Request from the prince

"Just a minute, I'll open the door"

The girl nodded. Her heart was pounding a hundred times faster when she heard Gwyneth's voice from outside.

Ophelie hid herself under the blanket so the princess wouldn't find out that she was here.

If Princess Gwyneth found out that she was alone in the king's chambers at midnight like this she might be immediately kicked out of the palace.

Cassius opened his bedroom door and saw his sister holding Averio who had just been crying. The boy's eyes were puffy.

"Gwyneth, what's happened to my son?" he immediately take over the boy from her.

Gwyneth restlessly shifts her weight from one foot to another. Judging by her sleepy face and disheveled hair, the princess must have fallen asleep before she came here.

"Averio has been crying all the time. He keeps calling out your name and that lowly human name. He seems to really hate his aunt"

Cassius rubbed his son's back "thank you for bringing Ave here. He will sleep with me tonight"

Gwyneth nodded "it's up to you then"

Cassius nodded. "Good night Gwyn"

The man immediately closed the door to his room and locked it tightly just before Gwyneth peeked out.

Don't let she see Ophelia in his bed or she'll start acting too dramatic. Sometimes her attitude made Cassius pissed with her.

"Your Majesty, prince Averio okay?" Ophelia asked worried as soon as she saw Averio in his father's arms.

Cassius put his son down and put him on the bed right beside her. The girl looked at the sleeping face of the prince who looked so deep and peaceful. His small lips mumbled softly "Mommy"

Ophelia immediately rubbed his chubby cheeks "I'm here"

The boy hugged her neck and made her lie down beside him. Averio's grip was so strong that Ophelia couldn't move.

Ophelia chuckled as she adjusted the pillow to make the boy feel more comfortable. She stroked his hair lovingly.

"My sister forced my son to sleep together. It seems now she understands that my son is not a boy who likes to be forced"

Cassius sat on the edge of his bed. Seeing the two figures lying on his bed instantly made his sleepiness disappear.

His heart warmed as he realized how all his life he had been waiting for a sight like this.

A sight he never had a chance to seen before because his wife had died not long after their child was born.

"He's a adorable boy" the girl mumbled subconsciously.

Her hand pinched the boy's cheek gently.

Cassius watched the two of them with a warm heart.

The king just sat there, looking at the scene as if he was afraid it would be over soon.

Until finally she couldn't help but fall asleep beside him, Cassius pulled the blanket up to Averio's chin and covered her chest.

He stroked her hair affectionately. Tonight there is nothing happier for the king than to see the two figures he loves fall asleep, safe and sound.

Gwyneth was a little annoyed that Averio was still mad at her.

According to her, this is a trivial matter. Gwyneth didn't feel like she was doing anything wrong when she pushed the human servant girl away and kept her away from her nephew.

It was Ophelia's idea to get the prince to distribute coins to his subjects. In this way, he thought the prince would know them better and the people would love the king and the prince even more.

"I did nothing, Your majesty. If the people are happy, it's all because of Your Majesty's kindness"

Cassius was a little annoyed at how she always refused compliments.

Averio looked gleeful. The boy was cheerful as he distributed his birthday gifts which were welcomed by the people who wished him a happy birthday or wished him and the king a health.

Cassius took a deep breath. This day is full of life. Really gives a new color to the monotonous days.

Few of them paid any attention to the human nanny standing in the circle of soldiers with the king and prince. Ophelia sighed in relief.

When they finished, they got back into the carriage. She was in the same carriage as Cassius and Averio when the little boy called out.

"Dad, I want a gift from you"

Ophelia seemed to be listening with interest.

"Tell me what it is son" Cassius was also enthusiastic.
