Today's going to be different, I can feel it. It’s like something is literally bouncing off my spine. One reason I know today is different is because I didn't wake up to my alarm going off but to someone freaking jumping on my bed. The second reason is because I have a house full of people that have magical powers or supernatural abilities and the last reason is because it's a Wednesday.
"Wake up, Nate!" The dreaded two words in the morning were spoken to me but I refuse to listen to it for one reason. "My alarm didn't go off, so no," I grumbled, groaning when they stepped on my thigh. "Get up," the voice said and I think it belongs to Lilah. "Get out of my room," I mumbled with my eyes still closed. "No!" she yelled into my very sensitive ears.
I am this close to throwing her like a rag doll if she doesn't get out. "Get out or be thrown out." I got up for one second just to push her off my bed before collapsing face first. She jumped up again, "Don't be grumpy," she has the audacity to tell me, making me groan loudly, covering my ears with my pillow.
She huffed before screaming "I NEED BACK UP!". What the actual hell is wrong with this girl, do I I need to take her to a Vet or something? Just then, someone's footsteps came speeding up the stairs, slamming my door open. "Don't slam my damn door!" I yelled with pure morning irritation.
I heard footsteps get louder us they stomped towards me. What did I do to deserve this? Was it the stuff I read because I'm not sorry about that.
"Nate, get up," the voice I recognise to be Bella's whined and then started jumping on my like a small child on Christmas morning. "Imma kill you both. Slowly and painfully," I threatened, peaking at them from under my pillow.
"Supernatural healing so slowly is not going to work on us" Delilah felt the need to give me sass on a Wednesday morning. She has blurred the lines of bravery and stupidity.
"Good luck healing when I'm drowning you," I responded, pulling my sheets over my head. "Ugh! Why are you so stubborn?" Bella asked with a drawn out groan. "Because it's morning and I loathe Wednesdays," I sighed when they stopped bouncing to catch their breath. "Fine I give up!" Bella huffed, pouting I'm sure. I give a satisfied smile before snuggling into my bed.
The moment they stepped foot off my bed my alarm went off. "UGHH! SHUT UP!" I groaned loudly and just then, the wind blew my windows open as if laughing at me and my misfortune.
Even the wind is against me today.
I turned off the dreadful alarm and the girls giggle as I grumble nonsense to myself, rolling out of my cloudy, soft bed. When I stood up they stopped laughing and looked at the ceiling in sync. "Why are you naked?" Bella asked with a blush staining her cheeks slithering to her ears painting her fair skin pink.
I looked down and then back at her. "I'm not naked, I'm in boxers and I get very overheated in my sleep, so it's either this or I might sweat a new ocean, or cause a fire, one or the other," I shrugged before stretching and cracking my neck and back, causing Bella to flinch at the sound of it.
"Both of you out," I pointed my thumb to the door. "Nah, I feel like waiting here and annoy you," Lilah walked and sat on my bed. I hope she doesn't have fleas does she, because then I might need to change my sheets or get a new bed.
Oh, I should say that out loud sometimes.
I growled deeply in my throat, irritated with them waking me up ten minutes too early and then not leaving when I want them to.
I saw the air rippled like water in her direction before she fell to her knees with her neck tilted and her eyes down, whimpering and shaking. I think this is a perfect "What the actual fuck?" moment.
My eyes widened and my jaw hung a little. "What the hell did I just do?" I stepped back a little as off that would solve all my problems."You... growled?" It was more like a question that anything. Thank you that was not obvious at all, Sherlock.
"Lilah, what are you doing?" I asked, is that some sort of signal or something? "I don’t know, my body just moved on it’s own, it just felt like instinct to prove I’m not challenging your authority," she whispered with her head down as if I would hurt her.
The thought physically shook me to my core as I shuddered at the horrible image. "Don't do that, I have no authority over you and I wouldn’t hurt you, now please get up," I said in a matter of a fact tone "Yes, you do," she replied, shaking as she brought herself from her knees, struggling to do so.
She's moving like a newborn deer.
I don't have time for this. "You know what? It's too early for this shit. Out," I rubbed my temples hoping it would soothe my upcoming headache. “But we have something to…” Shaking my head, I demanded, “Out, now.”
They walk out, too silently for my liking as if their footsteps would trigger me. "Nice going dickhead, you could have handled that in better way," my subconscious scolds.
"I know, alright! Shut up!"
"I am you, crazy ass! Why don't you shut up!" My subconscious responds.
I have officially lost my mind.
Sighing, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth then take a shower. I got out and wrapped a towel around my waist. I dried my hair with another towel while looking for my clothes.
Black ripped jeans with a belt with a crown as a the buckle. A black t shirt with a middle finger outline in the middle of it with the words, ‘Fuck you’ written underneath. Sprayed some deodorant and cologne before I put in skull, stud earrings first, then chain like ones below it. I put a plain chain around my neck and a silver watch. Nike air shoes and a normal black jacket with cotton on the inside. I grab my phone, wallet and keys. I brushed my hair until the curls evened out perfectly and then run my fingers through it.
