Chapter 028 Farewell
Halvir, who was disappointed, lowered his gaze.
''Again, Kak Halvir only listens to what you want to hear...''
Anindira saw how pitiful the handsome man who felt rejected in front of her was.
''I said, if this is my world...''
Halvir immediately looked back at Anindira after hearing Anindira's next words.
''In this world... I am alone. I don't know anything and am very weak. Like it or not, I will rely on you. Right now, I can only think that I need your presence to survive. I don't know yet if romance is included in it. How... even like that, is it okay for you?''
Anindira confirmed what she felt. She sincerely expressed her honest feelings as they were.
''For now, that's enough...''
Once again, Anindira's attitude made Halvir even more unwilling to let her go. A cheerful girl who was always calm and sincere to him.
''For now?!'' Anindira exclaimed while smiling and raising her eyebrows.
''Yes, for now.''
Halvir confidently expressed his understanding of Anindira's feelings.
''Okay, we agree.''
Anindira felt calm with Halvir, who was willing to understand and forgive her.
''Thank you,'' Halvir said while kissing Anindira's forehead, ''You've been honest with me.''
Anindira smiled sweetly in response to the blue emotion in her heart because of the romantic kiss from her first love.
''Now, let's continue our journey to the village chief's house!'' Halvir exclaimed while lifting Anindira.
''Okay!''
''Ah,'' Halvir shouted, remembering something. He also stopped his steps for a moment, ''Dira. This is about Zia...''
''Kak Halvir, don't provoke me!'' Anindira exclaimed in response to Halvir in an annoyed tone.
''It's not like that, Dira. I want you to understand, listen to me carefully!... Since I brought you from the *Forbidden Forest. I am determined to be your mate. And, about Zia... I know who she is. I know her because she is the daughter of the Village Chief. I have known her since she was born. She is like my own niece, nothing more!'' Halvir exclaimed firmly, explaining it to Anindira, ''You should know, since I decided that I would be your mate, I will not look at other women!'' Halvir continued to assert without blinking, his eyes continued to stare sharply at Anindira.
Once again, Halvir expressed his feelings. This time he clearly explained the determination in his heart which, of course, still shook Anindira's feelings.
''I will entrust you to the village chief. So, don't feel upset with Zia anymore! I only see her as the daughter of the Village Chief. My niece, nothing more!''
''Um,'' Anindira nodded and answered, ''That is Kak Halvir. Then what about her?!'' Anindira muttered in her heart because she still felt insecure, remembering how charming Halvir was in the eyes of women, especially for her.
''Just, eum?!'' Halvir exclaimed, ''I don't want you to be burdened with thoughts of Zia!'' Halvir exclaimed, reaffirming, ''Zia is beautiful, but she is just my niece. In my eyes there is only you, there will be no other women!''
''Yes, okay,'' Anindira answered with a blushing face.
Although it still felt heavy, Halvir felt a little calmer after the two of them expressed their feelings for each other. Halvir felt sure that Anindira and Zia would be able to be good friends.
''Dira,'' Halvir called to Anindira who was blooming in his arms, ''I'm serious about my proposal. I know you're not ready... but give me an answer when I get home later!''
Halvir was firm with his words while continuing to walk while looking straight ahead.
''Kak Halvir!'' Anindira shouted in annoyance with a tone as if she wanted to cry, ''Kak Halvir is still forcing your will on others then. I thought we had agreed to wait for each other...''
''Yes, we agreed on that. Two weeks until I return from the Lion Kingdom.''
''That wasn't in our conversation earlier!''
''That's why I'm emphasizing it again now, so you don't misunderstand.''
''This is still forcing your will!''
''No, I'm asking for your answer. Where did I force my will?!''
''But you definitely want a yes from me!''
''Of course, why would I want an answer that would break my heart?''
''You selfish Savages!''
''That's our nature,'' Halvir answered confidently.
*****
After talking heart-to-heart, they both finally arrived at their destination.
''Village Chief,'' Halvir called from below after lowering Anindira from his arms, ''It's me Halvir, I want to talk!''
A few moments later a handsome man with a strong and tall body came down to approach him. He had black hair like Halvir with bright purple eyes that flashed brightly. He looked mature with an appearance like he was in his mid-thirties, his aura around him showed calmness and authority.
''Halvir, what's wrong?'' asked the man.
''Village chief, this is Anindira...'' said Halvir while showing Anindira to him, ''I found her in the forest three months ago. Now I want to entrust her to you. Approximately two weeks. I have to go to the Lion Kingdom to prepare the necessities for her.''
The purple-eyed man looked at Halvir with a sharp gaze.
On the other hand, Anindira was surprised to hear Halvir introduce himself as the village chief.
''Finally, you made your choice!'' exclaimed Mischa, who sincerely congratulated Halvir with a smile on her face.
''Um,'' nodded Halvir.
''And now, you're in a hurry...''
Halvir did not answer, but his eyes confirmed the purple-eyed man's words.
''I understand...'' said the man in response to Halvir. A moment later he turned to Anindira, ''Anindira, that's your name...''
Anindira nodded in response.
''I'm Mischa, the village chief. As he said, you will stay with me while he's away. Do you understand?!''
Anindira nodded again in response to Mischa's words.
''Take care of her, I'll be back soon!'' Halvir exclaimed firmly, staring at Mischa.
''You're so unfriendly!'' the man exclaimed, ''I let you because this is the first time you've asked for my help. At least greet me often! I know you're strong, but do you have to ignore me?!''
''Chief, are you complaining now?'' Halvir asked casually, even though he was responding to the village chief.
''Yes,'' Mischa replied firmly while showing an annoyed expression, ''I'm complaining. Why?!''
''You haven't only known me for a year or two. I would be very sad if you also misunderstood me...''
Halvir's words were not only directed at Mischa but also at Anindira, who was immediately touched by it. But she immediately ignored it. She was thinking about something that was currently disturbing her curiosity. Her eyes focused on looking at the village head in front of her until she didn't realize that the two handsome and dignified men in front of her were watching her.
''Anindira!'' called the village chief, ''What's wrong?... Is there something on my face that bothers you?''
''Dira!'' called Halvir while holding her shoulder to wake Anindira, who was daydreaming.
''Huh?!'' exclaimed Anindira in surprise, ''Yes... what?!''
Anindira stuttered. She was shocked by the gentle shaking of her shoulder.
''What's wrong?'' asked Halvir again.
''Kak Halvir lied to me?!'' exclaimed Anindira with a frown.
''Me?!... When?!... And lying about what?!''
Halvir was surprised by Anindira's accusation.
''Brother Halvir said the Village Chief was ninety-seven years old?!'' Anindira exclaimed in a whisper, answering Halvir in a shrill tone.
''Ehm-ehm...'' The Village Chief cleared his throat, breaking their conversation. He heard very clearly even though Anindira was whispering.
''Halvir didn't lie. I am indeed ninety-seven years old.''
