The Trapped mate

I was so nervous about today, but I had been putting it off for too long, using any reason to avoid it. I had no reason now. I had to tell Iris the truth. Her birthday was on Sunday and i wanted this to be out before then. 


Iris and I were both doing out homework, even though it was Friday, because we had planned to spend the entire weekend with just the two of us and absolutely nothing to worry about. 


It was evening and we had just finished with dinner. There was no time like the present. My palms were sweaty and i could hardly focus on the words in front of me. 


“Iris, I have something to tell you. It’s really important and i’ve been holding it off for too long.” She looked at me with a smile that made my insides flutter and nodded.
