Is Not Revenge

The first morning after they moved back to Alaska, Catalina woke up with a slightly dizzy head. Yesterday’s events and the scene she saw made Catalina repeatedly wake up with nightmares. A glass of hot chocolate and a slice of bread accompanied Queenie sitting in front of the fireplace. That morning, the Alaskan mood was colder than usual. Heavy snow covered almost the entire territory and forests.

“Honey, why are you suddenly back? And Billy’s coming with you too.”

“It was Billy who asked us to return, Martha.”

“Why, Honey? Is there a problem?”

“No, everything is fine.”

“Thank god, I’m glad to hear that. I see your relationship with Billy getting better. After getting off the helicopter, I saw you guys laughing hand in hand yesterday. I’m so happy for you, honey.”

“Ah, Martha. How difficult it is to explain what I am going through. You should have seen Billy teach Derk a lesson in an exquisite way.”

“Derk? You mean you told Billy everything, including Derk?”
