20. Roommates

On getting to the high level dorm area, Mariel went into the building and went up the elevator. As he came out of the elevator he saw a boy with blue hair and light blue eyes walking towards him. They both stopped as they were in front of the dorm room. Mariel thought that the boy wanted him to move so he went for the handle of the door, coincidentally, the boy also reached for the handle.

"What are you doing?" Mariel asked as he didn't understand this boys motive. "I should be asking you the same question" the boy was annoyed. "I'm Mariel Chen...this is my dorm" he said as he pulled out the golden card in his storage ring with the number '59'. "Well then, I'm Kennard willson and this is also my dorm" the boy replied.

"Then prove it" he boy then brought out a golden card and the number '59' was on it.

"Huh...so we're roommates" the boy said in a sad tone. "Let's just go in I need rest" Mariel said as he opened the door only to see a grey haired boy with green eyes in only briefs looking back at them. "Huh..." Mariel furrowed his brows. "aaaah.." the boy shouted as he covered his chest area with his arms. "Who are you guys and what are you doing here?" the boy asked. Mariel couldn't even talk..(What)..{You can feel it oo right} Levi said

(Yeah). This grey haired boy was brown skinned, he had six pack abs and his grey hair added to his handsomeness.

Also, the smell of oranges emnating from his body. "I'm Kennard willson" Kennard was the first to say as he walked forward a little. Mariel followed. "I'm Mariel Chen, this is our dorm, what are you doing here?" Mariel asked as he began doubting the school's security. "This is my dorm too, guess you guys are my new roommates" the grey haired boy said. Mariel was more interested in his aura that was...wild. The grey haired boy's face turned serious all of a sudden, he removed his arms from his chest and walked inside the room. Mariel and Kennard was confused by his behavior. The boy later came out with a pack of cards, he brought out two and with speed, threw it towards Mariel. Mariel activated his Phoenix eyes, but he reduced the intensity so that they wouldn't glow.

(It's almost at the speed of a bullet). Mariel avoided the first card and caught the second one between his fingers. When he turned, the boy's right leg was heading for Kennard. He immediately raised his own leg, cancelling the attack, the shockwave from the attack pushed a lot of things in the place. The grey haired boy then jumped backwards.

{This grey is only at the fifth level spirit mage, hmph, he doesn't stand a chance}

(But the strength of the kick is at the peak of spirit mage) Mariel looked at him. The air around them suddenly turned cold, a tense and raging aura emitted from kennard's body. Mariel barely even felt the pressure. But the grey haired boy is surely feeling it.

"Hahahah..oops..My bad" the boy suddenly started laughing as he rubbed the back of his head. "If I told you guys it was a joke would you believe me?" the boy smiled, opening his incomplete set of teeth. Mariel counted the boy's teeth. "You call that a joke?" Kennard was already boiling within anger.

"If I hadn't dodged those cards either I would've been dead meat by now or hurt pretty bad" Mariel wasn't pleased either.

"Woah, woah, relax, I know you would, but your speed, don't you think it's a little bit inhuman?" the grey haired boy said back. Mariel didn't reply.

(He knows something)

{He definitely knows something}

"Well, don't you think the speed at which you threw those cards at me was inhuman?" Mariel bounced the question. "Don't you think your speed and strength was inhuman?, you come in here attacking people, is that how you do things" Kennard argued back.

"Well, anyway I'm really sorry. My name is Darus Demonus, but you can call me DD"

(Changing the subject huh, smart, but I'll still catch you).

Mariel was about to leave when the door opened. He immediately stood in a combat position.

(You got to be kidding me. I'll complain about security when I have the time)

A black haired man with a scar on his eye entered their dorm. "Sorry for intruding boys, just thought I felt an unaccepted presence here" the man then scanned the room and the scattered place, seems ordinary.

"I'm sorry, I'm gonna go" he said as he turned to leave. "Sir wait, who are you?" Darus asked in a soft tone. "Oh, my bad, I'm the secretary of the Chancellor of this school. I'm also a servant of the ice emperor"

(Ice emperor, I don't know who he is but the emperor title is given to powerful people)

"Wait!, you mean the strongest ice wielder?" Mariel asked because of the title. "Yes" he answered. Mariel was afraid as he remembered that spear. "You mean...the one who singlehandedly tamed an ice dragon?" Kennard asked his own. "Yes, by the way my name is Stephen Bitrus"

"Whoah!" Darus exclaimed.

"Well, I have high hopes for you guys, try to get along and get stronger ok?" the man then left and closed the door.

(Hmph...he even left as he wants. I thought the security was tight).

"I'm really sorry for the inconvenience guys, but you can call me dee, I'll call you both Ken and Chen. I hope we can be good roommates" Darus then smiled.

"tsk.." Mariel just clicked his tongue as he ignored Darus and went to his room. After this day of work, he needed his rest.
