Nico finally pulled away and smirked. I turned my head and glanced at Liam who just stared at us with wide eyes.

This just got weird.

"You're with him?" He asked me in disbelief and I nodded solemnly.

"Yeah... He's my boyfriend." I said averting my gaze.

"But he.. he's not a good person Dove!" Liam suddenly stood up. "And I have a feeling you know that, don't you?"

"I know everything about him Liam and I choose to be with him because... because I love him. He's not a bad person." I said this and Nico smiled at me while Liam just sighed in frustration.

"But he hurt you. You should've seen yourself when you came here. And you still want to be with him?" He asked me and I sighed.

"We're working on it Liam, trust me. He makes me happy like no one else. I haven't forgiven him for everything yet, but we're working on it." I said and Liam just shook his head.

"And you wear their family crest. Why?" He asked us.

"Because she's mine." Nico deadpanned and both Liam and I looked at him.

"She's not an object you can claim." Liam said.

"I know. Which is exactly why you should let her decide who she wants to be with." Nico told him and Liam just looked at him speechless.

"And what about me Dove? Do I not make you happy?" He asked me.

"You do Liam, you do make me happy. We've been friends for so long now." I told him and he released a shaky breath.

"That's not what I meant Dove." He chuckled nervously and ran his hand through his hair. "I liked you Dove. So much. I was afraid of ruining our friendship so I never asked you out. I was supposed to yesterday. But he.." He pointed at Nico. "He came between us."

I felt Nico stiffen beside me.

"What?" I looked at him shocked.

"I liked you first Dove, and I will have you." He said and walked out of the kitchen.

I just sat there, speechless.

Liam has liked me all this time when I thought he didn't.

But did I feel the same about him? Sure I liked him back in high school and I still do a bit. But that's all it was. A crush. Nothing more. And right now my heart was only yearning for one person. Nico.

I turned around to face Nico getting up from the stool, I put my arms around him. He stiffened at first but then he relaxed and pulled me closer, putting his arms around me, nuzzling his face in my hair.

"Do you... regret it?" He asked me.

"Regret what?" I asked him and he sighed.

"Being with me. You could've had a more normal life with him. I know you used to like him too." He said and I pulled away from him frowning.

"No Nico, I don't regret being with you because I love you, and only you. Yes, I did like him but that's all it was. A crush. My heart beats for you, and no one else." I said and he closed his eyes, sighing in relief.

"I was so worried for a second there." He whispered and hugged me again. "You know I'm dangerous and yet you still want to be with me. Thank you." He whispered in my ear and I smiled.

"Looking for the good in people is never stupid. And I see a lot of it in you. And beside, you can't get rid of me that easily." I said pulling away and he smiled, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"I love you." He whispered and and I smiled.

"I love you too." I whispered back smiling when someone cleared their throat. Both our heads whipped to the door where everyone was standing. And I mean everyone. Except Liam.

"As sweet as this moment is, we have to start cooking now." My mom said and I pulled away from Nico blushing hard and averted my gaze.

"How long have you all been standing there?" I asked them in disbelief and they chuckled.

"We've been here since Liam left the kitchen." Dan said and I scowled at them.

"It's not nice to eavesdrop." I said placing my hands on my hips and Nico smirked while my family just came into the kitchen. I threw my hands in the air and walked over to my parents.

"I'm so happy for you dear." My dad said and hugged me. "I can see the love he has for you in his eyes. Don't let him go." He said and I smiled.

"I won't." I said and glanced at Nico who threw me a grin.

"So." My mom clapped her hands and got everyone's attention. "We decided to make teams of two or three and each team will make something for tonight's dinner, along with dessert. Alright?" She said and I nodded my head enthusiastically, just as Liam enetred the kitchen. Our eyes met and we both looked away.

"Everything okay?" Abby asked me and I sighed.

"It'll work out." I told her and she nodded, going to Cole and Liam. Apparently those three were in one team. Mom and dad were in one and Dan and Ava were the third team.

Before I could say anything, Nico pulled me towards him and grinned at me.

"Ms. Winchester, would you do me the honor of joining in my team?" He asked me in a sultry tone and I blushed.

"I'd love to." I took his hand and he shot me charming smile, placing a peck on my lips and taking off his coat. He loosened his tie and took off his cufflinks, rolling up his sleeves.

Ava and Abby both stood beside me as we stared at him roll up his sleeves over his perfect arms, and I imagined running my hands over the smooth skin. Our mouths hung open and everyone stopped to look at what had us so hooked.

"Oh dear god." Abby whispered and Nico looked up at us after rolling his sleeves up. He glanced at me and smirked when he saw our faces.

"You're drooling my love." He said and all three of us closed our mouths, averting our gaze.

From a corner I heard Cole snicker and my parents chuckled while all three of us scowled. Nico just smirked knowing the effect he had on us.

"The sluttiest thing a man can do is roll up his sleeves." Abby said and everyone erupted into laughter. Ava glanced at Dan sheepishly who just kissed her cheek laughing.

We continued with our work, music playing as we laughed and chatted, cooking at the same time. Nico and I had decided to make Moroccan Chicken along with rice and some vegetables as a side.

While Nico struggled to cut the vegetables, I prepared the batter for making my famous chocolate fudge brownies. I saw Nico struggling and walked over to him.

"Have you never used a knife before?" I asked him sarcastically and he raised his eyebrow at me.

"Do you really want to know that?" He asked and Cole, Abby, Ava and Dan all paled and looked at him horrified.

"Let me help you." I suddenly said, not wanting him to say anything further and helped him cut the vegetables. He made the rice while I made the sauce for the chicken.

I would often hear someone arguing or trying to infiltrate the other teams, but would get caught. When the sauce was done, Nico put some on his finger and tasted it.

"How is it?" I asked him and he smiled.

"Would you like to try?" He asked me in a sultry tone and I nodded. He put some sauce on his the back of his hand and held it out for me.

I wrapped my fingers around his wrist and pulled his hand closer, licking the sauce off of his hand slowly. I saw his eyes darken a shade as I pretended to think and bit my lip.

"It's good isn't it?" I said finally and he cleared his throat and gave me a small smile.

"Yes. Um.. it's good." He looked away from me and I left his hand, my gaze wandering to Liam who was watching us closely. I could see the hurt in his eyes when he looked at me so I looked away and poured the sauce over the chicken and went to check on my brownies.

Setting the brownies in a plate, I waited for them to cool down. Nico walked over to me and reached for one but I slapped his hand away.

"Not now. They're hot." I said and he frowned.

"Just one. Please." The way he said please made my heart melt and I gave in, shaking my head.

"Fine. Just one." I said and put one brownie in a tissue and handed it to him. He took a bite and smiled.

"Is it okay?" I asked him and saw the mischievous glint in his eye. He leaned down and kissed me, and I could taste the sweet brownie. I pulled away blushing and glanced around to see if anyone was looking, but luckily no one was.

I narrowed my eyes at him and he smirked.

"Good, no?" He said smirking and walked away from me, as a smile made its way to my face.

He knows just how to make me smile.
