Waking up in the woods took me back… I got up from the ground and stretched my body and yawned. I walked up to the river bank and cleaned myself up a little and drank some water. I looked ahead and thought about what I had to do today. I got food and water on lock. Furthermore, I can fish for food but I might get bored by it real soon…
So I think I will explore the woods some more, looking for some small game. Berries and mushrooms should be my last resort, since I don't know what kind of things grow here. So having my thoughts aligned I started working on them.
I took my dagger and collected some wood first. I would use some as firewood, some to make a small fish trap and I would also make a spare spear just in case. So that's what I did… First I made a small fish trap, it was one of the easiest to make. You can make it with some small branches and use the grass to tie it. I made two traps and put the bait in them… I found some maggots in the trees and the ground. I placed them near the bank and put the rocks around to make a way for fish.
With the traps placed, I started kindling the long piece of tree branch. I sat in silence under the tree and kindled the branch into a spear. It was peaceful… I don't know the last time that I just sat down and just relaxed like this.
When I was Sebastian, my life was spent worrying and working every day… day in and day out, it was just work. After making my spear, I was ready to set out. I looked at the sky and I still had some daylight to burn. I drank some water from the river and set out to explore.

The forest wasn't like the one that I had ever experienced, the forest was mostly silent, there was only the sound of rustling leaves. As I was exploring the forest I saw a trail, the hooves were very large, I think it's a horse, but that doesn't quite make sense… regardless I followed the trail.
As I followed the trail, I heard a sound it was like a bleating of a goat, it was loud. I grabbed my spear and took cover near a bush. I looked from the bush and it was a giant white goat but it didn't quite look like a goat, its physiology was very similar to a horse. But it was a goat, its face was like a goat but it only had one horn and it was black and twisted. It was leisurely grazing on grass.
I was conflicted to hunt it, I wasn't sure that I would be able to take it down… if I had some better tools then maybe, but hunting it with just a spear would be hard. As I was thinking that, it stopped eating and looked up… he was looking in my direction… it took a step forward and I though 'fuck does it know?' I gripped my spear tight and had the other one at ready…
But then I heard a growl come from another direction… and from the woods came a towering bear. It had a brown fur and was about 7ft in length. It ran towards the goat and I sure that the goat would just run away from the fearing for his life, but that's not what happened. It let out a loud roar, it was like a war cry or something. It started to run towards the bear and it was fast, it reached the bear quickly and rammed his horn into the bear. It cut the bear in the leg. The goat took a few steps back and the bear got up and tried to claw the bear, but the got headbutted the bear and pierced the bear's throat. It went off like a fountain and the goat got blood spilled all over him.
The horn got stuck, and the bear started to squirm and tried to get out. The goat just did another headbutt and the horn came out, and the bear laid dead on the ground. The goat didn't just stop there, it kept hitting the dead bear with its horn… it was quite terrifying. I always knew that goats were jerks, but this guy is an asshole.
After getting a few more stabs in, the goat got away from the bear and just walked away… I waited for a few minutes before I made my way to the bear. I looked at the bear and its head was badly mangled. I took in deep breaths and though about how to carry this guy to my camp, my camp was about 4 km away from here.
I tried to pull the bear, but the thing was too heavy. I then tough to make a stretcher of sorts and then drag this guy to my camp. So that what I did. I tied my two spears together at one end and then rolled the bear on them, and then tied the bear with the leftover rope that I had. I looked at the sky and I think I would reach my camp in about 2 hours, it would be nighttime by them but I am not about to let this thing get away.
So I picked up the thing and started walking towards my camp.

I reached my camp a little before than I expected, I laid down the bear and sat underneath the tree. I took some time to catch my breath… thank god that Isak is strong, if it was just Sebastian. I would have collapsed in 1 km. After catching my breath, I worked on fire and then went to check up on the traps.
Fortunately, there were 5 fishes in total from both the traps. I took fish and gutted them and placed them near the fire over the stone. I then worked on the bear. I needed to drain the blood out… I think I still might be able to save it. I tied rope around his legs and threw them over a branch and pulled with all my strength. I somehow managed to hang the bear upside down and blood started to trickle down.
It looks like the goat did most of the job for me. I took out my dagger and made some more cuts and blood started coming out but it wasn't that much blood. I cleaned my dagger and myself. I went to the fire and warmed myself up and checked on the fish. They were cooked. I need to be careful, who knows what else lurks around in these woods… I took one fish and ate it.
