Run in with Crazy

"Yeah, so, let's just leave the box alone... 'Becca..." Ori says, taking the next turn off of the highway.

"Fine, fine... But if this gig blows up I get the first peek at it."

"Now you're just asking for trouble..." Sasha mutters, resting her cheek on her fist.

"Hm... Maybe you should have covered your skin, Rebecca." Six states from the backseat and he puts on a ridiculous-looking sombrero, along with a colourful poncho... (Raidens 'stealth clothes' in Revengeance)

"... Why..."

"Because we have bounties on our heads, and both of us are very identifiable."

Rebecca shakes her head, "No, I mean why the fuck do you think anyone's gonna leave us alone with you wearing that?" she gesticulates at his outfit.

"A disguise, I am just an average, everyday Mexican culture enthusi-"

"Bull. Shit. We're gonna get shot because some gonk's gonna think you're bein' racist or something!"

"I think it might work..." Sasha adds, drawing a glare from Rebecca.

Ori stops on a curb in next to a large apartment complex which was placed next to an industrial estate, he pulls the handbrake up and looks over his shoulder at them, "I'm on point, you guys keep an eye out for trouble, Sasha watches the car."

He gets out, grabs the crate from the back of the car and marches towards the apartment as Rebecca and Six keep a good distance behind him. I you wanted return business for small jobs like this, it was best to not scare off your customer base. Hopefully they could take a couple more gigs if they finished this one quickly enough.

The Maelstrom were certainly a threat to them, they'd driven past three groups of them til now, and it wouldn't surprise him if they patrolled the area. The gang wasn't as... Orderly, as saw the Mox or 6th Street. He knew well that them kidnapping innocent people off of the street at random was happening, not to mention the fact that Six and Rebecca would be big targets, not only because of their bounties, but because they looked like they'd have valuable Cyberware they could extract.

Ori walks up to the third store via the fire escape staircase and soon reaches his destination. room 092. The door sat opposite some railings that overlooked the carpark, allowing Ori to see Sasha from up there. He lays the metal create on the floor and gives the door a couple knocks, "Yo! Here with your delivery!"

...

"Hello!?" he calls after some silence, not hearing anything.

[Guy not there?] Rebecca asks via the comms, watching him from down the hallway.

[Doesn't look like it... And no, you can't open the box.] - Ori

[Sasha, checks the apartment cams.] - Six

[Got it...] - Sasha

Ori rests his weight against the railing, resting a hand on his hip where his pistol lay. His LMG was in the car, but he felt safe enough with Rebecca standing by with Guts.

[SHIT! Our guy's short-circing in his kitchen floor!] - Sasha

[Just let him flatline then, report that to the doc and take the box] - Rebecca

[Help him, we're not losing anything!] - Sasha

Ori chews his lip, he wanted to help, he really did. But breaking into this guy's apartment could put them all at risk. Since no Trauma unit has turned up it meant he was uninsured, so they'd have to pay out of pocket to get him treatment if he needed it.

[Six, thought?] Ori asks the merc, wanting a tie-breaker...

[Up to you.] Six answers neutrally, uncaring.

Ori rubs his face and lets out a sigh, "Fuck sake."

With that, he steps forward and kicks the door straight open, leaving a large foot-shaped indentation in its metal. "Hey! You alright!?" he shouts again, taking a single step into the apartment.

[Wait! He's stopped shaking!... He's on the move!] - Sasha

Ori blinks as he hears rapid sounds coming from the end of the apartment hallway, a blur springing from it. It was a small, skinny guy with deep black bags under his eyes. He wasn't wearing a shirt, showing his heavily modded body covered in surgical scars and Cybernetics.

His eyes were completely black, modded to look like pools of the abyss, even his bald head looked heavily modified, with bits of metal jutting out from it. The only other thing Ori was able to see about the guy was that his hands were covered in a white fluid, which seemed to be dripping down his nose liberally.

Synthetic blood? He thinks just as the guy reaches him, Ori's eyes widen as he realises the guy wasn't in his right mind, especially when the guy's fist smashes into his face.

*THUD!*

Ori's sent flying, straight out of the apartment and over the railing as he plummets three stories below. He groans in pain as he lands atop a car, caving in its roof as its alarm begins blaring.

"Holy crap! Ori are you alright!?" Rebecca shouts from the balcony, just as the guy who'd hit him hops on the railing like some kind of spider monkey.

"F-FUCK NO! THAT FUCKER'S CRAZY! SHOOT HIM!" Ori shouts as he peels himself off fo the roof.

[You're right! It's a Cyberpsycho!] Sasha reports to the group.

[I knew we shouldn't have helped! I blame you for this kitty!]

The Cyberpsycho had dropped off fo the railing after spotting the metal crate they'd delivered, and was in the process of trying to open it. He was failing of course, the security measures requiring someone of sound mind to actually access it, the fumbling psycho would have better luck headbutting it til it cracked.

"Hey, asshole! If you don't wanna get shot in the face, get those hands up!" Rebecca shouts, walking towards the psycho with Guts raised.

The guy just blinks at her a couple times, but before he could verbally reply she fires a shot at him, hitting him in the chest and throwing him off of the building, in the same manner he'd done to Ori. "Feels good don't it!?"

Ori watches the guy as he hits the ground, bouncing slightly but not showing any indication of pain. He gets to his feet and glances down at his chest which had been riddled with birdshot, none of which seemed to break through his subdermal armour. The external layer of skin was bleeding synthetic blood profusely however, meaning he'd taken at least some damage.
