"So we're doing black and white, with gold?" The wedding planner, Julia, asked me and I nodded, biting my lip in thought.
"Shouldn't I ask Nico first, though?" I looked at Adriana who shrugged.
"Ace said he was fine with whatever you wanted as long as you showed up on the altar." She said rolling her eyes and I chuckled.
"Okay, I think this is good then." I said with a smile and Julia nodded, writing down something on her iPad.
"Alright then, and where do you want the wedding ceremony?" Julia asked me when I looked at Adriana.
"All of our family weddings happen in a specific church here." Adriana said.
"The same one where you got married?" I asked and saw her nod.
"Okay, so I guess the reception can be held here then?" I questioned when Addy agreed.
We looked through flower arrangements, decorations, invitations and a few more things when I got a call from Nico.
"I'm outside, hurry up." He said and I frowned when he hung up suddenly and excused myself, going outside where I saw many guards and a black car.
Nico stepped out once he saw me and I smiled, running up to him. He caught me easily, crashing his lips to mine to give me a long, searing kiss.
"God, I missed you so fucking much." He said when I giggled.
"You saw me in the morning, Nico." I said rolling my eyes when he smirked, pecking my nose.
"Doesn't mean I can't miss you." He grumbled and I chuckled as he pulled me into him.
"What are you doing here? Don't you have meetings?" I asked with a frown when he smirked and led me to his car.
"Where are we going?" I asked sitting inside as he buckled me up and got into his own seat as we drove out of the estate.
"Now, what I'm going to tell you is serious, so don't freak out or kill me, okay?" He asked looking at me briefly before giving the road his attention.
"What do you mean by don't freak out?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"We're getting married." He said and I gaped at him, before bursting out laughing.
"Wow, that was a good one, seriously though, what is it?" I asked chuckling but he seemed unfazed as my smile slowly disappeared.
"Nico... You're joking... right?" I asked a little confused when he pursed his lips and my eyes widened.
"Nicholas Ace King, I swear to God-"
"Yes, we're getting married, I'm not joking." He gritted out, looking at me meaningfully when we stopped at a red light while I looked at him absolutely flabbergasted.
"W-what? Why?" I questioned him confused when he sighed.
"I want you to be mine, now. I can't wait any longer." He said impatiently when I frowned.
"But I wanted the whole planning-the-wedding thing. You know, choosing a theme, a cake, a dress. I wanted all of that. Unless you were planning on divorce so I could get married again and fulfil my dreams." I said a little annoyed when he glared at me.
"What the fuck? No! I-... Fuck, baby, you can have your wedding, the cake, the theme and the rest but I wanted it to be just us today. We can get married, but no one has to know and then you can have a proper ceremony, just like you want, I promise." He said.
I looked at him shocked, quiet for a few moments and surprising myself.
Am I actually thinking about this?
"Baby, say something, we've nearly reached the courthouse." He pleaded when I sighed, making up my mind.
"Alright. I'll marry you." I said and saw his broad smile as he looked at me lovingly.
"Thank you baby. There's a dress and shoes for you in the back. Go change quickly." He urged and I nodded, going to the backseat from the middle and accidentally kicked Nico, making him wince.
"Whoops, sorry." I smiled sheepishly when he glared at me playfully and rolled his eyes.
"Sorry my ass." He muttered and I smiled at him innocently, pecking his cheek before taking out the dress from the garment bag.
I looked at it with awe, running my hands over the simple yet beautiful dress as the partition slid up.
So pretty.
"What's this for?" I asked through the partition.
"Can't see the bride before the ceremony, now can I?" He said playfully and I laughed as I opened the rest of the bags and to my surprise, I even found matching white lace lingerie in there.
I quickly changed into the dress, struggling as I did so and put the heels on after admiring them first, obviously.
There was some make up and a mirror in another bag and I quickly brushed my hair, thanking myself for straightening it in the morning as the car started moving once again while I pinned it back and added the diamond flower pins I found in the bags.
I put on some eyeliner, blush and mascara along with a warm pink lipstick and took a few deep breaths to calm myself down.
Shit, I'm getting married.
I started to panic at the thought when the car stopped in front of a courthouse and I looked at it warily when Nico knocked on the partition.
"Are you ready my love?" He asked when I took a deep breath in.
"Y-yeah, I'm ready."
"Okay, Jake will come get you." He said and I replied with a small 'okay' as Nico got out of the car and I watched as he walked into the courthouse.
A few minutes later, there was a knock on my door and it opened, revealing Jake in a three piece navy blue tux.
"Is the bride ready?" He looked at me with a big grin when I gulped and nodded slowly, taking his outstretched hand as he helped me out.
"Is Nico in already?" I asked and saw him nod.
"Don't worry, only I know of this, no one else. And you look amazing, by the way." He reassured me and I nodded, taking his outstretched arm.
"Thanks." I smiled at him as we walked in together.
"Ah, are you the lovely couple getting married today?' A man in a black suit asked me and Jake who smirked, patting my arm.
"She wishes, but no. The groom is inside, I believe." He said and I chuckled, watching as the man in the suit suddenly grew pale.
"Y-you mean Mr. King?" He asked shakily and Jake nodded as the man swept his gaze over me.
