CHAPTER ONE
I watched them on the rear view of his room's window as they scrambled their way out of the house. It was more like they were been chased by something. They only moved in a week ago, a family of five, happy to be starting afresh in their new house, but now they were running out of the house looking scared out of their skins. I wasn't surprised, they were not the first, nor the second, nor the third family to scramble their way out of the house. They were actually the fifth family to live in the house. Although they seemed to be one though set of occupants almost breaking a new record of staying in the house for more than a week.
I kept a good record of each occupant and how long they stayed. The first occupants were not so though, cause they left two days after they bought the house and it was put up for the sale the following week. The house was bought by another family three days after. Amazing, how fast and often people patronized the house and end up not been able to live in it. The previous set of occupants before them were the toughest set of people to live in house, they stayed in the house for a week and seven days breaking the record of the longest staying occupants. This was of course at a great price, they lost their youngest son. Who was found dead and drowned in the pool a week and three days after they moved in, three days after the incident, they moved out.
I watched as the man who happens to be the father frantically struggled to get the keys into the car's key hole....The key dropped twice from his hands picking it up each time and kept struggling as his wife and two kids stood behind clutched around each other shaking in fear...."Hurry up Jason!!" His wife screamed at him."Am trying, this dam keys wouldn't just fit in" He replied as the keys fell from his hands again, it was more like the key hole grew smaller. This was something he would have done easily on a more different circumstance but now his head was just not focusing on anything than to run and get out of the house .He picked the key up again and this time he was able to successfully get the car started, he got in and started the car.
"Come on Lucy grab the kids and get in !!!" He yelled. She pulled the door to the back sit and hurled the kids in. she slammed the door and headed for the front sit, she opened the door and took a quick glance around she looked in my direction. Yes she spotted me staring at them from the comfort of my room's window, I flashed her a smile which she in return reciprocated with an horrified look on her face. I was gonna wave too, but she got into the car slammed the door and they drove off. what a shame I was only going to say hello .....

Sarah sat on her study desk with her ear-pods fixed tightly into her ears nodding to the music, trying to clear her mind, It's been over a month since her husband Morgan died and the memory still lingered fresh like it was yesterday. his presence still lingered in the house she would not be moving on soon if she remained in the house. She had started looking around for a new place to move and start afresh with her kids
she sat leaning over her laptop scrolling through the internet for a house she could buy, somewhere a bit remote and far away from all the chaos that had come with the tragic event. She suddenly stumbled over a house, it was a really huge house and the price was inviting...
"Wow isn't this my luck day" she said as she scribbled down the housing agents number and immediately placed a call over to them...
"Hello Oklahoma housing agency how may i be of help" came a very charming voice from the other end of the phone.
"Hi am Sarah Morgan and I saw one of your house online and I would like to make some more inquiries" she said and awaited the reply from the other end.
"Okay which of the houses please can I have the number and specific location" The lady on the other end asked."
It says here; honey land estate, block 225 close, Oklahoma." She read out the address leaning closer to her laptop. There was a long pause form the other end just after she read the address. ...."Hello are you there?" She had to ask to be sure the line hadn't been disconnected
."Yeah I....i just got a little distracted I'll direct you to an agent to show around the house" she replied sounding very uneasy
"Are you okay?"Sarah asked sensing the sudden change in her voice almost like she was tensed.....
"Yeah am fine, you will get a call from our housing agent you can direct all questions to him and he is going to show you around the house too and you decide if you really want it" she said and hung-up
"But...." the line was disconnected just before she could say anything else. "Strange...." she whispered to herself as she dropped the phone. 30 minutes after the call with the agency her phone rang and she hurriedly picked it up
"Hello am I speaking with Mrs Morgan" came a deep masculine voice from the other end of the phone a total opposite of the first voice she had earlier spoken with
"Yes, you must be the agent that's am suppose to talk to concerning the house up for sale at honey land estate, Oklahoma.
"Yes, am John Kiwi I'll be showing you around the house if you are interested in buying.
"Yes I am, just a little curious about the price want to make sure that's the actual price the house cost" she said tapping her fingers anxiously on the table praying she wasn't wrong about the price...
"Yes", just like it is on our website all our prices are legit" he replied.
"Okay that's great to know" she said
"So when will you be available to check out the house" he asked...
"Actually I don't have the time to do that just get it furnished we will be moving in next weekend"...she said.
"Oh so soon? Okay I'll have someone over to your place with some documents for you to fill and where to make to make payment, have your address emailed to us."
"Okay I'll do that right away, thank you" she said as she hung up the phone.........
