"So, ya' wanna tell us what 'dat missile was about?" Jamarr questions as he and Xiaoyi sit opposite Ori as the merc shovels outrageous amounts of food into his mouth.

Ori shrugs in response, "Probably someone just trying to get rid of a dangerous psycho..." he says in between bites, already feeling his reserves restoring. The explosion had almost wiped out his fat storage since the nanites needed to use it to heal him, thankfully, it hadn't been enough to turn him into a skinny-ass zombie. There'd be questions if it had...

"And... 'Dat drone? Ya' didn't 'ave it when you first came..."

Ori glances over his shoulder at the drone which was still hovering behind him uncloaked. He'd thought that it would've left by now, but maybe his anonymous benefactor wanted the ability to contact him in future... Yeah, he'd deal with it in a minute.

"Managed to scavenge parts to rebuild it, might stick a machine gun on it...?" he shakes his head, "I'm only here to take a break, you weren't lying about the streets being a shitshow."

"We did warn you. I'm honestly surprised you came back in one piece though." Xiaoyi remarks.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence." he pulls out the tracker he'd been given. "I also stumbled across some discarded parts from my target. Cobbled this together, think you could help track him with it?"

Xiaoyi takes it and blinks, "You made this...? Quit pulling my leg and stop bullshitting me."

"Look, can you help or not? 'Cuz this'll cut the search time down by a lot."

...

"Fine."

The trio made their way to Cohen and hand him the device, allowing him to start triangulating the old man's location. It doesn't take long for them to find something.

Cohen zooms in a camera on one of the many entrances to the sewers, the manhole had been bent into a full right angle, and the area around the hole itself had been scuffed and bloodied. "Signal peters off around here, but I'm pretty sure we all know where it leads."

Ori sighs, "In the sewers again... Really..." he rubs his face before grabbing his stuff, his mangled revolvers and the stolen rifle.

"Hold up mon! Don' ya' want to chill out and wait a day? Ya' look tired as all hell!"

"I'm gonna grab the psycho and be out of this place by tomorrow. Not that I don't like your company, but for some strange reason I prefer the main city." with that, departs, leaving his bewildered 'friends' where they are.

--------------------------------

Out in the alleyway, he turns to the drone that kept following and pauses, "What is your purpose?"

...

He shrugs at the silence, before abruptly stabbing the Injector into it. Its jets fail as it sparks erratically, Ori holding it against the ground as a notification pops up in his peripheral.

[Permission to inject nanites and subsume technology?: Flesh Administrator]

"Do it."

With that command nanites stream out of the Injector, infecting every facet of the drone and pulling it apart piece by piece at a microscopic scale. The lights flickering across it quickly die down as more notifications open up as the absorption progresses.

[Technologies discovered]

Holographic Projection System-

Ori scrolls through the screen to reach the points of interest.

Inducted Jets : Propulsion system that allows flight and high speeds(Click to proceed). Bioelectricity Generators insufficient, external fuel source required(Click to proceed).

Optical Camoflague : Bends light waves to render the target unseen. Any EMP of any sort and severity will disable. Will need to be adapted for human use(Click to proceed).

While he wasn't surprised that the drone's jets were a no-go for him, it was a little disappointing. He'd probably need to carry a big ass battery on his back if he wanted to fly around however... And in that case, he might as well just buy a jetpack.

The optical camo however was usable. Though, this particular tech was designed for drones, it'd need to be mashed together with a bunch of other tech to make it viable as Cyberware, especially so if he wanted to have armour as well.

He glances down at the drone, or at least, what was left of it. Its metal was now turning black and streaming back into the injector, causing it to collapse in on itself as if it were a rotting carcass.

"Where's all the metal going?" he questions, knowing that large amounts of heavy metals would undoubtedly kill him if just stored in his bloodstream.

[We have created an organ to store processed materials. Your stomach, intestines, and other related organs have been dissolved to make room.: Flesh Administrator]

...

"Uh, what? I didn't catch that, it almost sounded like you removed some vital organs without my permission." he slowly replies.

[You gave Permission for us to 'Upgrade my digestive system'. As we can now break down any components at 100% efficiency, your organs are no longer required. We have left the Liver and Pancreas for now so that we may further catalogue all their functions.]

...

[We have also left part of your rectum, as we have found from research and our observation of you that some humans favour having things inserted.: Flesh Administrator]

"No... I like inserting, not receiving." he rubs the bridge of his nose while feeling around his abdomen. Truth enough, it was basically all now hard muscle, with no digestive organs needed to fuel the body, the nanites had elected to massive increase his core strength.

[We have named your new organ 'Repono metallum'. It will act to compress and store the materials you absorb. It comes equipped with radioactive shielding and other protection to assure no harm to the host is caused. Would you like us to elaborate?: Flesh Administrator]

"No..." he mutters, feeling like shit was moving a bit too quickly.

[Sufficient Materials have been found. Would you like us to make the alterations you requested previously?: Flesh Administrator]

"And what would that be?"

[Covering your arms in Composite Ceramic, we would recommend a mesh of Carbon Nanotubes and Titanium for further protection.: Flesh Administrator]

"Do it..."
