* NICHOLAS *

I looked at her sleeping figure, so peaceful and so calm as she snuggled deeper into me. I stroked my fingers on her cheek and she stirred in her sleep.

"Wake up my love." I whispered and she opened her eyes slowly, meeting my gaze.

Those eyes could kill.

She smiled at me and stretched.

"How long was I asleep?" She asked me and I breathed in her rosy scent.

"It's hardly been an hour." I told her an she frowned.

"Why'd you wake me up then? Come on, let's sleep." She yawned and pulled me towards her but I held her hand.

"As much as I'd love to hold you tonight, I'm afraid I have to take you home. Your family has been calling you. I answered your father's call and told him you were asleep and that I'd bring you home in a while." I told her and she nodded, getting up and reaching for her phone.

"Did he say anything else?" She asked me scrolling through her messages.

"Just to take care of you." I told her and she smiled at her phone and looked at me.

"You better take care of me then." She said and I leaned towards her, placing a lingering kiss on her lips.

"Oh I plan to." I smirked at her and pulled her out of the bed and put my coat on her shoulders.

"Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?" I asked her and she blushed.

"Quite a few times but I don't mind." She shrugged and we walked out hand in hand. The car ride was spent in a comfortable silence, her hand in mine as her head came to lie on my shoulder.

We stopped at her front gate, a beautiful two story house near the woods, and got out of the car.

"So you are rich." I told her, looking at her house and she gave me an 'oh really?' look.

"Don't pretend you didn't already know that. I knew you did a background search on me." She narrowed her eyes at me and I shrugged.

"Can't help myself sweetheart." I flashed her a toothy grin and she rolled her eyes, walking towards her front door, but I saw the smile on her face.

Caught you sweetheart.

I put my hands in my pockets and followed her to the door. She rang the bell and moments later her father opened, looking worried.

"Oh thank god you're okay." He hugged her tightly and kissed the top of her head.

"I'm fine dad." She smiled at him and he smiled back and then glanced at me, his face hardening. I went ahead and put my hand out for him to shake and he took it, eyeing me suspiciously. He had the same eyes as Dove, I noticed when I looked at him.

"Nicholas King. It's good to finally meet you sir." I said and he nodded, eyeing the guards behind us.

"David Winchester. Come in. We have a lot to talk about." He said and I nodded, following him into a spacious drawing room. A maid brought us drinks as we settled on the couches and Dove's mother came in and hugged her.

"Oh my darling! Where were you? Are you okay?" She looked at her carefully, scanning her for anything.

"I'm fine mom, really. I'm okay." She reassured her and her mother sighed in relief, then looked at me and her eyes widened.

"Who's this young man dear?" She asked her.

"I'm telling you everything mom, come sit with us." She said and her mother sat next to her father who sipped his drink while mine was still untouched.

Dove glanced at the empty seat beside me and came to sit close to me. I smiled at her and she smiled back, both of us getting lost in our own world when her father cleared his throat and we both looked at him.

"So. You say your name is Nicholas. How do you know my daughter?" Her dad asked me and I took a sip of my drink.

"I met her at a café near her college. She bumped into me there. And five times after that at different places." I smirked and saw his father chuckle.

"That sounds like her." He said and Dove smiled at him.

"I told him I'd get him a coffee and that's where it all began... We met coincidentally so many times... And he was there for me at difficult times... we ended up getting closer to each other." She spoke and her father nodded.

"We got together as well... um... but things fell apart and there were some misunderstandings..." She started and her father frowned.

"Is that why you came here?" He asked and she nodded with hesitation.

"Yes... I was um.. hurt... and said some things to him that I regret. So I left.. Because I was too afraid to face reality." She sighed and I placed a hand on her thigh, rubbing gently and she smiled at me.

"That's not how we raised you dear. You need to own up to your words and your actions... Be bold, but be wise too." Her mother spoke and Dove nodded.

"I know.. I shouldn't have left... I was just scared..." She said.

"It's alright sweetheart. What matters is that you realize now." Her father said and looked at me. "I know for a fact that she isn't the only one at fault."

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

"Yes. I've made many mistakes too. Ones I regret deeply. But I regret not following her the most. I wish I could have done more but we couldn't find her anywhere. I only found out a few days ago that she was here, and I came as soon as I could." I exhaled and looked at Dove.

"I made a mistake, and I'm really sorry I pushed you into something and let you be treated like that. I'm so sorry." I said looking into her eyes and saw them soften.

"I forgive you. Almost." She chuckled along with her parents and I relaxed a bit.

"But you'll have to work harder if you want to keep our daughter." Her mother looked at me pointedly and I nodded.

"I'm willing to do anything it takes for her. Even if it means I'd have to shed blood." I said and Dove's eyes widened in horror while her parents chuckled. But Dove knew I meant what I said.

"I'm sure that isn't necessary." She chuckled nervously.

"So what intentions do you have for my lovely daughter?" His father asked me and I glanced at Dove and intertwined our fingers. I gazed into her bright blue eyes and smiled.

"I love her. I look at her and my heart trembles." I said and she looked at me such adoration in her eyes.

"I love you too." She covered our intertwined fingers with her other hand, smiling at me. I kissed her forehead briefly and we both looked at her parents who were now smiling at us.

"I'll take your word for it. I'm trusting you with my daughter's heart. Don't make me regret my decisions." Her father said firmly and I nodded my head.

"I won't. Never." I told him firmly and he gave me a fatherly smile and patted my back.

"Well then, I guess this is where we bid goodbye." His father said. "Actually. " He added glancing at Dove and then at me. "Why don't you join us for a family dinner tomorrow?" He said and both Dove and I looked at him in surprise.

"Yes! That would be lovely!" Her mother clapped her hands and looked at us excitedly. Dove gave me a nod and I smiled at he father.

"Sure. I'd love to join you." I said and he nodded.

"Great. See you tomorrow at 7 then." He said and I walked towards Dove who smiled at me. I pecked her lips and leaned towards her ear.

"Dream of me." I whispered and went out, the driver opening the door for me. I looked at the closing door of her house one last time and went back to the hotel where an anxious Jake was waiting for me the moment I entered my room.

I grabbed a bottle of scotch and put it on the table along with two glasses and poured us both a drink.

I swirled it, reclining in my seat as the anger started to take over me in waves.

"Let's kill that fucker for good." I said and Jake smirked, toasting his drink and I did the same.

Rest in peace my friend. You messed with the wrong girl.
