"What do you mean she is lying, why would she be lying," I asked taken aback by his statement. It was absurd to think she would have a reason to lie.

"She isn't incapable of not lying" he stated, in shut my mouth. Well, that was also true but… looking back at where she sat with the others talking in a cheery voice. She would never do that. I wasn't one to believe anyone so easily but I also wanted to believe that the earlier suspicious behaviour was nothing more than a nervous tic after being captured by humans.

Yes, it was nothing more than that, I looked back at him.

"Your job was to help me retrieve the kids and anything else should be left for me to decide on my own. I don't think she's lying, maybe something happened and she can't tell us but that's for her to decide." I said assuring myself it was nothing.
