Chapter 12 - Little flower..

(Mc pov)

My hair dripped, bringing with it all the filth of mud, blood, and flesh of the battlefield. The maid's hands soft, ever delicate as she washed my hair slowly. My hand raised a cup of wine to my mouth as I quenched my thirst upon lord Corlys request, watching the man sit across from me with unmoving eyes.

"Now that the formalities are out of the way, tell me, Prince Keth, what is it you truly want." Corlys said to me, barely touching his wine, his lips on it for but a moment as he placed it on the table, his eyes looking over me, my queen, or future queen stood behind him.

"You two cast quite the image, lord and lady Velaryon.." I commented, I meant it, if it wasn't for the relationship I had with Rhaenys, I would have a deeper admiration for them. "Well that aside, what I want Is not something easily given." Seeing my words had an effect, watching Corlys straighten his back as Rhaenys placed her hand on his shoulder.

"What feat is it, that even the mad rider could not take it for himself." Corlys said, his words testing, trying to see if it would provoke anything in me. "And what does it have to do with me? Our relationship is a far-cry from what I thought as gaining your favor, prince Keth." Corlys continued, his face just like mine had not changed, and even so it did not bother me.

"Your words are clear, and sharp.. I like that lord Corlys. As for the favor, even before my first ride, driftmark has always homed Fortassax, long before my time, that in itself is enough to gain it, as driftmark will always be Fortassax's home." I chuckled, moving my head as the maid started on the top, my words left curious as Corlys looked into my eyes.

"Fortassax has defended driftmark even before my fathers, father was still but a boy." Corlys said, his hand spinning his cup as he looked to be thinking back. "Yet still I'm left wondering, Fortassax did so because that is where she wished to lay, not out of loyalty to my house, she has obeyed no one but you throughout history. What i want to know, it's what you yourself wish to gain.." Corlys said, just like Rhaenys said to me many times, the man is not a fool, and flowery words are merely just that to him.

"Have I not made myself clear.. sorry lord Corly." Smiling I looked at Rhaenys for a second, only for my lips to part. "I wish for a home, lord Corly.. and with it, I will pledge myself and Fortassax's service as weight to my honesty." My words fell like water, rushing like a river into Corlys ears.

"You wish to make a home in driftmark?" Corlys thought for a while, his head shaking as he questioned only to raise his eyebrows. "Even more so, your words placed carefully could be taken as trying to weaken the crown, taking away one of King Viserys most powerful pieces." Corlys seemed to have placed my words together, his body shifting in the chair as he looked into my eyes.

"You are mistaken on a few things lord Corlys, I do not wish to make a home in your land." My eyes smiled at him, my hand reaching back, gripping the maid's neck as I brought her between my legs squeezing. "And who would know these words other than us? My loyalty has always been to my brother, I merely wish for your support." I said, my head leaning down as the girl kicked, her arms moving to try and get me to let go.

"Maliketh.." Not surprisingly, it was Rhaenys who spoke, her hand gripping Corlys shoulder as I gripped the girls neck more, her struggles growing as Corlys looked at me.

"There is no need to go that far prince Keth, like you said, I was merely telling you how your words could be taken." Corlys eyes shined lightly, it seems he understood how serious I was, not even giving the maid a second look as I let go.

"You would do well to keep your mouth closed, or rather sooner have your head separated from your body." Leaning my head down, I spoke in the girls ear, clearly enough for Corlys and Rhaenys to hear.

The girl stumbled up, her legs weak as she nodded her head, her arms trembling as Rhaenys stepped forward with her arms open. "Come little flower.." she said, as the maid rushed into her embrace.

"So that still leaves something unanswered, If not the keep or driftmark, where do you wish to call home?" Corlys waved his hand, sending the maid and Rhaenys to the room connected to this one. Questioning me as he leaned forward.

"I would ask my brother for something long forgotten.." I said, thinking for a moment as I picked up my cup, drinking it all. "Harrenhal.." Upon my words, Corlys eyes widen at my words.

"You wish to ask for a ruin from your brother? Then what need would you have for my support." Corlys said, his voice confused at my words.

"A ruin now, but for the last 5 years, my black stone masonries have taken scale of the massive castle, working on the materials for it as I had ordered them to, with your help, moving the materials and making Harrenhal my own will go much smoother." I said, him knowing would change nothing, even if he didn't wish to support me.

"Harrenhal still has its value, and My brother knows this, giving a large fortified Castle, to a mad man, with the largest dragon.. could bring unwanted problems." I said, I knew who would speak out, but with at least Daemon and Corlys at my side, my brother would have to think about it more carefully. "Especially a cunt who thinks he has more say than my brother.." I finished, my words getting a chuckle from Corlys as I leaned back.

"it seems you have thought about this for quite sometime Prince keth." Corlys said, his face trying to hide a smirk as he drank from his cup.

"A man must think of his future, and I am no exception. But the decision still lies with you, my men, my service and my dragon for your support."

Corlys sat in silence for a while, as I poured more wine, the red color as if a mix of thoughts, the sky started to change as I looked out to the sky, feeling the wind change as I felt peaceful.

"Tell me more about this prince keth.."

[Later that night within the keep]

Crisp steps rang as it echoed off the walls, a figure moved steadily as they rubbed their neck, their face a mess of anger, while they ground their teeth. The shadows of the night shifted with the moon far above, the sky trying to cover its beautiful glow with clouds.

"I have news for lord Hightower.." Making it to the far end of the hallway, a sweet voice came out of the person's lips, their body leaning on a wall as they talked to a man in a gray cloak.

"It really is a shame.." At her words, a deep voice came from under the hood of the cloaked man.

"Uhh?!" The young maid's eyes opened wide as she looked at the man press her into a wall, his face covered but for his lips that smiled.

"You should have taken my lords words more seriously.." The smile graced his lips even more, watching her eyes almost pop as she tried to speak.

Her small body held up, her neck gripped trying to kick the man, yet nothing she did stopped his hand, fear, sorrow, and regret licked each part of her face. Her eyes losing the light of hope as she looked over the mans shoulder, watching a woman come from out of the darkness, her face clear as she gripped her chin.

"Let's have a talk.. little flower.."
