"Yes..." Jiwoo wiped his tears with his sleeve as spoke. "Well, it would be certainly hard for you to live a daily life without even knowing about the fact that there are others like you."

Jiwoo finally calmed down and put his hands on his lap. "That's right. Even my mom told me not to use my abilities, after finding about it. But when I was younger, I used it on accident."

"I'll never forget how my friends looked at me when they saw it. And the fact that they called me a monster too. That was when I started to hide my ability, until now. I even moved a lot to be less suspicious."

"I'm always scared of it, but I couldn't tell my mom, since I didn't what her to be worried. Do I have a disease? Did anyone find about me? And if people really found about me, will they kidnap and experiment on me?"

"But to find out that there were others, not just Kaiden, with other special abilities, made me tear up, and to learn that I am not sick, but have an awakened ability..." Jiwoo spoke.

I sighed with strange emotion, 'Jiwoo is so soft.' I thought. "I'm kinda relieved too." Kayden added. To which Jiwoo let out a smile and chuckle. 'He's cute alright.'

"Um, Vera, Kaiden, could you please teach me about the awakened?" Jiwoo asked. "People with special powers are called the awakened ability users or awakened for short. "

"We still don't know when these abilities started to appear or how they appeared on humans. Abilities can be related to the physical body, or your mental capabilities too."

"Some awakened have telekinesis, while others have destructive powers, others have power that could cause explosions... you name it. Awakeners have different and varying abilities."

I answered as Kayden looked at me with a baffled face. To which I winked at him for. "Wow! Awakened powers are those of superheroes in comics and movies!" Jiwoo's eyes twinkled as he spoke.

"I guess... depending on your ability you can do different things." Kayden added with a sweat drop. "But as I have observed, your core ability is moving at a high speed, but you might be able to do other things related to it."

"Your ability has improved over the years, right?" Kayden asked. "Uhuh. At first, I could only use my ability for one second a day, but now, I could use it 3 to 5 seconds a day."

"Only that?" I asked. "Well, I get it since he's been paranoid about hiding his ability. He's only used a couple of times here and there, I guess. And I understand since he wants to hide his ability but..."

"Do all awakened people train their power?" Jiwoo asked. "Of course. Who wouldn't want to have their power get stronger? They could do anything they want if it was." I answered.

"Really? I still kinda want to hide it though..." Jiwoo replied. "Well of course, you're a special case..." *Growl* Jiwoo rubbed the back of his head and explained. "I didn't have the opportunity to eat dinner so..."

"Just a sec." Jiwoo stood up and headed to the kitchen. "I'll bring something to eat." Kayden looked at him as Jiwoo picked a loaf of bread, Kayden's stomach grumbled suddenly.

Jiwoo looks back, while Kayden looks back in return only to see me, shivering. "HAHAHAHAHA–!" I burst out laughing, it was just so funny, "HAHAHAHA! Kayden... ha-ha... you forgot... ha... didn't you? Hahahahaha!"

Irk marks appeared on Kayden's face as he suddenly extended his claws and lunged at me. "Shut up!" Kayden exclaimed as he landed on me. I kept on cackling as Kayden was trying to keep me quiet.

And suddenly, and idea popped up in my head. "Hey Kayden..." I turned my head to look at him, he was on top of my back. "Do you realize what position you put us in? Or are you perhaps..."

I let out a seductive smirk, or at least I did my best to do so. "Hungry to eat me?" I spoke those four words slowly as he turned from yellow to orange, "Shut Up! Like I would want you!" Kayden shouted.

I continued to cackle at his actions as Jiwoo finally poured Kayden some cat food. "Kaiden needs to eat too. You didn't eat anything after all." Jiwoo spoke in a worrisome voice.

'Unbelievable. To think I have to eat cat food again.' Kaiden thought. "Hurry and dig in. I know it's cat food but force it down." Jiwoo encouraged him.

"Dude, cat food is awesome, hurry and discover the fact." I spoke as I stood up from the previous position Kayden pushed me into. Kayden sighed as he munched down on the cat food.

But all of a sudden, I felt a strange energy flood around the house. "Hey, Kayden. You feel it too, right?" I asked Kayden as I paid my focus on the ominous energy. 'The doctor is calling it back already huh?' I thought.

