Leon then tapped his foot again and both winter and ironwood were covered in an isolation barrier along with himself. "now then i believe i was promised some answers." leon said casually. ironwood sighed "how much exactly has ozpin told you?" he asked seriously. leon frowned "not enough apparently considering he had an item just like that one under his academy , i mean it was stolen by the gods right after i collected it but still it was there originally." he said with a bit of irritation. ironwood looked confused at leon's explanation and winter mirrored this confusion.

"What do you mean 'stolen by the gods'?" she asked after not finding anything that could explain it away. "hmm? well i may have been planning to stash the item on the moon which kinda forced the literal gods to snatch it out of my hands." leon said with a shrug. "honestly if i knew it was part of some important plan they had i would have just left it alone , i've got no time for nonsense like that , well i mean i actually do have the time but that's not the point." leon said with an angry huff from the memory.

"Hold on a moment , you ACTUALLY interacted with the gods before!?" ironwood exclaimed in shock. leon chuckled "of course i have , you didn't think these eyes of mine were natural did you?" he asked rhetorically. it took both ironwood and winter close to ten minutes to stop falling down the rabbit hole as they tried and failed to explain leons eyes away beyond divine intervention. "are you some sort of divine agent sent to correct the world?" winter asked after thinking about the things leon has done so far. leon burst into laughter at this question since anyone really paying attention could tell that there was no way in hell he'd just sit under someone's foot like that.

Ironwood knew from leon's personality that such a thing was impossible but he didn't blame winter for thinking that since leon had single handedly advanced the entire world by decades at least. "you are just another pawn to serve a purpose much like ozpin then." he said simply. leon raised an eyebrow "oh? so ozpin has ties to the gods does he now?" leon asked and ironwood nodded "it's the source of his revival which you have likely noticed already." he said seriously.

"Yes that was a topic of debate that i had until now since i honestly assumed he simply used that aura transfer device of yours." leon admitted honestly. ironwood flinched at the mention of the technology in question since it was top secret amongst the top secrets at atlas. "so it is possible to extend someone's existence through that method after all." ironwood muttered not doubting leon at all since his genius was far beyond being challenged. "there are a few problems that would need to be solved first but in theory that is correct but the more likely outcome of the tech is to drive most who used it to madness." leon said with a shrug.

"A bit of free advice from me to you , drop the study like a bad habit and prevent a lot of worthless suffering." he said seriously while making sure to stare ironwood in the eyes so he knew he was not joking. "anyways i believe you were about to give me some answers before we all got a little distracted right?" leon changed the subject in an instant which caught the two off guard for a moment.

Ironwood started to explain about the shadow war with salem that had been going on in the background of history. he explained about the maidens as well as the divine artifacts as well as the purpose ozpin had told him they served. in the end leon was left very unhappy at ozpin since a whole lot of this information would have let him prepare more thoroughly for a lot of things.
