After school, I went straight to the park and laid in the itchy, dry grass and waited, hours slipped by and eventually he showed up

"I couldn't decide if I was going to come or not."

I scoffed with agitation

"Doesn't matter you have bigger issues."

He gazed around the park

"Funny this is where we meet again."

I put my phone in my pocket

"Sit down."

He kneeled next to me

"What's so urgent?"

I sighed as I rubbed my forehead

"She is using you too."

He grew angry and snapped

"No shit, you think I'm a game."

I looked down, frowning

"Not by me."

He scoffed

"Crystal? You're actually going to try to destroy this for me now?"

I scoffed with anger

"Destroy it? You never wanted it to begin with."

He shrugged his shoulder

"Yeah because I was into you and you had me convinced you were too, but no you're locking lips with Devon now."

I looked away

"Shows you were paying attention, but not enough, I broke up with him last night, I told him I didn't want to marry him."

He faked a laugh

"And why is that? Get tired of him too?"

I stood up

"You shouldn't have kissed me because it signified something to me then I'm sure you intended it to."

He stood up

"No it did because I fell in love with you but you only cared to get away from your crappy life."

I stayed quiet then said

"It wasn't just that because I fell too and my life was great until we met just so you know."

We stood quietly in the darkness without speaking, he finally said

"Let's get out of here."

I asked with growing anger

"So that's it?"

He smiled

"No let's run away, be together."

He held his hand out to me, I stood quietly; he walked to me and held me by my hips

"Please, I can't keep living by these rules without you."

He lightly rested his hand on the back of my neck and dragged my hair to one side. He spoke softly in my ear

"I'm in love with you Kayla."

Then he lightly kissed my neck, my whole body charged with shock waves. He stopped and kissed me, he picked me up into his arms and we kissed in the heart of the field of the park while the cold breeze touched our faces. The chilling cold sprinklers turned on and we stood in them without a single shiver. He paused and grinned

"Let's get out of town before anyone notices."

I smiled

"As long as I'm with you."

He put me down, we ran through the park through the dark woods to his car. We traveled for hours to the house, we made it the best road trip imaginable. It was a four-hour trip but with him, it appeared a lot shorter. We had the music blaring and windows down, the breeze blew my hair in my face; Connor laughed and teased me until I tied it up in a ponytail. We had to pull over several times just so Connor could kiss me. It was midnight when we arrived, when I got out of the car, he ran around the car and picked me up again

"I love you."

He kissed my cheek, I smiled; he smiled back

"I'm so happy to be here with you again."

I joked

"I can go back."

He bit his lip

"No because I won't allow you."

I laughed

"I love you too jerk."

He carried me inside and gently laid me on the sofa I laughed

"I have legs for a reason."

He laid over me and smirked

"I enjoy carrying you babe."

My heart stopped and I become speechless, he kissed me and asked

"Please be my girlfriend and wife someday."

I laughed

"I was convinced I already was."

He smiled

"You are so beautiful and perfect."

I smiled with flushed cheeks

"You are a flirt and a jerk."

He smirked

"Why are you so cruel?"

I smirked back

"We should get out of these clothes before we get sick."

He got up and grabbed some clothes from the room, I took off my wet clothes and waited for him to come back. He came in

"You want my shirt..."

His jaw dropped

"You... are... beautiful."

I snatched the shirt from him

"You have some drool."

I wiped his lip like he really did and smirked as I threw the shirt on. He looked away and pulled off his shirt, he had half sleeve tattoos and a nice body. I acted like I wasn't staring but who couldn't look at that. I asked

"Tattoos huh?"

He teased a little bit

"What? You don't like them?"

I laughed

"I didn't say that."

He threw on a shirt

"Who's drooling now?"

I rolled my eyes and answered sarcastically

"Yup all over the floor."

He grinned

"I love your sarcasm."

I sat on the couch

"Well when you have an overprotective dad you can't have too many heart breaks or lose confidence."

He sat down next to me

"I take it you haven't been able to date at all."

I shook my head

"Nope, I've only dated Devon for that short time and now you."

He looked at me shocked

"So you're saying I would've been your first date if Devon wasn't around?"

I smiled and chuckled

"Yeah. Why is that so shocking?"

He sat back

"So you've never... slept with someone."

I glanced at him and smirked

"Why are you surprised? I look at it as a normal thing not a competition."

He shook his head

"No not at all just thought... Honestly?"

I teased

"Do you wish to find out?"

He sat up quickly and stared at me excited

"Seriously?"

I laughed

"It was a joke... now I know what's on your mind."

He shook his head

"No it's not, well I mean after seeing you half naked maybe but no."

I stood up and stretched

"I'm exhausted, are you sleeping here or you could sleep with me?"

He stood up

"Whatever you prefer."

I smiled

"Sleep with me. Nothing will be wrong with that."

We laid down and ended up not sleeping, we talked all night and tormented each other.
