Missing

Three weeks into the term all the newbies started mingling and adapting to their new environment except, yeah, Alexander! I just don't know what's up with that boy. He's weird and creepy, too isolated and yes a little bit savage but i this inevitable care I feel for him drives me crazy, why do I care about him?!

It was break time and I just felt uneasy, I was struggling with the idea of going upstairs to check up on him.

 "Oh no, no, no, I can't do this" I murmured as I panted across the class, I was the only one there cause everyone had gone downstairs for break.

 "But i really want to know how he's doing. Aarrgghh, I'm going to so regret this" I fought my intrusive thoughts so bad but I lost the battle.

Yes I decided to go upstairs and check up on him even if it means talking to him, I'm willing to do that.

So i ascended the heavenly floor, the floor of all floors, the third floor, the senior floor. I was about to give up on the mission before Rotimi walked down to me.

 "I didn't call for you, why are you here?"he said with a tone that declared authority and it gave me an ick.

 " Do i need to get your approval before visiting someone else here? Or you have to call me before I can come to the senior floor?"

 "No but you only come here when I call you or you've been sent by a teacher"

"Yes i was sent"

 "By a teacher?"

 "No, by Simi, to get Something from Temi"

 "Okay"

 "Can i go now sir?" I asked with a raised eyebrow

 "Yeah sure".

As i walked past him, he grabbed my hand. I looked at the hand he held and I looked him in the eye, it had a different message, it was as if he was worried and the way he held my hand, tender and light, I felt chills ran through my body from the point he held my hand to my legs. I felt weak in the knees.

I cleared my throat and looked away, then he let go.

 "We've not been talking well these days I hope our friendship isn't dying" he asked sigh worry in his eyes. I could sense he was scared.

I cleared my throat again

"No, just that I've been feeling kinda off these days, I've not been in the mood to socialize but don't worry, our friendship is still intact" I said this with a smile on my face to make him feel better cause I couldn't understand the expression he carried on his face.

He sighed "Thank God I thought it was over" Rotimi took a sigh of relief.

 "Oh no, no no, we good"

 "Alright thank you"

Pointing up towards the first floor I said

"Can I go now?"

 "Sure, be freee" he said, trying to be playful as before. I just giggled and went up.

I felt bad for lying to him, but you know I wasn't literally lying cause I overheard Simi earlier on the class before break complaining about her missing sweater and she thought it might be with Temi.Lets just say I'm doing a good deed. I used it as my excuse so you see, I wasn't lying, Not as if I could tell him the genuine reason why I was going to the first floor, it would raise a lot of questions that I'm not prepared to answer.

 I was thinking so much that I didn't realise I passed SS3A and almost heading to the end of the floor. There were seniors outside and I realised they started staring so I pretended as if I came to check something and I headed back to SS3A. On getting to the class my eyes glanced around but I didn't find Alex on his seat!

I started to panic. I smacked my head cause why was I panicking?

 "Where could he be?" I whispered

 "Who?" a voice behind me said, i was startled.

 "Woah woah chill, did you see a ghost" Temi said and giggled

 "Don't ever do that again" I said with a hand on my chest

 "Sure, but who were you looking for?"

 "Uuuhhh, I was looking for you"

 "Me? Why?"

 "Simi said I should ask if she forgot her sweater at your place"

He walks to his seat and I follow him

"Maybe, I'll check later and tell her to come and pick it up after school"he said and sat down and I also did the same

 "Alright, I'll let our majesty know about it"

 "Yeah, but why didn't she come herself"

 "Uuhh, well, she was feeling lazy about climbing the stairs" 

 "Okay"

Think Hilda, think, think, think. You need to know about Alex's whereabout.

 "This seat isn't usually empty" I said while pointing to the seat beside his.

 "Yeah, that's Alex's seat"

 "Yeah, that's right, where is he now? Downstairs?"

He coughed lightly "No, he hasn't been around for about three days now I guess"

 "What?!" I exclaimed as I stood

Temi was startled by the way I reacted to what he said.

I cleared my throat "I meant why would somebody miss school for that long? It deserves a punishment" I said as I sat back slowly.

Temi had a confused expression on his face "I guess so"

 "Anyways Rotimi asked me to join him immediately I was done with my task here so, I'm gonna head out"

 "Yeah okay, see you later"

 "Byeeee" I said walking as fast as I could.

 Three days?! He hasn't been in school for three days. Is he okay? What stopped him from coming to school for three days? Is he sick? Yeah, he might be sick but for three long days, plus the weekend that's Five days!!!!

 "Hey are you okay?" Simi asked as she tapped My shoulder trying to bring me back to reality

 "Uuhh, yes I am" I said and nodded

 "Are you sure?"

 "Actually no, you know that new boy in SS3A?"

 "There are lots of new boys in SS3A be specific"

 "The most talked about? Alex?"

 "Yeah, what's up?"

 "He's not been in school for three days"

 "Wow! That's good"

 I raised an eyebrow "How is that good?"

 "At least he doesn't have to keep up with annoying teachers everyday" Simi giggled

"Why?" Simi added

 "Yeah but, is he okay?"

 "You could go ask him"

 I scoffed "Yeah right and how is that possible?"

 "I know where he stays"I just hissed at her statement cause there's no way She knew where he lives.

 "I'm being serious Hilda, i know where he stays"

My eyes widened "Really? Where?"

 "He doesn't stay far from your place about two streets after"

 "Really? This is good let's go and see him"

She tilted her head and raised an eyebrow

 "What?" I asked

 "You really want to visit somebody you don't know? And why would you do that anyway? You guys don't even talk"

 "Well, I don't know how to explain this, I'll tell you all about it when I know what I'm really feeling"

 "What you're feeling? Hilda, do you like him?"

 "What? Eww, no, I'm not, I don't... You know what, never mind"

 "Are you crushing on him?"

 "Stop, no, I don't crush or love and you know that"

" and you think I believe you? You're human Hilda of cause you'd love and crush but why are you going to see him?"

 "I'm not going to see him, I'm just going to check if he's okay"

 "No strings attached?" She asked raising an eyebrow

 "Simi"I gave her a stern look "Nothing is going on"

 "Okay oh, if you say so, after school abi?" she asked while stretching

 "No, lets go now, we can climb the fence" I said already annoyed. Simi just laughed and walked out the class

 "Imagine this girl oh" I said and laughed
