ONE LAST TIME

Rebekah's pov:

I slowly open my sleepy eyes. Alina and Cari are not here.

"They must have woken up early" I get up and head out of the room to look for them.

"Happy birthday!" they all shout as I enter the lounge area. I gasp in shock and happiness.

"Oh guys…"

Jordan is here too, standing next to Liam.

"Happy birthday, Harmony," Cari runs to hug me, while Alina walks to me.

"Oh, you guys... I didn't even remember" I say. Cari let's go of me and stands on my right. Alina hugs me.

"We're sorry you have to celebrate your birthday like this" she says.

"It's okay."

She lets go and stands beside me with her hand on my left shoulder.

"I checked at your house and your mom is home today," Jordan informs.

"What about school?" I concern.

"Don't worry about it," Jordan replies.

"Besides, you will go to Elphia anyway," Alina says

I exhale to relax myself, "I can't believe this is happening."

"We'll be with you every step of the way," Liam assures.

"Come on, go take a shower," Cari urges, "I have a nice outfit waiting for you."

I smile with excitement, "really?"

"Maybe Liam could join you," Jordan says, and we all look at him.

"What?" he asks, seeing absolutely nothing wrong with he said.

Cari puts her palm on her face, "you are something else."

This is so awkward. I quickly make my way out before things get more awkward between me and Liam. I head straight down the corridor. Opposite the bedrooms is a bathroom. I get in, remove my clothes and rush in the shower.

I finish my shower and get out.

I stare at the towels hanging on the books on the wall wondering which one I should use. Then I hear knocking on door.

"There's someone," I inform.

"Hey, it's Cari I brought you your towel," she says

"oh" I slightly open the door and she hands me the towel.

"Thank you," I smile.

"No problem."

I close the door and wrap the towel around me, then I walk into Alina's room. I gasp with happiness. The beautiful floral dress laying on the bed with beautifully designed heels is breathtaking.

Liam's point of view:

I'm seated on the couch facing the television on the wall, reading some sports car magazines with my brother. While the girls are on the other couch talking about something, softly.

How weird it sounds saying: my brother, those words sound so foreign on my tongue.

I know it's not easy for her to do this, leaving everything she loves and knows.

The sound of footsteps get closer and closer, and captures our attention. I slowly lift my head to black heels, a light-blue dress starting from her knees and ends in light-pink and one shoulder with sleeves shaped like a long mermaid at the back, and short infront. A beautiful, glittery ombre dress on a stunning body.

Harmony.

The way she walks in those heels it's like she's moving to a beat, the rhythm in her hips makes me want to grab her in my arms, tell her my deepest feelings for her and kiss her like she's the best meal I've ever had.

"Aww, Harmony you look amazing, "Cari compliments and walks up to her.

Alina looks at Jordan with a smile, "What do you think, Jordan?" she looks at me, " Liam?"

"Uh…she looks beautiful," Jordan smiles

"Stunning, as always," I admire her beauty

"Aww, you're going to make me cry," she says and the girls laugh.

"I told you Alina that pink heels would look better," Cari says

"Yeah, I guess you were right," Alina acknowledges. A light-blue light shoots from Cari's hands to the shoes and they turn light-pink, matching the top of the dress.

"Are you ready?" Alina asks Harmony as Cari fixes Harmony's perfectly tied up ponytail, and two sections of hair hanging down her forehead.

"I think...I don't know," she responds with uncertainty.

"It will be okay," Cari assures her with a confident smile.

"Okay girls, don't make us emotional too, we're warriors," Jordan says and I laugh slightly punching his shoulder.

He touch his shoulder with his right hand "ouch" he laughs and looks at me.

"It's good to have you back brother," I say

"It's good to be back" Jordan smiles

"Okay, now you boys are going to make us cry and ruin our makeup," Alina says

"Then we will have to go and do it again" Cari concludes.

Jordan and I storm up from the couch, "No!"

All the girl laugh. We are not ready to wait another decade here.

Cari looks at Harmony, "why didn't you put on make up?"

"I…"

"No, we have to do this. It's time to let go of the past, and time to have fun and enjoy being a woman." She grabs her out of the room.

"Oh no, not again." I throw myself on the couch. "Wait, let go of what past?"

