Trust

Reine was awake til late at night, he lay his head on his left arm as he watched Lunar sleep soundly, she actually tried to do the same thing as the other night actually, but Reine stopped her every move as he feared he might hurt her thigh in the process, Reine looked at her with a smile on his face as her left leg was on his, he stared at her in the dark, her eyes shut with her thick dark lashes visible to his sight, her hairs fell on the mattress as Reine enjoyed the view of the beautiful masterpiece that was infront of him. but remembering all that happened a few days back made his smile fade and looked at her with his eyes filled with sadness and disappointment, he sigh and raised his right arm and caressed her hairs

"You've already asked me for forgiveness, you've already said sorry for me, allowed me to touch you, and as much as I could want and need..."

Reine smiled as he remembered how he was teasing the skin underneath her knee, he remembered how he raised her dress with his fingers travelling along with it to her upper thigh and she still didn't reject nor deny his touch, he looked at her and observed her reactions, she seemed to like it and rather enjoy it.... but he never intended to do any of those naughty things, Reine was just testing her to see if she could stop him from doing anything he desired to do with her body and see if she could object, but she didn't, and that's why after all that teasing he did on her, he removed his hand and told her making an excuse, that it was time for her to sleep.....

looking at her now as he tucked her hair behind her ear, but then again, his smile faded away and told her rather to himself

"Then why does it still hurt whenever I look at your beautiful face my L....."

reine stopped when he was about to call her his, after all that happened, he literally didn't felt like she was his and his alone, he didn't adored her as how he used to before, he didn't feel those tinglish feelings in his heart whenever she hugged him like he felt in the past, all he felt was pain whenever he looked at her, he remembered how she lied to him, how she played his innocence, how she tricked him into going with her just so that she could run away from him and never return to him, and after hearing her answer when he asked her, he realized and made clear in his head that indeed, she was trying to leave him, leave him and mirrormoor, and never return to him again...

actually, Reine never went to see that lord, that day when he gave Lunar to Dean and leaped away, he actually went to see that lord in the dungeons, his anger at that time after seeing Lunar in such a condition, was unspeakable, unimaginable, and all he wanted to do was hurt, crush, and make Lord Henry suffer just like how his Lunar suffered because of him, but the king heard of this and stopped him midway, the queen also came and calmed him down so he couldn't kill that lord, and they were successful, they stopped him that day and all the rest of the days he tried to go to him.

But Reine always had this question in his head as to why did the lord sent Lunar to the dark forest, because if he wanted to kill her, he could've just done it in mirrormoor and get rid of her right then and there, and since he would be the king's brother, no one will ever suspect him. but why? why did he sent her out there?

and that's when he trapped her and made her confess to the actual truth that she was going there outside of mirrormoor when she got kidnapped by those guards of Lord Henry. when she confirmed it, Reine's heart ached and felt like it was being pierce by thousands of sharp needles, he was hurt, badly, that she was trying to run away from him and never go back to him, and her change in behavior now, only proved to himself that she was now only like this, because she knew that she couldn't survive without Reine, she couldn't be treated as how Reine treated her, she only allowed him to touch her because she knew that this prince was the only one who would treat her nicely and not like a slave with her master, and this thoughts and facts only made Reine believe that this Lunar was like this because she needed him to survive and to live in peace in mirrormoor, and thinking that he was being used, only made the torture more painful and his heart was hurting so badly and he felt like it was bleeding out of misery, but what Reine didn't understand was that he was busy experiencing a broken heart. he was heart broken, he was heart broken that she didn't believe him and she was only using him, that she only said sorry to him so that he wouldn't let her go....and this made things worse,

"It's painful, too painful, am trying to forget about it, forget about everything that happened but it's too hard, but I've already forgiven you, your sorry was enough to make me forgive you right away, but it couldn't erase them, I just, can't forget..... and that only increases the pain that am feeling in my heart, it's burning and I can't put the fire out, it's give me this burning sensations in my heart that I just... I just can't ignore it.....I love you, more than you could ever imagine, more than I, could ever imagine, but even then, seeing your face, hurts me, a lot...and I don't think that, if I could ever trust you, the way I trusted you, ever again..."