The pseudo-awakened cat's eyes burst open with pure red, as it instantly went bananas and raced all over the living room. Destroying and toppling a couple of things over.

Jiwoo was wondering what had happened, and I just sighed in expectation. Whilst Kayden on the other hand had a cringed expression on his face saying, "What the f*ck was wrong with it?"

"Vera, Kaiden, the cat ran away!" Jiwoo exclaimed. "No shit Sherlock." I muttered quietly as Kayden spoke. "I saw that, there's no way I could have missed that it want cray-cray."

Kayden scowled. "I can't believe it got up already, is it because of the energy?" I sat down. "Yes, probably. It would be too strange to be random. That energy must have controlled the cat."

Jiwoo stood up and put on his hat. "Huh? What are you doing." Kayden inquired. "I have to find it. It'll be bad if it attacked someone." Jiwoo answered. "What? You're going after it again?"

"The first time, it couldn't be helped. This time, you don't need to stick your nose into it again. Plus, that cat won't have the energy to transform into a monster again." Kayden reasoned.

"That'll mean that it will be easier to bring him back." Jiwoo refuted. "It's true that I'm worried about other people, but I am worried about him too! We can't let him hurt anyone."

"Kid, You are needlessly too sincere." I spoke. "But that is makes you a good person, so I'll help you this time." Kayden wrinkled his face for a moment, before speaking. "Tsk alright, I'll help too."

"Really?" Jiwoo smiled brightly, he was really happy, I guess. "Yeah, something's wrong with the cat. I also noticed am unpleasant energy outside. Don't think that I'm doing this for you. Got it?"

I let out a snicker, "You're such a huge tsundere, Kayden." I chuckled at his tsun-tsun like actions. Jiwoo took his coat. "Thank you, really. I'm just so... grateful both of you are coming with me."

"Stop yapping, I'll say it again, I'm not doing this for you." Kayden spoke. "Kid let's get on already. Just don't forget to feed me every day." I spoke. "I'll remember it!" Jiwoo replied happily.

We ran out the house and soon were going after the awakened cat. "Judging from the fight earlier, he has good speed and advanced movement patterns." Kayden briefed.

"And I am sure your super speed and related abilities have been developed enough as well." Kayden spoke. "What do you mean by related abilities? You said something about that too" Jiwoo asked.

I sighed at him. "Kid, to move fast, you need particularly good reflexes, cognitive abilities, dynamic vision etc. You should have physical abilities like that on top of your super speed." I answered.

"Yeah, it's common for an awakened to have multiple sub-abilities that are related to their core abilities." Kayden added. "Of course." Jiwoo agreed as I sped up to the left. "Go left."

I did a smooth drift with my claws as I sensed that Jiwoo followed nicely behind me. "Ohoh? Kid, how much longer can you maintain your super-speed?" I asked Jiwoo.

"I used it during the fight, so I think about 2 seconds left. I can use it multiple times if I use it in short bursts." Jiwoo replied. "Hm. 2 seconds..." Kayden muttered. "Where did the cat go now?" Jiwoo inquired.

"Just follow me." I answered. "How do you know?" Jiwoo asked. "I am an awakened, so I have an idea to where the cat went. Plus ain't I also a cat?" I answered him. Honestly, I just followed the ominous energy.

"If I am correct, it should be related to an awakened one. And I think that's where we'll find the cat." I added. "Awakened one? Like the people you two have mentioned?" Jiwoo, stop being a curious kitten.

"Yes, so you better get ready for this." Fortunately for me, Kayden answered for me. Time and time progressed further, and the cat had slowed down. And it was easier for us to follow.

The cat stepped into the alleyway with another presence in it. Using the power of my fluffy ears I listened. "Ah, it's you... You reacted to the imprint; you are the one!" The doctor exclaimed.

"What happened to you? You seem weaker somehow... you couldn't have broken out of my special cage..." The doctor spoke as the cat suddenly hissed at him. "Oho..."

"You're even more aggressive now. Did your imprint break during the experiment? And... the energy is getting stronger. Of course... you've awakened..." The doctor maniacally smiled.

I arrived first at the alleyway and saw the doctor smile evilly. And as Jiwoo was following just before me, he also saw the scene. "Kayden, there he is!" Jiwoo exclaimed and headed for the cat.