Once I got downstairs everyone was eating and not only that, none of them were dressed at all. "Why are you still in pjs?" I asked keeping my voice nonchalant. "We're staying at home today," Justin said, putting a spoon full of raspberry yogurt in his mouth. My jaw dropped for the second time in one hour. "And why is that?" I crossed my arm, narrow my eyes at them. "Your mom said we could stay home since yesterday was pretty tough and a lot to take i-" " And she made pancakes!" Bella got interrupted by Lilah's squealing.
"Why didn't you say that before, I could have slept in? Better yet, why the hell would you wake me up!" I dragged my hands down my face with and annoyed sigh. "We tried to but you kicked us out before we could, not to mention the tiny incident you had." Lilah rolled her eyes and mumbled the last words, making me frown, slightly ashamed of making my best friend kneel to me.
"Don't roll your eyes at me, if you had gotten to the point instead of acting like a puppy, the little 'incident' wouldn't have happened," I answered back making her glare at me, drinking something from a white mug. That look has many people pissing themselves but not me.
“I’m sorry, what incident?” Alex asks, with a curious expression, turning his head to me. Not wanting to address the problem, I brushed it under the rug. “Nothing important, don’t worry about it.” He looks like he wanted to say something but doesn’t, nodding silently.
I sighed in agony from my now full blown headache, walking to the kitchen. "This is bullshit. I could have slept in. I hate Wednesdays," I grumble, making coffee. Even though I'm in the kitchen, I heard faint laughter aimed at me. I took my milk coffee back to the the living room, plopping down on the couch, spilled a drop of coffee on my hands making me wince at the heated droplet. The smell of it already calmed me down as I take my first sip.
"Since we're staying home, what are we gonna do?" Alex licked whipped cream from his lips after finishing his pancakes. "I didn't think about that," Lilah said, scrunching her eyebrows together with her cheeks looking like a stuffed chipmunk. I scoffed at her, watching the lump of food slowly go down her throat, meaning she might choke if she keeps that up.
"Of course you didn't, you don't think about things that doesn't involve your stomach or things going in it." She glared at me again but who would take her seriously if she looks like she had two tennis balls in her mouth.
"This still doesn't answer the question," Antares said eating a fruit salad from an anime bowl. Where did she even get that? "Is that Tokyo Goul?" I nodded towards her bowl. She looked down and nodded with a half smile on her face. "I have a pool. We can go there and relax or go to the movies," I thought out loud.
Alex gasps with a bright smile. "I've never been to the movies can we go there?" he asked with so much hope and excitement, I couldn't possibly say no to him, especially since I can see the sparkle in his eyes. "Of course," I had to cover my ears from his screech of excitement. "After we go to the movies then we come back- scratch that let's get food after," Lilah said taping her chin.
Bella whispered, "Black hole." "Heard that, coffin dweller," Lilah snarled. "Truth hurts, doggie," Bella hissed back. Antares and Lilah growled, guess that struck a nerve. "Shut up!" the twins yelled at them making Alex choke on his orange juice from laughing, the juice almost going up not down.
I chuckled at him, "You ok?" He nodded tapping his chest violently.
"Hurry up so you can go get changed. I want to leave before something Juju-ish happens and ruins our plans for today." I swallowed the last of my coffee. "Juju-ish?" Antares snorted. "Magic related, duh." Bella tapped her head.
When they left to get ready I cleaned up and put their plates in the dishwasher. The first person to get back after 30 minutes was Bella, since she's a vampire and all.
Bella's wearing red jeans that are only ripped at the thighs with high heel, black shoes with 4 inch heels that are red at the bottom. Her top is a red, thin spaghetti strap that has a low cleavage cut with small line patterns going across with a cropped leather jacket that stops at her ribs. She styled her in a small bun at the front of her head with two loose strands on her face, the rest of her brown hair falling down her back.
Matching, matt red lipstick, bumble bee eyeliner with mascara, blush and subtle eye-shadow. Around her neck is a gold heart shaped necklace that has a red ruby in the middle with a matching pair of earrings and bracelet.
She looks like a model.
Lilah came running down the stairs after her. She braided her hair in two, her electric blue highlights standing out in her black hair, stray strands of hair falling around her face. Cropped sky blue hoodie with two navy blue paw prints smack in the middle of her chest. For once, she took out her blue contacts, showing her adorable hazel eyes. Blue, acid washed shorts, white Nike socks, blue shoes with black laces.
Hoop earrings with a flat silver flower earring above it. A thin line of eyeliner that makes her eyes look narrow, kinda like an anime character, thick mascara. Baby pink lip gloss and blush. Around her neck is a sliver necklace with a blue paw print in the middle, blue gems decorating each pad of the paw.
For someone with a bad temper she looks so innocent and sweet.
