If anything, Daean's over eagerness to jump into a trial for dead Yun Ra had alerted them to the possible turmoil waiting at the city itself. Compared to the glory of its coast line, outer city of Silla looked rather bleak. Its markets were suffering from the turn of the season, as the fisheries and the port trade slowed down with winter storms and chilly mornings. The population in general looked unhappy and the imperial siblings could not ascertain if the unhappiness had anything to do with them or whether it was directed more towards their provincial lord.
