Rescue mission

In the midst of the forest covered by trees and illuminated by the light of the moon. In a patch where the trees surrounded a patch of land where the moon shined greatly at the grass. In there, a group of people was crowding the patch.

From the darkness of the trees, a silhouette of a woman appeared slowly. Noticing the silhouette, the group started to be on guard for the dangers that were about to come. But, as the light shined on her, the group noticed who she really was and was delighted to see her.

"Is this everyone?" Zhang Xiu said as she scanned the group of people.

"Yeah, other than that dude that guided us, everyone is present. How did it go? Talking to them and all." A girl from the group said.

"Worse, absolutely awful. They asked for more stuff than what we could offer them, they even asked for renegotiation on the pretext that we would cooperate and provide them all of the things they asked for from the previous deal." Zhang Xiu sighed and drooped her shoulders.

"Are you going to accept what they said?"

"I have no choice, do I? We still have to finish our business here fast so we can prepare for the fight in our world."

"Zhang Xiu, don't go." One of the groonie of Zhang Xiu's group said to her.

"We already made a deal. I get my sister back and we would renegotiate and fight together, you already know that. We made that deal a long time ago."

"But can you trust them? Do you remember what they did to our sect!"

"There's only one person we should take revenge on, only someone related to that monster should be punished. I only have one value and that is to not fight the innocent but fight the guilty. Only the daughter of that demon is someone I know who is guilty" Zhang Xiu lowered her eyelids and stared at the ground.

"Zhang Xiu... Be careful."

"Don't worry, I will," said Zhang Xiu as she turned around with a smile.

"Now then, where are the others," Mary said on top of the bloody mess he did. Covered by blood, he stood there looking left to right in the dark forest.

The body parts of the demon scattered all around the area, with the blood and organs steaming from the heat of the enchantments casted by Mary. When you look at it from another perspective, it would be like someone just beat the hell out of someone and it turned into a bloody murder.

Mary looked all around with his detection spell and noticed how bloody he looked.

He then started waving his hand all around his body, using the spell that cleans the blood on his clothes and body like the one he used on Shea back when he first entered the forest.

The blood dissipated, not only from Mary but also all around him because it turned a bloody mess.

'All of them ran away without thought. Because of that, I was left all alone and all. But because I beat the demon, there really was no need to rush and run away... I wonder what they were afraid from that demon....."

Mary was lost in thought when a sound was heard nearby. Immediately reacting to the sound, Mary casted a detection spell to scan an noticed that those sounds were not from demons.

'If it's not demons then it could only be the people part of Zhang Xiu's group. From the looks of it from my detection spell, they seem to be looking for something.'

Mary kept on observing with his detection spell until he noticed that the group was going closer to him.

'Their coming straight towards me.'

All of a sudden, a duo of girls popped out of dark forest.

Mary recognized one of the girl since it was the girl that provoked him a while ago.

"There you are! Please, please help us." The girl suddenly kneeled in front of him.

"Yes, please help us." The other also kneeled.

"What's going on, why would you suddenly kneel in front of me. Please stand up." Mary urged for them to stand.

However, the two stayed kneeled down.

"We can't do that, we have to kneel so you would help us."

"Just tell me why, I will for sure help you."

Hearing what Mary said the girl kowtowed and had her head on the ground.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you very much."

"It's okay, just tell me what do you girls need help for. And also, please stand up. It's really awkward having two girls kneel in front of me."

Understanding what Mary said, the two stood up.

"It's Zhang Xiu, please help us take her back from the demons! Wahhhhhhhh" The girl wailed.

"What happened?! Why was Zhang Xiu suddenly taken from demons." Said Mary on a loud tone

Hearing the tone of Mary's voice, the girl wailed even more.

"WAHHHHH, WAAAWAHHHHH"

"It's okay it's okay."

Comforting the girl, the other girl started to talk.

"How Zhang Xiu was taken happened like this...

The group all gathered on one spot when Zhang Xiu appeared. She negotiated with the demon and asked for them to return Zhang Qi'er (Shea), which failed and the demons asked for more.

So when Zhang Xiu returned to the group and told us about it, we agreed so we would hurry it up and she went and go to give the demons what they want.

However, after Zhang Xiu disappeared in the darkness of the forest. We were suddenly surrounded by demons and we're ambushed.

Some of us fought and lost their lives while some of us ran away.

When we ran away we heard the demons talk and it went something like this

"They really are dumb, to think she would show us where their hiding. After this, the master will handle of that girl and we would return with both their heads."

So now... We are okay with dying but if Zhang Xiu dies then we would be devastated

So please help us"

"I can... But, we don't even know where the demons hideout is? How can we try to get Zhang Xiu back? if possible I want both her and Shea to return."

"About that, those who ran gathered together in one spot to discuss what to do. We decided to look for both the hideout and for you since your strength was on par with Zhang Xiu, and from the looks of it you also beat that annoying demon."

"He wasn't really that much...? Why were you guys scared of him."

"...not much? He was considered as one of the most wanted criminals in our world you know? He had a bounty big enough to own an immortal palace."

"Is that so?"

After hearing the word bounty, Mary took one of the demons horns and brought it along with him.

"Hmph, you already promised to not come to our world yet here you are aiming for the money in there."

"What can I say? I am about to save your leader won't I get something in return?"

"You're a rascal. Follow us, we will lead you to the group so we can plan everything out. Maybe you might even get a chance"

"Alright then."

The girl calmed the other girl down and guided Mary back to their meetup location.

On the way there, there were some demons roaming akong. But, they didn't last as they were skillfully killed by the two girls.

"We're here."

In the meetup place only a small amount of people remained from the ones that entered the forest. From the looks of their faces, they are probably dead.

"Everyone I found him. Where is the scouting team that was responsible for locating their hideout?"

"Their not here yet... Maybe... They are already gone?"

"Hey!! Don't say that. They will come back I know of it"

The girl scolded one of the dude when a ragged voice was heard through the forest.

"~Ev...ery...one!!! We found it." A ragged boy was heard trying to scream even though he was fatigued.

"See! Told you they will comeback. Where is the others?"

"They couldn't return, I'm so sorry, I even barely scrape of their sacrifices just to return."

Hearing this the group started to be depressed. Some noises of discomfort and sadness was heard but another information made them focus.

"They maybe are gone but their sacrifices were not in vain. Now tell us, where is this hideout."

"... Right! We... have to hurry. They are about to go back to our world. I saw them carrying both Xiu and Qi'er all the way to the crack."

"What?! If what you said is true then we have to hurry up! If they were to get back it would be harder for us to get them back ever again!!!"

"Then what are you waiting for, Let's Go!!!" Mary screamed guiding everyone to finally move and not be scared.
