“Well, we’re here again,” I sighed, gazing upon Chandonis’s foggy streets from atop a skyscraper. “Never thought I’d think this, but this place is starting to grow on me.”
“Right? It’s like it’s more… cozy, rather than cramped,” Blake nodded.
“Good donuts,” Angelina mumbled.
“So what now? We just wander around until we find something?” I tossed a pebble off the building’s side. “Seriously, what’s here that’s worth looking for over our actual allies?”
“Monty. I sensed one,” Angelina said.
“Who?”
“A title. A magic man with good advice. We should find him.”
“Huh? Why does the advisor have to be magic?” I scratched my head. “Did I miss something?”
“Well, apparently the armored exec we fought was a mage. Angie wouldn’t have sensed it otherwise,” Blake explained. “She beat us up while holding back! I bet even you couldn’t take her on if she decided to pull all the stops.”
“Hmm… maybe,” I muttered. “Still not convinced, for the record. So where is this monty?”
