Eps 16 : Craving for Him

Jung Yeon-Hee couldn't help but wince as she held back the daesu—the crown worn by the Queen or Crown Princess during a wedding or coronation—that had been placed on her head since this morning. Currently, in the courtyard of the pavilion where she lived, a ceremony was being held for her husband, King Yeongan.

From the room where she was waiting, she could faintly hear King Yeongan's wedding rituals, culminating in the pickup procession. The two palace maids who had been waiting at the door of the room slowly entered and bowed respectfully to Yeon-Hee. The two of them now start helping Yeon-Hee to get out and immediately get on a stretcher to the place where her wedding is being held.

For a moment, Yeon-Hee was again stunned by the handsomeness of her husband—King Yeongan—in his wedding robe. Even though the beads from the crown she was wearing prevented Yeon-Hee's vision of King Yeongan's face from being blocked, Yeon-Hee couldn't avoid the charm and aura that radiated from her husband.

Just before entering the stretcher, Yeon-Hee stole a glance at King Yeongan, who was standing beside the stretcher to help her enter. And for some reason, her heart raced while her cheeks flushed red at the memory of their meeting a few days ago at the Hwol-gak pavilion. Yeon-Hee recalled King Yeongan stealing her first kiss.

Realizing that he was being watched, Yi Baek turned his gaze to Yeon-Hee. Yi Baek who suddenly looked back at her, made his wife hastily dodge and enter the stretcher.

Yi Baek snorted at his wife's shy behavior. Yi Baek then rushed into his own palanquin. Really, the man was getting tired of this series of wedding ceremonies. The whole process was tiring and tedious.

For Yi Baek, this wedding ceremony is just one of many things that feel like a waste of time. Even so, Yi Baek must resist this series if he does not want to be remembered as the king who refused the wedding ceremony. Thus, Yi Baek chose to restrain himself and follow all the wedding events. After all, at the end of this show, he'll have a new toy, right?

...

Yi Baek glanced at his new queen, who was struggling to contain her sleep. Yi Baek chuckled at Yeon-Hee's effort not to close her eyes. Right now they were in a room, having just finished the last procession of their series of wedding ceremonies, the wedding banquet.

After enjoying a series of banquets, the two were now left alone in the room. A small table serving wedding rice wine became the barrier between Yi Baek and Yeon-Hee at this time.

Yi Baek took another sip of his rice wine. His eyes staring at the feminine figure in front of him. The dark beads moved to pay attention to every curve carved in Yeon-Hee's face. Until then, his handsome face flashed a lopsided smile. Yi Baek seems to like his new toy.

"You have a pretty pretty face, if I noticed," said Yi Baek, breaking the silence between them.

"Pardon?"

Yeon-Hee snapped out of her drowsiness when she heard Yi Baek's voice fill the room. Slowly, Yeon-Hee lifted her face and looked confusedly at Yi Baek. Yeon-Hee hopes that Yi Baek will repeat what he said because he was dozing off earlier.

"Besides being beautiful, you seem to be a rebel, huh?" Yi Baek took another sip of wine from his cup.

"Please forgive me, Your Majesty. I didn't mean to ignore you like that."

"Are you tired after our series of wedding ceremonies, My Queen?"

Yeon-Hee shook her head. "I don't mind at all, Your Majesty...."

Yi Baek's long sigh interrupted Yeon-Hee's words, causing the woman to only stare at the floor. Yi Baek moved the small table that bounded him and Yeon-Hee to the side. The man didn't make a sound but instead got up from his seat.

Yeon-Hee gasped at the sight of Yi Baek, who seemed to be about to leave her. When she became an ordinary noble girl, Yeon-Hee had indeed heard or read several stories. The story of a woman who is left alone on her wedding night and realizing Yi Baek's movement was about to leave their bridal chamber, of course, made Yeon-Hee anxious.

"Y-Your Majesty...."

Yeon-Hee's doubtful voice sounded in the room. Meanwhile, his eyes subconsciously shone with hope at Yi Baek's figure. Yi Baek, who was still wearing his dark wedding robes, turned around and sneered inwardly to find a request flashing across Yeon-Hee's eyes. As if he could read Yeon-Hee's attitude, Yi Baek seemed to know what Yeon-Hee was about to say. So, Yi Baek just kept quiet and stared straight at Yeon-Hee, challenging the feminine figure to voice her wish through his dark eyes.

"Please don't leave this room, Your Majesty. I'm not sure I can make it through tomorrow if word gets out about you leaving me on the wedding night," Yeon-Hee said in a trembling voice.

Yi Baek snorted and turned toward the exit. The man opened the door and gave an order to the ladies-in-waiting and the eunuch at the entrance to leave him alone with Yeon-Hee. What Yi Baek did made Yeon-Hee's heart beat faster. Yeon-Hee could feel her palms getting cold with anxiety.

Yi Baek returned to face Yeon-Hee after completing his orders. His crooked smile clearly framed his dark aura. For some reason, that smile made Yi Baek look both handsome and scary at the same time. And Jung Yeon-Hee could only stiffly absorb Yi Baek's deadly charm.