Bexy's point of view:

When Liam left for the human world, school became boring, so I am back home for a while, flying on my horse outside. A carriage in front flies lands on our big dark green grass yard. It's dad, he just came back from the castle—he's the king's advisor. I fly down over to his car, I'm really eager to know what they talked about and when Liam is coming back.

"Dad!" I climb off the horse as he climbs down.

He grins "Uh…my daughter,"

"How did the meeting with the king go?"

"Well, It looks like Liam is coming back sooner than we thought," he says in Meldish.

I excitedly clap my hands, "really!?"

"Yes,"

I put my hands together on my chin, grinning at his response, "ye…s."

"I think you should go back to Elphia now, maybe you can welcome him home when he arrives later on, hopefully"

"Today!?" I amazedly look at my dad with extreme happiness.

"Go and pack I'll organize a limo for you"

"Esis," I acknowledge in Meldish and hug him

"My pleasure,"

I run on inside our huge mansion.

Harmony's point of view:

I'm in the passenger seat with Liam driving on my side, thinking about how I am going to start the hardest conversation of my life.

"Hey," Liam says and I look at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," I look forward. "Kind of."

"I'm sorry you have to go through this princess, I wish I could make it a little easier for you"

"It's okay, Liam." I look at him with a smile

"You have always acted brave," he says

"I am brave," I claim.

He chuckles, "really?"

"Yep." I look at him, "like you,"

"Hey, are we almost there?" Cari asks from the back next to Alina.

"Yes," Liam responds.

Mrs. Stevenson's point of view :

Last night I could barely sleep. I barely even ate. My heart pains with worry for my beautiful Rebekah.I don't want to lose her like I lost Emma. I take a sit on the couch.

She's all I have. I break down in tears "oh my dear Rebekah."

The police can't do much since she's already an adult. I tried.

As I'm having my moment to cry my worries away. Knocks sound on the door, and I rush to open.

"Rebekah!" I wrap her in a hug, "oh, Rebekah..."

"Mom," she says. It's almost as if she's not happy to see me, I guess I would understand, her voice sounds sad.

I end the hug and look at her face again then I bring my focus to the people behind her.

"Who is that?" I ask

"it's sera, Seth and Micah," she says

"I know them, but who is he ?" I ask

"Mom come on, it's Jordan, remember?" she says

Harmony's point of view:

"I don't remember him," she says.

I turn to them and give way for her to see him properly, "Mom, it's Jord-"

"It's okay, Harmony," Cari interjects, " she doesn't know him."

"Huh…" I say

"She was hypnotized to know Jordan and amber— Jordan's mom," Alina says

"you hypnotized her!"

"I'm sorry Rebekah, I didn't have any choice," Jordan apologizes

"wait, wait, what's going on here?" my mom asks

"it's complicated mom" I put my hands on my face

"Who hypnotized who? " she asks

" Please let's go inside and I'll explain everything to you," I say

"Okay, come on inside," she says then we all enter and head straight to the lounge area

" mom?" I say as we take a sit

"please whatever it is, let it be good," she says

"I'm afraid it's probably not" Liam says

Bexy's point of view:

I have finished packing my clothes and the servants are carrying them to the limo outside while I fix my hair and makeup. I think this white; sparkly short dress with a sexy slit will mesmerize him.

"Time to meet my prince," I say to myself in the mirror and put the red lipstick back in my original glitter purse from Irene, which is made of entirely just glitter, it has a smooth texture too like feathers. I make my way out. I meet my Mom next to the staircase.

"go well my daughter," she says in Meldish as she walks to me and gives me a hug.

"Thank you Mom," I respond in Meldish and she looks at me

"Go get your prince this time," she encourages.

I nod, "I will," I assure her in Meldish, "I'll see you soon."

She lets go of me, "see you soon future queen," she smiles.

I turn and walk away our golden frame glass door with diamond-shaped grills.

Harmony's point of view:

My Mom looks at me puzzled, "I don't understand," she says, "You are not human?"

"Not really," I respond.

"All of you?" she looks at Jordan, Alina and Liam seated on the couch on my left, then at Cari and me next to her.

"Yes," Sera confirms.

