I got out of the car and walked to the gates, the guards had stopped me and checked me for weapons and tried to remove my ski mask but I didn't allow it. Connor and Joey had walked out from the house, the guards had my hands on my head. Connor ordered them to let me go, I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his neck

"I missed you so much."

Before he could ask questions, I put my finger to his lips

"Not right now. You'll find out soon enough."

I leaned in for a kiss then I kneed him in the stomach, threw my arms around his neck in a chokehold and back up. The guards and Joey pulled their guns on, Makayla and the other jumped out and ran at the them, Connor was stronger than me and managed to break free for a second until I jumped onto his back and grabbed his gun from his side where he kept it. I backed up and pointed it at him

"Let me explain everything now."

He shook his head

"What do you think you are doing Kayla?"

I kept my composer with both my hands on the gun

"You use to tell me to learn to fight without guns. Impressed?"

He slowly walked toward me, I placed my finger on the trigger

"I will pull it. Just listen to me."

More of the gang started running out of the house and guns were pointed from both sides

"Tell them to stand down before this becomes a murder scene."

Connor chuckled

"Put the gun down."

I shook my head

"No can do. When I have the girls I will."

Joey had his gun pointed at me while I had Connor's pointed at him; I heard the whistle that we were good to go. I did a backflip kicking Joey's gun out of his hand and made a run for the black SUV's; Connor picked it up and started shooting at the SUV's. Makayla and I jumped into my car and sped off behind the SUV with a couple of bullet holes. Makayla high fived me

"We did it! Did he figure out it was you?"

I laughed

"Would he have been shooting at me?"

We arrived at the hide out, Nathan was shot in the arm but he managed to get Zack when they raided the house but the girls were nowhere to be found. I asked Nathan

"Did you get them?"

He sighed

"The girls, no but I got Zack."

I got angry

"The girls were the ones you were supposed to get! He had to have known something from someone here!"

I drove back to the abandoned house to get Hope while Nathan and Johnny took Zack to the house, as we were driving back she had the nerve to say

"He knew someone was coming, Connor's not retarded ya know."

I tried to bit my tongue and ignore her but after a while I couldn't

"Really smartass? Because he fell for it."

She laughed

"Duh... he's not going to sit back and watch your plan work itself out, you were set up."

I pulled off the highway

"I suggest shutting your mouth, he had no idea we were coming unless you tipped him off."

She smirked

"I may have; I may not have."

I gripped my steering wheel trying to keep from killing her; I looked at her

"You are really asking to be killed."

She shrugged

"Its be your slave or die, I prefer to die."

I pulled a gun from under my seat

"Slow and painful or quick and easy? Decide fast I have somewhere to be."

She started panicking

"Kayla don't, just drive."

I dropped the gun back under the seat

"Don't test me then."

I pulled out onto the highway again and went back to the house; as we were pulling up the dirt driveway. Amelia ran out

"Kayla! We have a problem."

I got out of the car, pissed off

"What the hell happened?"

She frantically said

"They attacked the training warehouse, they must've followed you there."

I looked at Hope over the car

"You tipped them off? And I just began to think you wanted to a part of our group."

I grabbed the gun I dropped under the seat and gave it to Amelia

"Make it quick, we don't need a snitch."

I walked inside to talk to the others

"How bad is it? Did anyone get captured or killed?"

Miranda stood up from the couch

"Five were killed and 4 injured, we were able to get out."

I exhaled

"Catch anyone? Perhaps their leader, Connor?"

She started acting nervous

"He isn't... we couldn't capture him."

I picked up an empty beer bottle off the table and threw it at the wall shattering it

"What the fuck do we train for? This isn't some fucking game! He is the target we need, not these bullshit followers! Get your shit together! Bring me him and my children unharmed now!"

I flopped down on the couch and exhaled

"I have another plan; it might be dangerous but it's all I've got. We need them to not expect it so we wait it out from here on."

I stood up and went to the kitchen for a beer, Amelia came in with Zack

"What do you want me to do with him?"

I turned around, Zack looked shocked

"Kayla? I thought you..."

I cut him off

"Shut up, I speak first."

He looked at me with anger and betrayal

"Connor thinks you're dead."

I smirked

"Are you going to let me speak or do I need to put a bullet between your eyes."

He shut up and listened; I sat at the bar and drank my beer

"So are you with me or him? Decide now."

Zack asked

"What the hell? Why are you turning on Connor?"

I flicked the beer cap at him

"I didn't ask that or ask for questions."

Zack asked

"Are you... the new leader of the Diablos?"

I pulled the gun next to me and walked over to him holding it on his forehead and slowly asked again

"Are... you... in... or... out?"

Zack frantically said

"I'm in!"

I put the gun down and smiled

"Good choice, always knew you were loyal to Devon and my dad."

I untied him and helped him stand up

"Don't cross me, last person who did just got killed. Don't think I won't hesitate because you were Devon's friend."