"R-Right, of course, this way." He said and led us to two wooden double doors where Jake turned to me.
"Flowers." He handed me a bouquets of red roses and I smiled at him nervously.
"Thank you." I said taking in a shaky breath when he shook his head and turned me so I was facing him.
"Look, Dove, I know you're scared and nervous and all, but that man on the other side of this door loves you with every inch of his being. Trust me, I know, because I've known him my whole life and when I tell you he'll love you till his last breath, that's what he'll do." He said holding onto my shoulder and I nodded, feeling emotional.
In the spur of the moment, I flung my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. He was surprised at first but hugged me back nonetheless, chuckling lightly.
"Thanks Jake, it means a lot to hear you say that." I said sniffing as I pulled away and saw his smile.
"Of course. If there's anyone he deserves, it's you. You both are made for each other. It scares me a bit, to be honest, but its amazing how much he loves you. Now, are you ready for the most nerve wrecking day of your life?" He asked with a sly grin and I smiled wide, nodding.
"I am." I answered when he fist pumped the air.
"Then let's get married bitches!" He yelled and I laughed out loud as the doors opened, his words and my laughter echoing in the empty court room as we walked together, our arms linked.
When my eyes met Nico's, I felt my breath hitch at how amazing he looked in his three piece navy blue tux that matched Jake's, with a single red rose in his blazer pocket.
His hair was slicked back neatly, a light stubble framing his handsome face and sharp jawline, his midnight blue eyes shining with love and happiness as he took me in, his eyes raking over my figure.
"Your girl, Ace." Jake said as he put my hand in Nico's when he grinned, leaning towards me.
"And soon my wife." He whispered and I felt my cheeks redden when he chuckled and Jake took his place behind Nico.
"You look beautiful, my love. Words cannot simply describe you." He said huskily when I smiled.
"You look handsome too." I said and watched his grin widen before the priest cleared his throat.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony." The priest started and my eyes glossed over as I looked at the man in front of me, the man I'd come to love with everything inside of me.
"Nicholas Ace King, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honour her, to comfort her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?" The priest asked.
I looked at him when his lips tugged upwards into a breath taking smile when he spoke, wasting no time in answering.
"I do." He answered confidently and I felt my breath hitch momentarily as a tear rolled down my cheek, but his thumb immediately wiped it away.
"Dove Mae Winchester, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honour him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?" He asked and I looked in his eyes.
They were filled with so much warmth, so much love that I found myself drowning in deep.
And I never wanted to come out.
"I do." I breathed out and saw his smile widen, his own eyes glossing over as he took in a deep breath.
"Now, repeat your vows." The priest looked at Nico, who nodded.
"I, Nicholas Ace King, take you, Dove Mae Winchester, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." He finished with a shaky breath.
"I, Dove Mae Winchester, take you Nicholas Ace King, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." I finished and released a small breath of relief.
The priest asked for our rings when Jake handed them to us, watching as Nico held my left hand gently, letting the ring slide perfectly onto my fourth finger with slightly shaky hands.
"I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love." He said before I took his left hand, sliding the ring onto his fourth finger with shaky hands.
"I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love." I repeated when we were asked to join hands once again.
"By virtue of the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife." The priest said as the tears cascaded down my face freely while Nico chuckled, wiping them away with his thumbs.
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest said when Nico smirked, grabbing me by my waist and pulling me flush against him, he pressed his lips to mine in a sweet yet passionate kiss.
Pulling away, he rested his forehead against mine as he cradled my face in his hands, kissing my forehead softly.
"I love you so fucking much, my wife." He whispered when I smiled, pecking his cheek.
"And I love you, my husband." I whispered back when his gaze darkened and his grin grew wider.
"Thank fuck, I thought she'd run away or something the way she was shaking." Jake said dramatically from behind us and Nico rolled his eyes at him for ruining the moment.
"Ha ha, very funny." I rolled my eyes at him as he gave Nico a brief 'bro hug' and then hugged me too, but a very short one because Nico pushed him away.
"Jeez man, I'm not stealing your girlfrie- wife, sorry. Congratulations, both of you." He corrected himself with a grin when I blushed.
Nico was my husband now, we were actually fucking married.
"Now what?" I looked towards Nico who held onto my hand tightly and grinned.
"Now, we celebrate." He kissed the back of my ear and I shivered as Jake came towards us.
"This, is your courthouse wedding gift." He gave Nico a piece of paper which he opened and read with a frown.
"What's this?" He asked confused when Jake shrugged.
"You have two hours, and your time starts now. I'll take care of everything until then, enjoy!" He said and walked away whistling as I looked at Nico.
"What's he talking about?" I asked him when he smirked, leading me out of the courthouse and back to the car.
"He booked a room for us at one of my hotels." He said when my face flushed.
"F-for?" I asked and saw his mischievous smirk as he leaned towards me, caging me between himself and the car.
"To celebrate our wedding, of course." He said with a smirk, opening the door for me.
"After you, Mrs. King." He said smugly when I blushed, the name causing butterflies to erupt in m stomach.
"Thank you, Mr. King." I said smiling as I sat n the seat, buckling my seat beat before he got in and we drove off into the sunset, quite literally.
Oh fuck, I'm married.
