Angry Aria

The training ground was as busy as usual with knights scattered everywhere sparring with each other. Princess Aria came into the vicinity looking for sir Leon. Her eyes had dark circles under them but she didn't care nor wash them to hide the fact that she had been crying. All she wanted for now was to unleash her anger on something or someone. That thought made her shudder for a while but that is what she wanted and she would definitely do it. Making her way to the armory, she picked up her sword and touched the blade to feel its edge.

Sir Leon was seated at the far end of the training ground, all the while looking at the princess. For some reason, he felt her behavior seemed abnormal. She was like a lioness trying to have some mercy on her prey but just simply couldn't help but feast on it.

Rising from his spot, he headed to the armory," you do,t seem yourself princess. Maybe you can come later when you feel better." Aria looked at Leon, determination registered on her face and Leon knew she could not give up. Instead, she picked a sword from the armory and handed it to him.

"I won,t go easy on you this time princess." He told her with the hope she would give up.

"Make sure not to, because I won,t go easy on you either." With that, she left Leon and went to the opening to spar with him. Leon breathed heavily and followed her. The knights stopped their sparring and gave room for the duo. Leon seemed quite unhappy and was not ready to fight. So Aria made the first move. Unsheathing her sword from her scabbard, she swung it around gracefully and attacked Leon.

Leon was caught off-guard by the sudden attack but managed to dodge it before some blood got spilled from his body. He breathed heavily and gave in. Unsheathing his sword, he attacked the princess but he held back. He didn,t want to hurt her anyways. But as determined as she was, Aria dodged his attack skillfully and gave him a scratch on his right hand.

Blood dripped from the edge of Aria,s sword, and worry washed over her angry face. Leon looked at his right hand and a smirk formed on his face. He liked this version of her though. He promised to not hold back this time.

Aria was about to drop her sword and check on Leon when she saw a sword coming her way. She acted quickly and blocked the attack while looking at Leon. He looked at her before breaking away," Never give your enemy the chance to recover. Always strike relentlessly until he is down."

Aria feared that Leon was angry at her and this time, he won,t hold back. She was determined to win this fight today. She took a quick look at his wood but Leon did not give her the privilege to. He swung his sword continuously at her giving her no chance to attack. Aria felt the force of his sword and she was going down with every strike. She lost grip of her sword and a blade was now pointed at her neck.

"Always be prepared for the unexpected. Keep your guard up and stay alert at all times. Trust your instincts and never let your guard down. Remember, the best defense is a strong offense. Train hard and always strive to improve your skills." Leon said looking at the knights around. He took one last look at the princess before he sheathed his sword. He turned around ready to leave.

Aria stared at her hands while still on the ground. She would not give Leon the satisfaction of seeing her defeated. She felt energy surge inside her body and she stood up holding her sword in a firm grip.

"Hey," she called to Leon stopping him in his tracks, "we are not finished yet." She held her sword in an attacking position ready to face him with all that she got. Leon smirked and turned around. But something was certainly off with the princess. A strong aura emanated from her and she looked like a goddess in the morning sunlight. She had closed her eyes and a grey vortex surrounded her body.

Leon inched closer to take a good look and see that he was not daydreaming. The knights who were laughing now fell silent awestruck by the scenery in front of them. Leon drew his sword and attacked her but was knocked by a powerful force that sent him flying a few meters high from where the princess was.

Throwing the debris off him, Leon stood up dusting his pants. But he was certain that the princess never made a move. Aria opened her eyes and blazing fire could be seen in them. Everyone in the training ground was astonished by her deathly look and some knights fled screaming.

Leon couldn't believe what he saw. He knew that the princess had been studying magic the previous days but he didn't know she had made such progress. The sight sent shivers down his spine as no hint of humanity could be seen in Aria,s worse. And to make the matters worse, she was looking at him with a deathly stare. She stretched her hand out and her sword was coated with fire immediately.

Then the worst happened. She flew mid-air and charged at Leon and then all went dark for both of them.

King Marcus and Blackwood were discussing matters about the wedding when a knight came in panting. The duo looked at the knight with a frown on their faces. "Speak up," King Marcus ordered.

"It is the princess my King. She performed a spell in the training ground and attacked sir Leon. They have both passed out."

The two lords looked at the knight disbelief written all over their faces. The knight left them and told them to head to the training ground and witness it themselves. They paced through the hallways and found Leon and Aria lying in the ground. Leon was covered in a pool of blood while Aria looked unhurt but her body looked pale and limp.

"Take them to the healer,s den now." The king ordered. Several knights carried them away leaving the ground clear."Clear this also." The king ordered pointing at the blood scattered around the place. Two knights swung into action and within a spun of minutes the order had been restored. But an urgent matter had now rose and it needed to be tended to. Aria,s fate must be decided.
