Transformation

Ahead of them, Cross and Adam were spectating the Mob Bots as they slowly changed form. Their propellers were shrinking until they were hidden within their body. After that, their fins also shrunk, however, they formed into a pair of what seemed like a pair of limbs.

Their transformations didn't stop with just that. The next moment, their bodies stretched long and straight like long tails.

While the two Mob Bots were in the process of transforming, Cross and Adam were watching them in silence. They didn't want to interrupt as it was a sight to behold.

"Bipes?" Cross repeated Adam's words.

"Oh~ Books aren't my best friend, so I'm bad at history."

Cross wondered if Adam was trying to console him.

Regardless, the Mob Bots that had turned into giant Bipes crawled down the tree. Looking at their body, the first thing that caught his eye was their length and form. They only have one pair of limbs each.

After stretching their body to the point their body becomes as thin as the tree branch he was perching on, their body also stretched longer to the point their measurements now were reaching 20 to 25 meters long based on his estimation.

Not only had their bodies changed, but their heads had also changed. Now their heads resembled the head of snakes.

Cross held his breath as he watched the shocking incident. He didn't know what these machines could do now that they had changed form.

However, despite the shocking nature of this incident, there was no expression of surprise on Cross's face. Maybe he already expected this to happen.

Actually, instead of being surprised he was amazed at the technology used in these machines. Whoever invented it deserves credit. If only possible.

The two Mob Bots that had transformed into giant Bipes had curled up around the tree. Their heads were down, almost kissing the ground.

However, before they could do anything, the muzzle that was in their mouths suddenly changed shape and became like a drill.

What happened next was as you could imagine. They sank to the ground as if they had just dove into the sea.

"Moles definitely."

Cross mumbled.

Suddenly, at that moment too, Cross and Adam felt a strong tremor as if something big was shaking the forest.

Couldn't those two Bipes Mob Bots be the cause of this? Cross asked in his mind. But he suddenly dismissed this idea because the tremor seemed to come from another part of the forest. The crash was loud enough to reach where he was currently. He couldn't figure out where it came from, but based on his feelings and the flying birds he saw, he could say that the source of the tremor was not far away. The birds flew towards the north and east, so Cross thought that the source of the disturbance could be in the south or the west.

There seems to be another incident not far from his hiding place, Cross thought. Probably, the other cadets were also attacked by the same thing, Cross believed.

Due to that sudden tremor Cross almost slipped which caused a little noise from him. The small branch he was holding suddenly broke. Good thing he was able to regain his balance quickly before he fell completely.

But, unexpectedly.

Adam shouted.

Suddenly the two Bipes earlier appeared behind him. Their eyes were staring at him as if he was their prey.

"Whore!" Cross exclaimed.

He slightly forgot about them because of the tremor just now.

Without warning, the two Bipes Mob Bots aimed to swallow him. Fortunately, he quickly jumped out of the tree and landed on the ground.

Guess so, Cross thought.

They seem to be smart. Cross couldn't help but be amazed. That slight noise he made was probably the cause that they found him.

The tree that had been eaten down was crushed like it was just like crunchy junk food to them.

"Anyway, Adam. Let's do it."

Adam can be seen lighting up.

Not far away, Cai and Noir were also attacked by other Bipes. It was the Mob Bot that was chasing Noir earlier.

A while ago, after it changed form, it quickly tracked down Noir's hiding place.

Meanwhile,

Its tail kicked the tree the two were standing on. The tree immediately broke and fell. Cai and Noir were lucky to jump to the nearby trees.

The two frowned. "It's become even more difficult to run now", said Noir irritably.

Cai looked around. They tried to run earlier, but it still caught up with them. What was the value of this sprinting activity if even running seems impossible?

"I know it. These things are dangerous." Noir couldn't hear what Cai was saying because it was too weak. Cai bit her lips. "Looks like we have to beat it to get out of it."

"De-defeat it?!" Noir screamed in shock. "Are you insane, huh? How can we do that?"

Cai Lyn shot a glare at her. "If you have a better plan, say it. We already tried to escape earlier but what happened? We were still followed. In the first place, who brought this monster here? Aren't you?"

"Tsk!" Noir gritted her teeth. She could not deny that it was her who lured this creature here. "But I didn't expect it to transform into that", she reasoned.

Noir shuddered again because the long tail kicked the tree she was standing on.

Fortunately, she quickly dodged. She landed on the tree where Cai was also.

"Anyway, I have a plan."

She heard Cai say that.

Noir took a deep breath. She was obviously tired.

"Say it", she replied to Cai.

"To the south from here, there is a falls. Let's take it there."

Noir glanced at Cai. She could eventually guess what she was planning. "Alright, let's do that", she agreed.

The two girls then lured the creature there.

Later that day, noon came on.

Officer Sander entered the headmaster's office. After sitting on the soft sofa, he expelled some air.

Headmaster Lalaine looked at him. "How's the training this morning?"

"Hmm… how should I say it… very unexpected I guess."

Headmaster Lalaine leaned her back. "Unexpected?" She asked.

"Well, so many unexpected things happened."

After saying that, he looked at the headmaster. "Anyway, headmaster. Who is that kid?"

The headmaster looked him straight in the eyes.
