Chapter 039 Warning

Despite panicking and being scared, Anindira did not give up hope. She kept running with her head, occasionally turning to find out where her pursuers were. Falling several times, but she kept trying to get up.

''Anindira...'' Gavriel called out to make sure he was conscious. Then, his blood boiled with anger. He saw a sad sight. Anindira's clothes were torn, showing her tiny twin hills covered in blood. When Gavriel looked more closely, there were abrasions and bruises here and there showing her struggle.

''Does it hurt...?!'' Gavriel said while wiping Anindira's tears.

Anindira didn't answer. She just looked at Gavriel with a concerned face.

''Hold on a minute...'' Gavriel said then. He tried to calm Anindira down, ''They must have realized it. They will come for you soon.''

Anindira nodded quickly with a puffy face in response to Gavriel's words. She then immediately hugged Gavriel very tightly.

''Bastard! You rotten bastards...'' Gavriel cursed, expressing his anger, ''You disgusting Hyenas who only know how to play with women in groups!''

''Little lion, you are acting in front of women,'' Emerald Hyena grinned disdainfully at Gavriel.

''Little lion,'' said the oldest Diamond Hyena. He also showed a disdainful face at Gavriel, ''Go away, we are giving you a chance!''

''Take the chance given, you will not be able to fight the four of us!'' shouted the smallest Diamond Hyena. He also teased.

''I am not a coward like you,'' Gavriel replied firmly. He showed arrogance on his face, ''You only dare because there is your pack...''

Gavriel, with a calm and confident face, threatened them back very loudly. But, suddenly Gavriel fell silent with his eyes wide when he sensed something dangerous was about to come from Anindira.

''He realized it...'' said one of the Hyenas with a grin.

''Um, do you understand now little lion?!'' replied the other Hyena.

''Could this be one of the scariest things for single men?!'' Gavriel realized something and muttered in his heart, ''A unique aroma that makes beastmen minds strange...''

Gavriel immediately reacted by reprimanding her and staring at Anindira with a sharp gaze.

''What...???'' said Anindira, who seemed to whisper because her voice barely came out.

Anindira was surprised to hear Gavriel call her in a high tone of voice with his eyes squinting sharply and looking at her inquisitively.

But Anindira then ignored him because Anindira also still did not want to divert her vigilance to the four Hyenas who had been relaxing and laughing at Anindira and Gavriel.

''This is bad, this is bad!'' Gavriel, who felt very annoyed, ''Why at a time like this?!'' Gavriel complained in his heart about what he had just realized. Something that would worsen the already critical situation.
