Mallory nodded. "Where have you come from?"

Maeve answered without concealing anything. "You know the place. It is the brothel that you visited and I am one of the younger trainees there that had been picked up by the boss. The boss said that I should follow you."

Mallory understood the meaning right away and sighed. "I will accept you but work hard to find your own place within the group. Do not do anything that would betray the trust I am putting in you and do not bring any harm to those in the group then that is all I will ask of you."

The brothel boss had been helped out by Mallory in the past and had been able to adjust to the new guidelines that had been put in place for her business that was being put into effect in many other businesses within the city.

She may have found it a little bothersome at first but by doing so, she had earned more trust and respect from the others that worked for her while having much healthier employees had helped her business pick back up quickly.

Without the harassment of troublesome groups and customers along with less notorious criminal groups causing problems, she had far less problems than she had in the past so her funds were steadily increasing.

Once Mallory had been announced as a level two, she had realised that it would be a missed opportunity if she just stopped having some kind of connection with Mallory once everything was over.

Maeve was one of the people that the boss had taken in at a young age and had intended to raise to work in the brothel like the others once they had come of age but Maeve was too outspoken and unruly which made it difficult to control her within such an environment.

It was a place where the women pushed aside their own feelings and put on large smiles as they acted in a way to please their customers so it was difficult for her to fit into that kind of environment.

If she did not want to do something or did not like someone then she would say so and would not care about how rude she was being or if it had upset them.

If there was anyone to send away to be used somewhere else then it would be Maeve and the boss had sent Maeve towards Mallory to keep some kind of connection between them.

Maeve would be a person that followed Mallory but she would also be a means for the boss to communicate with Mallory or to gain information on her depending on how she was used.

Mallory could see that there was no malicious intent from the person in front of her so she had accepted her even if there were some other intentions from the person behind her.

Out of her and even the bosses expectations, Maeve had went on to say. "The boss sent me here to get close to you and to send back any useful information that I think could be useful to her."

Mallory let out a short laugh. "If you can find anything worthwhile then I do not really care all that much so long as it does not bring any harm to me or others. I do not know why a woman in her position would want to get mixed up such dangerous things."

Maeve shrugged. "Me neither. I do owe her a little for providing me with a place live but I am still not so stupid that I would do something harmful to myself just to further whatever she has in mind."

She may have felt indebted to the boss but she had still been sent to Mallory to start a new life for herself so she could not let that opportunity go just because of her past loyalties and the things she had owed.

If there was anything that was asked of her that had put her at risk like leaking confidential information then she did not plan on doing so.

Maeve had no experience in combat but she had heard a thing or two about Mallory so she had no plans on earning the wrath of Mallory by betraying her.

Since Mallory had approved of the entry of Maeve, she had continued to the next person that looked like a noble and was dressed in fancy clothes. "You."

A black haired man with black eyes had pushed his hand back along his long tied back hair as his head and back had bent backwards to pull a weird pose. "Oh.. my lady Mallory."

He then leaned forward as he made more over exaggerated movements as if trying to display his charms. "My lady. Please allow this great Jaco to slay your enemies with this sword of mine."

A thin rapier sword was unsheathed from his waist that looked like it was a decorative noble sword that looked flashy but was not suited to real combat.

His display had caused Mallory to step back away from him. "Next."
