CHAPTER FIVE: HE WANTS ME!!

"I don't know why you are attending a human school" started Hunter.

Hunter was an elegant and handsome teenager according to the human world. He has beautiful dark brown hair with matching eyes. "And you have to burden me with the responsibility of taking you to school....why not Ralph" he complained

"stop that Hunter, stop blabbing. just drive me to school and don't complain". said raphahell.

Then, there was silence, so thick that even a visible knife could cut through.

"Hmm..Raph..so what about the dare about Leah bane?" Hunter asked.

"for some unknown reasons I can't talk to her" he said simply.

"if not, why not go for other girls. you know I have seen loads of beautiful girls in your school. You really need to cool off, you seem stressed" he paused then continued "Gosh!" he exclaimed.

" I just splash water on those girls. should we move away?" he asked as he hit the brakes.

"No. Leah is here" he said still with a serious expression.

"Yeah. this is a good opportunity to talk to her. You have charms Raph, use them well. No sane girl would not fall for you" he continued." just sit tight. I will take care of all these"

" you know, the reason why I chose you over Ralph is because of this special powers of yours" Raphahell complimented with a smirk at the side of his lips.

" oh my Gosh!" they heard a loud dream from outside

" who is that shouting?" said Hunter disgusted."Girls like that belong in the dungeon of peace"

"How dare you, bastard. Don't you see?" the voice continued.

"Gosh!" exclaimed Hunter." I really need to teach this girl a lesson and maybe make her a real bastard" he cursed.

Hunter opened the car door "Hey don't do anything stupid. Got it?" warned Raphahell.

Sigh....

" is it because you see us on the street then you think we are some kind of low-life?" said Debbie

"You guys should stop, it was a mistake " Leah tried to explain.

Hunter came down from the car. He was in his late 40's and was dressed in a driver's uniform.

" I'm so sorry girls, I was over speeding" he apologized. " I'm sure you are all heading to school, hop in, I will take you for a ride" he offered.

" thanks" Leah thanked and they entered the back seat.

"Hey you!" Hunter called out to Aurora before she entered the car

" what!" she answered almost shouting.

" Go to the passenger seat. some..." before he could even complete his statement, she cut him short.

" just shut up. You are just a driver so do your job and don't tell me what to do. I don't know why Leah is too kind to just let THESE go. like, take a good look at me!" she rolled her eyes at him and entered the back seat with the girls.

" such arrogant and disrespectful girl. You would pay for what you just said to me, AURORA." he hissed and entered the car.

" sir, I am sorry I had to let them in. You know, it was my mistake" said Hunter just to go with the flow

" mister, there is no one here" said Debbie confused

'what!" He looked just to be sure and Raphahell was gone!

'Gosh! such a fool!. why have Raph changed so much. she's just a girl not a female and he's shy?. I don't think so, how can the Devil be shy just to have fun with a girl?'

It was a very nice ride, we talked and jambed along the ride and Hunter was great, he told us stories about his hot tempered and grumpy boss. Finally, we reached school and bade him good bye.

We all entered the hallway and for some reasons I started growing goosebumps.

"so Leah, are u ready to talk to Mike?" Debbie asked.

"Hmm.." what should I say?...what could I say?. Am I ready?. Do I have the courage to talk to him?

" just calm down Leah" advised Aurora." I know, it's not easy. I was once in your shoes. it happened with Allison, she is my first. it was not easy to talk to her and to be sincere I just didn't, I couldn't. But at last she....she kinda came to me. maybe Mike would come to you that's if you guys are destined to be together" she said.

"Thanks Aurora. Meet you guys later" we said our goodbyes and went to different classes. I actually sighted Nelly with Amy in class, maybe they're now friends. it hurt me a little but...like I care....

I don't know why but today seem to be moving very fast. Like It's already recess. we all met in the cafeteria.

"Do you really want to talk to mike, Leah?" Debbie asked.

"What kind of question is that?...of course I do..I really do" I answered looking desperate.

"Bit you promised. You said today would be your last day apart. so go ahead" she said

I haven't actually seen him since morning, maybe he didn't come to school today. I felt relieved and worried at the same time. Relieved that I won't be forced to talk to him and worried about why he would miss school. is he okay??

" I don't seem to see him anywhere, maybe...." I tried explaining but was cut short.

" He came. look" Aurora pointed to the 'rich kids table', like a VIP section in a club. that is where the popular, rich and beautiful kids sit for lunch and the best of foods are served to them while we get stale and leftovers.

I saw Amy as usual, her pons and Nelly giggling and chatting away. I miss her so much, how wish she didn't leave in the first place. And lastly Mike who had a straight face looking as handsome as ever staring at the window ignoring what the others were saying.

I was just staring at him endlessly especially those lips of his, my wish is that those lips would be my first.

Suddenly a smirk appeared at the side of his lips, I don't know why but I felt he read my mind then he stared at me. like right now we we're staring at each other. Gosh!. it was intense.

I could see something in those eyes. I can't explain it but it wasn't love or hatred nor even likeness or malice, I just couldn't make up what I am seeing. it was like want and cravenness, like he wanted something...like he wanted ME!. when I noticed I was obviously staring at him, I looked away.

" Gosh Leah. I think he likes you. Didn't you see his eyes?. Go for it, Leah." said Debbie.

" He doesn't....He wants me."I simply said

WHAT AM I EVEN SAYING?!

HE WANTS ME?!

" He wants you?" they both repeated. I looked back at him, not his eyes or his lips but his neck....it was the same necklace that was in Hunter's car earlier. what is it doing on Mike?. something must be off.

I have always watched paranormal and werewolf's documentaries and like in the movies, Mike is a werewolf or a strange beast who teleports. when he saw us, he teleported away leaving his necklace in the car. Gosh!. how is that even possible?, those things don't even exists.

Recess is over and after sometime it's the late subject, wood tech.

" I am so disappointed in you Leah" started Debbie. " you still couldn't talk to him"

" I don't know why but I have a feeling that today won't pass me by, I just know." I answered.

" there would be a project on this topics and you all would have a teammate" I would really love it if Mike was my teammate." so we have Maxwell and Lucan" he started. "Allison and Aurora, Sammy and Debbie" why!!. I could see the disgust on her face. "And finally Mike and..oops. it's like we have a tiny problem here. there is Amy, Mike and Leah left but we need two. Mike please choose between Amy and Leah to be your mate. the person who is not chosen would join Sammy and Debbie." Mr. Henry said.

Why Amy?. why would he put up Amy against me? I would surely lose to her.

Before I could even think further I heard him say

"Leah Bane" he said simply.

I don't know what to think right now. should I be happy because my promise to my friends won't be broken and I have gotten what I always wanted or be worried and confused that he pick me....a nobody...over Amy his own girlfriend. I could feel sharp eyes on me almost passing into my heart, it was Amy. she looked at me in such a way that she could kill me right now if she wanted to, like I did anything...
