A Present.

Last night Azriel narrowly escaped from the barman. He told him that he felt the presence of a genasi in the garden.

Azriel knew it was because of the dark sky. Kielee was a water genasi who could also summon rain. She was still undergoing training. Anger was a dominant feature in them. If one can't control it, it would ruin him or her.

"I am glad you found a way to save our necks again" Stryga thanked him once more. There would be a lot of mess if anyone suspects them. They were close to achieving the second step which was making the princess fall in love with Azriel.

"Forget about last night," Azriel said as he turned to kielee and asked "What caused it? What made you so angry?"

She swallowed hard. He just asked her why she got so angry she exploded yesterday. How was she going to explain it to him? Seeing him with another man having fun made her lose her temper.

"Is it important?" Heather chimed in. She moved between them and smiled. "Forget about yesterday and let's focus on the tournament. We must win all and get the princess."

"I feel like you are hiding something from us," Stryga told her. He suspected them yesterday after her strange answers.

"Nothing…we are not hiding anything from you," Heather said with her heart thumping harder than ever. If her brother found out from another person that kielee was in love with him and that was the reason she lost her temper, he would be mad.

This mission meant everything to him. He was not ready to lose before it starts.

"Stop saving her neck, Heather Azriel said. He went to the door and opened it. "Whatever it was, I hope it doesn't happen again."

"It won't … I swear" She blurted regretting her words as soon as they came. Kielee should be the one to swear not her.

"Better…" Azriel said as his eyes moved to kielee. "Because if it happens again, I'm sending her back home."

"What?" both ladies uttered. They were surprised by his decision. He left as soon as he said it.

"He is serious so be careful," Stryga told them. He excused the ladies so that they could dress up for the tournament.

"Seriously?" Heather asked after the boys left. "Do you hear my brother or not?"

Kielee nodded. She was holding the tears that kept on coming. As a warrior, she never had a chance to cry much. The few times she cried, it was in Azriel's arms.

"Don't feel bad…he does not know that you have feelings for him" Heather tried to defend her brother. She did not want her best friend to be sent home too. "He is just acting as your commander. You know that right?"

Kielee nodded and pulled off her dress. She picked the yellow dress on the bed and wore it. It was not as fancy as those Royal dresses but she was okay with dressing like a maid. This was the only way that they could help Azriel…the man she loved so much.

She felt bad when Azriel said he was going to send her home. Kielee wondered if she was not important like the princess. Was she some piece of trash that he could throw away when he feel like it?

A knock came on the door. She has dressed already. Kielee went to the door and opened it.

It was Azriel! With his green eyes glittering at her. She pulled the strand of hair that fell from her face to the back.

But it fell back again.

He looked at her for a second and said "I bought this for you."

She looked at his hand. There were necklaces. Kielee was surprised "For your sister?"

"No…for you" Azriel answered. His brows furrowed in confusion as she stood in shock. He was expecting her to be happy or did she not find his gift interesting?

After all, she was kielee, the warrior. Many men tried to impress her but none could make her happy. She rejected them all and stayed unmarried. He wondered why a woman would do that.

He bought this necklace this morning as he walked down the street. It was beautiful and he could not take his eyes off it.

Heather did not wear any necklace because she believed she was a man.

She would frown if he present it to her. Kielee was the only option.

"Here," Azriel broke the silence. He brought his hand forward and said. "Have it."

"No" Kielee finally found her voice. She took his hand and dragged him to the boys' room. Fortunately for her, there was no Sigurd or Stryga.

She closed the door and smiled.

"What happened? Why did you bring me here?" He asked looking at the door, which she barely closed. Anyone could come in.

"Help me put it on, please" Kielee who stood in front of the mirror now and asked politely. He might decline but there was no harm in trying.