"Are you kids playing with me? I don't believe in superpowers and all those sci-fi stuff."

"No, I'm serious," I say and she looks at me.

"Gou are a princess?" she asks

"I guess…" I say with uncertainty

"you kids have watched too many fantasy movies" she smiles, trying to bring out the joke. But there's no joke. No prank. At least I wish there was. Go back to school, leave a normal life, get a job, start my career, help my Mom, get married, raise my kids. Now I'm here, from a nobody to a princess who's supposed to somehow save her parents and her home. Lives counting on me, I don't even believe in myself. I guess I love staying in the shadow. The only time I expressed myself, was when I sang on the side of the road with Liam.

"I'm sorry."

Her smile disappears.

"This is not happening " she shakes her head at all of us, she scoffs, "I don't believe this."

"But it's true mom, I saw my power come to life with my own eyes," I insist.

"Power of music," she asks in disbelief

"Yes," I respond.

"Mrs. Stevenson, Rebekah's parents need her," Max says.

"This is... This just doesn't make sense" my mom says.

"Okay , if you need proof then here." Max's hands light up on fire

She jumps in shock, "oh my goodness." She holds on to the arm of the chair.

"Believe us now?" Max asks. She annoyedly exhales looking away from Max for a while. "Fine," she concludes, "Just put out that thing."

"Yes ma'am." He puts out the fire.

I also have slot of question of how in the world he did that without his clothes burning.

"So, you are going with them? " she asks me with emotions in her eyes, begging me to stay.

"Well…" I start

She takes a pick at Max, then looks back at me. "They know where my parents are and they are in danger— I must go," I reason.

"Do you trust them?" she inquires.

"I…I don't know, but I feel like I should,"

She hugs me, "it's okay Re…I-I mean Harmony," she ends the hug and gets up from the couch.

"Rebekah might not be my own, but to me she is, and I care about her like my own blood, I love her, please take care of her, Seth, Jordan, Micah, and Sera." She looks at them one by one. I get up from the chair.

"We will, Mrs. Stevenson" Liam assures her with a smile and my mom turns to hug me again.

"Be safe my baby," she cautions.

"I will mom." I let go of her.

"We should get going," Alina says

"First," Cari objects and we look at her. " I have to send I message to Elphia, they must send someone to clear up Mrs. Anderson's place."

"It's okay, I still have to shrink the car," Liam says

"shrink!?" I look at him like: "what in the world are you talking about?"

"Yes," he confirms, " we can't travel with it like how it is now."

"How are you going to shrink a car?" I ask

He shoves his hand in his pants' pocket and waves a small, oval-shaped glass bottle in front of him with blue liquid, "Shrink potion."

"You are serious?" I clarify.

"Yep. come on outside you will see," he suggests.

"let's go then," I excitedly go ahead, Liam and everyone else laughs except for my mom. They all follow behind me as we make our way outside.

"Okay wait." Liam moves in front of me as we get to the car.

"We have to make sure nobody sees this" Alina says

"I'll lookout," Cari says

"Re- Harmony my dear, are you sure you want to be so close there?" my mom concerns from the door.

"It's okay, I'm a Meldian," I say, Liam looks at me and smiles, I smile back.

"Man does he have the most amazing smile I've ever seen."

We are back inside.

"This is it Harmony, time to go home," Sera says and I look at my mom.

"Go," she permits with tears running down her face.

"Can I hug you one last time," I ask in a brittle voice.

She forces a smile on her face, "come here."

I run into her arms

"Thank you for everything mom,"

"It's okay harmony," she says

"Call me, Rebekah."

"Rebekah," she lets me go and places her hand on my cheek.

"Always follow your heart," she says and I nod.

"Go now," she says

"Thank you," I say as I turn around to join the others. We join our hands, I have no idea what to expect. Will it hurt? What should I do? What should I think? Should I close my eyes?

I hold Liam and Sera's hand

Mrs. Stevenson's point of view:

I can't believe I am watching my baby leave to some world that I don't know of.

"Please be safe Rebekah."

Immediately after she joins hands with them, a light covers them. And I can no longer see my little girl. I look away shielding my eyes from the bright light, and in a matter of seconds, SHE'S GONE. She's actually gone.
