Playing hard to get.

The next day, I went to school on my track suit, since it was Wednesday. I didn't see J at the parking lot as usual, although his car was there. I also didn't see him in the locker room. He hasn't called me today. I was getting worried. I went to class and sat down.

"Regina, have you seen J this morning?" I asked.

"No, I haven't seen any of them today." she said. I turned to their seats, it was empty. I quickly dialed J's number but it was switched off.

"Gosh."I muttered looking around the class. The biology teacher came in. I was very restless, I hope he's alright.

Some minutes later, the five of them came into the class. I was glad that he was fine, but where was he? He smiled at me and teased my cheeks as he walked past my seat. I've got lots of questions to ask him.

I impatiently waited for lunch break. And as soon as it was lunch break, I quickly arranged my books into my bag. He walked to me.

"Baby." He called with a smile. I rolled my eyes at him. "Hey, are we fighting?" He asked.

"You're acting like everything is fine." I said and he sat on my desk looking perplexed.

"Is everything not fine? What's wrong?" He asked. I just felt like giving him a punch in the face.

"You're soo...ugh." I said and stood up to go but he held me close.

"Why are you mad at me?" he asked.

"You're seriously asking me that question? You haven't seen me for a while now and you didn't bother to call me or ask how I was today. And I was so worried about you but all along you didn't give a damn about me. You're clueless and right here asking me stupid questions."I said and he laughed, making me angrier. " Why the hell are you laughing?" I asked.

" You look so funny when you are angry." He said.

" You're so unbelievable."I said and struggled to get free from his grip. He held me firmly.

"Ok, I'm sorry baby. Let me explain." He said.

"I'm listening."I said and he sighed.

" I know I should have called you but we were at the principal's office so early in the morning."he said.

" Doing what?"I asked.

"Violet got into trouble and we had to help her out."he said.

"What sort of trouble."I asked, folding my hands.

"She insulted a teacher." He said.

"What? And you let her get away with it?"I asked.

"That's what friends are for, right?"he asked.

"No, it is wrong for anyone to do that. Why on Earth would she..."

" Come on, baby. Let's forget about that." He said, pulling me by my waist. "Don't you miss me?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"If I didn't miss you, I wouldn't be angry.. just let go of me. I'm hungry already."I said, looking away, playing hard to get. He captured my lips with his. Some of our classmates who were still in class started mumbling. "Stop it." I whispered to him but he kissed me again.

"I miss you a lot." He said and I pouted.

"Miss you too."I said with a smile. He smiled at me and stood up from my desk.

"Alright, let's go have something to eat." He said and I nodded. We both walked to the cafeteria. We took our food and went to a table.

"Do you have practice after school?" I asked.

" Yeah, and we have a mini competition on Friday. I hope you'll come."he said.

" Of course."I said with a smile.

"Then I'm certain we'll win." He said and fed me with some french fries.

VIOLET'S P.O.V

I watched as they both fed each other. I really hate Kyla. How can she just take J away from me? I'll do everything to make him mine.

"I need a plan." I said.

"I thought you are already doing something to keep them apart." Crystal said, chewing gum. We were sitting at a table not too far from Jeremy and Kyla's.

"Yes but it's not efficient enough." I said and she sighed.

"I really think we should stop this now that it hasn't gotten out of hand. I'm still afraid of what Jeremy would do to us if he finds out that we're doing this." she said and I glared at her.

"What's that supposed to mean? Crystal we've talked about this before. He isn't gonna find out. Even if he does, he would go easy on us. We're his friends."I said but she doesn't seem convinced. "Listen Crystal, instead of this negativity, you should be helping me come up with a plan."I said.

" Fine...you just have to get closer to J more than ever. The basketball practice after school will give you ample time to be with him. And another thing, keep doing things or saying things that his girlfriend doesn't do or say to him. He'll love your company more than hers. And the best part, say nasty things in a subtle way to him, about Kyla."she said brilliantly and I smiled.

" That's more like it. And that's the crystal I know."I said and gave her an high five. I stared at the both of them at their table. They were laughing, talking and all that. I just can't wait to have J as my boyfriend.

Soon it was closing time. I changed to my cheerleader outfit. A red crop top and a really blue short flare skirt. I wore my Snickers and tied my hair in a ponytail.

I walked out of the dressing room to look for J. I saw him walking with Kyla to the parking lot. I hurried to them. I embraced J.

"You're not coming yet?" I asked him.

"I'll be there soon."he said, holding Kyla's hand.

"Ok, I'll just wait." I said and Kyla rolled her eyes while I smirked. Kyla pulled him to herself and he placed his hands around her.

"Do call me later, ok?" she said.

"I will. When you get home, freshen up, and eat something."J said and she smiled.

" Yeah babe. Take care."she said and he kissed her. I scoffed and folded my hands. " Love you" she said as she got into the car.

"Love you more." J said blowing kisses to her. The car drove off. Finally.

"Let's go J." I held J's arm as we both walked to the changing room.

He went in to change while I waited for him. He came and I stood up and walked to him. I placed my hands around his shoulders.

"Wow..you look amazing." I said and he smiled.

" This isn't the first time you're seeing me in my jersey."he said.