Antares walks down the stairs with her iPad in her hands. Her hair in a high ponytail with a some of her sunset like hair swooped to the left side of her face, tucked behind her ear, black glasses sitting on her head. Dark green mascara and black eyeliner shaping her eye to that of a hawk. Her lips covered in light red lipstick. She is wearing a black jacket that covers a dark green crop top which has a very black detailed snake slithering upwards. Snake earrings that wrap around the shell of her ear and a black choker with and emerald in the middle. Black mini jeans skirt that has rips on it and around the edges with crescent moon charms hanging from the small hoops of her skirt. Punk gothic knee high combat boots.
Damn. Just damn. What else can I even say, her taste in clothes is very… her?
Alexander follows behind her paying attention to whatever is on her iPad screen. He has in a plain black tank top which shows the mark on his neck that is clearly here to stay. Eyeliner under his eyes. His black jeans are ripped but still has material on the inside that covers his skin. His belt has charms that are similar to the one Antares has but his has stars as well. Rolex watch on his wrist and silver and black rings on his fingers, silver chain around his neck. Black glass with purple lens. Black trainers with purple laces.
He look like someone who could hurt you but is the exactly opposite, cinnamon roll mixed with a snowflake.
Finally the twins. Austin is wearing a white hoodie that has a pair of black wing on it. His shorts are plain white Nike shorts. White socks with white shoes. His Apple Watch around his left wrist, to my surprise he has a septum piercing. The ring is spiky around the edges. Justin is also wearing a hoodie but it's black with a dripping white halo instead of wings. Black Nike shorts, black sock and black shoes. His Apple watch on his right wrist. As he speaks to his brother it exposes his snake eye tongue piercing.
That's so hot. I need to get those piercings but maybe not the snake eye due to medical risks but then again I’m not human so it could work.
They look like each other but are really different.
"You guys make the clothes look good. Did you ever think about being models? You should get paid for looking that good," I said staring at them. Alex blushed looking down. "You should take your own advice. You are… heavenly." Bella flips her hair over her shoulder before saying, "The world isn't ready for our beauty. They wouldn't be able to function."
Lilah nodded in agreement, Antares rolls her eyes but doesn't stop the smile creeping on her face, Alex flips imaginary hair over his shoulders, mocking her and the twins ignored her completely, invested in their own conversation.
Bella ruffled Alex's hair to which her responds "Hey! Don't touch my fluff mosquito, you don't understand how long it takes to make it perfect." He frantically fixes his hair back in place.
"Aren't you going to get cold without a jacket," I directed my question to Alex. He answered, "No, I have a jacket on." He smiles at my confused expression. He literally doesn't have one on. "B-but , you-you do- never mind," I give up on trying to make sense of this. "I mean, I put on invisibility spell on my jacket," he giggles. "Whyy?" I tilted my head in confusion. He pouted, "I don't know, it seemed fun at the time." He tapped his chin before sighing and mumbled a few words, his jacket slowly making itself visible. The dark purple is the same shade of the highlights in his hair, it almost matches his eyes.
"Ok let's go," I walked towards the door, waiting for everyone to get out before closing it.
The twins got into their car and so did Antares into her own car. The others came with me to my car, Alex next to Bella in the back and Lilah next to me. "So what are we gonna watch?" Lilah asked humming to the song 'Diamond' by Rihanna. "Anything but horrors or thrillers," I said knowing that they get scared easily. Alex glanced at me with a small smile before going back to his conversation.
"Let's watch... the new live action Lion King!" Lilah suggested. "We have to ask the others too. We're not going to watch a film that they don't enjoy," I state. She pouted and crossed her arms and says "Fine but I want lots of food later." "You would have wanted lots of food anyways, Black hole." She rolled her eyes at me and mumbled, "Rude."
We drove for about 15 minutes before we got there. When we got out of the car we waited for the twins and Antares to catch up to us. "Ok so do you guys want to watch the live action Lion King or something else?" I asked, leaning against my car. "We don't mind," the twins said in unison. Forgot how creepy that is. "I don't care." Antares shrugged, not bothered by what we choose.
When we got in, I paid for 7 tickets. Lilah demanded she gets drinks and nachos. I'm starting to think I have created a food monster. "Do you guys want anything?" I asked waving my card. "Popcorn for us," Justin responds for himself and his brother. "Can I have chocolate, please, lots of it?" Alex looked like he was about to start drooling at the thought of chocolate. "Me too." Antares shared the same look as him, eyeing the several bars of their craved snack. I nodded.
So, it's a witch thing, how interesting.
"How about you?" I asked Bella. She shakes her head "Unless you're offering a vein, no thank you." I made an ‘O’ shape with my mouth before nodding.
And then Lilah said something I never thought a werewolf would say to a vampire.
"I can give you some blood, before you get any paler and actually start looking like an actual m dead person," Lilah offered in a hushed tone, glancing at her from the side. "I don't know, especially with your diet of eating anything." Bella narrows her eyes at Lilah. "Don't worry about my diet. Offer does expire so choose now." Lilah started making ticking sounds.
"Are you sure?" Hesitation clear in Bella's voice. "I wouldn't offer if I wasn't now would I?" Lilah asked rhetorically, staring her down with irritation.
How sweet of her?
