Turncoat - III

The torrent brings with it every possible ominous feeling.  The earth softened by continuously berating sheets of icy water and the skies continuously slashed by flashes of lightning seem to carry within them an uninterpreted missive of doom it heralded.

Seol cares very little for signs, earthly or otherwise, but she could not help but draw an unsettling parallel with another ride she had taken thousand lifetimes ago.

The mountains and hills are now replaced by wind cut boulders, their whispers of wind written over by the rumbling, grumbling sea. But the unease knotting at the pit of her stomach and the forbidding her heart sinks with remain the same.
