Cross found himself inside what seemed like an underground tunnel.

A while ago, right after stepping inside the Helle District, a group of monsters suddenly attacked him without a warning.

A monster jumped high in the air to bodyslam him. If the monster's attack did land on him, he would surely die with all his bones, flesh, and innards getting crushed below it.

A chill ran down his spine at that moment. No matter what, he didn't want such a kind of death.

Along with a surprised utterance, he leaped to his side right on time. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the ground collapsed after the monster's attack didn't hit him and instead hit the ground.

It was only a big coincidence that there was a tunnel beneath it. In addition to its weight, the force of the monster's heavy crashing attack made the tunnel's braces below the ground break and fall apart.