"You have to pay a very large amount for the request you made of me, Queen," Yi Baek hissed, who was already right in front of Yeon-Hee.

"Y-Your Majesty, I didn't mean to make a wish. I..."

"You're clearly making a wish, My Queen," snapped Yi Baek, who was now staring intently at Yeon-Hee, even tilting his head and moving his lips closer to Yeon-Hee's ear.

"There is a price to pay when you make a wish for me," Yi Baek whispered in a tone that would make anyone tremble at the sound.

Yeon-Hee stiffened on the spot upon hearing those words. Yeon-Hee could only respond to those words by looking at Yi Baek. Yeon-Hee's head subconsciously shook, as if rejecting whatever Yi Baek was about to do to her.

"And you don't have the power to refuse it, Jung Yeon-Hee," replied Yi Baek, who was now starting to pull Yeon-Hee's body into his arms.

...

Yeon-Hee couldn't help but surrender when Yi Baek pulled her into a hug. Without a word, Yi Baek landed a kiss as light as cotton on her plump lips. He kisses several times before finally crushing Yeon-Hee and trapping her in Yi Baek's vicious trap.

Not stopping at her lips, Yi Baek also explored Yeon-Hee's skin, which his masculine lips could still touch. Yi Baek snares her and doesn't let Yeon-Hee think clearly about what she's doing, so she doesn't realize that her wedding robe has been ripped from her. leaving a cloth covering that is still wrapped around the chest and a thin skirt that covers the lower part of her body.

Her shoulders were clearly exposed under Yi Baek's body. Yi Baek's eyes flashed sharply at Yeon-Hee's skin, which his eyes had not seen. The moonlight that came into the room made the skin glow, demanding attention. And Yi Baek wouldn't miss the chance to dive into that skin with his lips and palms.

Yeon-Hee was misled by the mist of passion that had somehow begun to rise, filling and clouding her clear mind. Her voice caught on her throat as she felt something warm and soft exploring herneck and shoulders. Slowly, Yeon-Hee closed her eyelids, unable to bear what she was feeling, until a breath escaped her lips.

"Huh..."

Yi Baek stopped his exploration and glanced at Yeon-Hee's face. Yi Baek has to admit that her queen's expression is quite mesmerizing. That gentle yet feminine expression is able to bring out a triumphant smile in Yi Baek's face. Yi Baek enjoyed the game he had started. A smirk slowly rose to his face.

Yi Baek's constant touch on her, which was really intoxicating, made Yeon-Hee subconsciously yearn for Yi Baek. Let's say Yeon-Hee is crazy about everything Yi Baek did to her. But this was the first time Yeon-Hee felt this kind of turmoil inside her. A strange turmoil that is able to make him want a figure who is tasting him little by little.

Yeon-Hee couldn't resist the urge once more.Yi Baek only played around her neck and chest, but the pops that Yeon-Hee felt were really unstoppable. The woman's consciousness was completely shrouded in the mist called passion. Yeon-Hee moved restlessly, feeling the cold air brushing against the skin of her chest. Apparently, the chest bandage had been removed, allowing Yi Baek more freedom to explore Yeon-Hee's pale skin.

"Your Majesty..."

Yeon-Hee subconsciously mentioned the figure that was above her body. Really, Yeon-Hee couldn't defend herself from Yi Baek's touch. Meanwhile, Yi Baek stops his activities after hearing Yeon-Hee's call.

Yi Baek kept a close eye on Yeon-Hee, who was lying beneath with her chest exposed with no protection.Yi Baek smiled smugly to see Yeon-Hee completely fall into his trap. Slowly, Yi Baek moved away from Yeon-Hee's body. His dark eyes looked at Yeon-Hee, who was catching her breath under his gaze.

"I'll tell you a few things about the game we're going to do, My Queen," Yi Baek whispered right in Yeon-Hee's ear. A few light kisses landed the man on the skin around Yeon-Hee's ear.

"One... don't count on me.""If you expect me, you will be disappointed," he hissed, gently rubbing Yeon-Hee's upper body.

Yeon-Hee gasped and opened her eyes. Her hazel irises then caught a strange glint in Yi Baek's eyes. And for some reason, the lightning was able to issue a wound in Yeon-Hee's heart.

"Since you have dared to desire me, then you must prepare yourself with regrets. Your game has just begun, my queen. Don't ever expect me to touch or even taste your body. Because when that happens, you will end up disappointed."

After saying that, Yi Baek got up and fixed his wedding robe, which was slightly wrinkled by Yeon-Hee. The grin returned to his face. Without caring if Yeon-Hee was in the mist of passion sprinkled by him, Yi Baek stepped away from Yeon-Hee.

Instantly, tears dripped from the corners of Yeon-Hee's eyes. Pain washed over everything that had blinded him. Yi Baek had just insulted Yeon-Hee, so she bit her lip and clenched her hands tightly.
