Unrivaled

There were people around who were not part of the mission. They were here to give best wishes messages to the volunteers. Some of them were only for individual people specifically for someone close to them but most of them were for the whole group.

Everyone involved in this mission had friends and close relatives who may be left behind if their mission didn't go well.

But along with those good messages, there were also a few of them saying bad things, specifically to him.

"I heard that the freak is with this mission. Please just send him there and don't bring him back here."

Cross heard the familiar voice. When he turned to where he thought the voice was coming from, as expected he saw William with his friends.

What is this fool doing? Cross thought.

Upon hearing what William said, the others around became curious as well, especially those who had yet seen in person the infamous freak but already heard about him.
