A very hard mission

Adam appeared next to Cross right after Noir left.

"Yes, Adam."

Cross checked the time on his wristwatch and saw he had enough time. They have a 1-hour break for lunctime.

He still has 15 minutes before the class resumes. Just enough to scan the data.

Cross immediately took the Maxim Tablet out of the bag. Then gently lifted the frames that were stuck on the sides of the tablet. They were just frames and there was nothing in the middle. The device resembles a laptop but without its monitor screen and the upper frame.

Although you could not see a monitor in the middle, when you turn on the power, the inside edge of the frames will produce golden-orange neon lights which afterward formed a holographic screen along with a digital humming startup tone.
