"The first one to plead his cause seems right, until his neighbour comes and examine him".

-Proverbs 18 : 7

DELTA HOTELS.

"Listen to me, First Disciple is a killer. She's some lunatic who commits murder in the name of God. Pete is ", Janice sighs, "Was a cop".

Ruby wipes her eyes with a kerchief, "He never said he was a cop".

"You didn't suspect him? The all nighters he pulled. The blood wounds he comes back with. You never saw him on the news?", Janice scoffed.

"He told me he's a psychiatric. And we didn't live together. I swear I don't know anything. We met online six months ago before I decided to come see him", Ruby tightens the kerchief in her hand.

"From where did you travel?", Janice asked.

"Mexico", Ruby answered.

"That's a long way to go for love. Respect", Janice felt sad for her. Ain't crazy what love can do.

Ruby wipes her eyes, "My abuelita said I was crazy too but I wanted him to be the one you know".

"Yeah", Janice pats her hand, "Its okay".
