Lost Child (1)

"So, that's where you were."

A voice comes from behind. Ethan turns around and looks at the source of voice. A brown haired man in late teen was standing behind with kind and soft smile on his face.

"Let's go, your mother is worried about you. She has been looking for you all over the area."

He took a step forward but instead of going forward, our lost child hide behind Ethan while clenching his pants.

'Something feels weird.'

Ethan feels that situation might not be so simple. So, He put on smile as to show he believes him. After all, He is a self-proclaimed great actor.

"I promise him a meal. You can take him after that, I wouldn't be bothering you, Right?"

Young man keeps his smile but his eyes don't match with it.

"It's fine; It's us who is bothering you, right?"

He was looking at the lost child but our lost child just chose to hide further behind Ethan.

This confirms that things may not be as simple as it seems. But question is should I interfere or not?

If things go wrong, regardless who is right or wrong, I will be the one who will be used as an escape goat!

I internally sigh, let's care about it later.

"Give me the spiciest burger you have. Also add few large size drinks with it."

I order meal for him. This time instead of letting our lost child decide I choose it for him.

Our Lost Child still is slumping down on the table but jump up like rabbit when his eyes fell on burger.

He unwrap it and took a bit. The young man who is posing himself as his guardian was sitting in front of him. I took the seat besides the child.

"Hmmm?"

Lost Child suddenly stands up and sticks his tongue out and start rubbing it. Of Course, I deliberately did it, this child is burning my money like leaves so why mercy?

"It's brning, brning!"

I hand him over all the drink and he drank it like water but it was still not enough so I withdraw a water bottle from my storage and hand it over to him.

"Huuuu."

He release a breath as he slump down on chair. Suddenly, He again perked up like a stick.

"Restroom."

I just give him a nod and look at guardian, He has a disturbed expression but quickly fix it when he notice my gaze. He just gives me a nod with a smile. His smile looks like he is rewarding me with heavy responsibility.

I took the child and take him to restroom.

After 5 min;

It's been 5 minutes and young man was getting impatient.

"Report."

Young man sits straight at the voice in his earpiece.

"A pest is with the target, He have doubts but it's seems he is planning to ignore us."

"Where is the target?"

"Sir, He is in restroom."

There was a silence for some moment. Young man was really tensed up, for him; this moment feels like an eternity.

"How long?"

"More than 5 minutes."

"You idiot! Do you think that child gladder is a tank or something? Go check now!"

Young man panic and ran toward with full speed. The sight which meets his eyes froze all the blood in his body! A small window above was open to outside inside restroom!

In a Half-Construct abandoned building,

A black haired teenager with child of ten-year-old is holding him like a koala. Ethan put his earpiece and calls his one and only friend.

"Lucas, it's me, Ethan."

"What happened?"

"I think I have been involved in some crazy things."

An excited voice comes back. "Ohhhhoo, Tell me the details."

Ethan raised his brows at him. "Why do you sound excited?"

"You are imagining things, Tell me the detail."

"So, long story-short, you pick up a lost child and he happened to have people after him."

Ethan made a sound in affirmation. "Hmm."

"Way to go, Ethan. You are really expert in finding trouble."

I can hear some sound from other side. It's seems he is on move.

"Go and report to any professor. Any Professor is fine besides that Infirmary one."

"On it."

"Ethan this may be your moment, you know?"

'Again his bullshit.' Even though Ethan thinks that he still plays along.

"What? I have no intention in becoming hero or something. I love myself more than you think."

"That's not it, what if that child have beautiful, curvy and alluring big sister or even a single milfy mother?!"

Ethan kiss his teeth as he try to say something, Ethan want to deny him but he can't bring himself to do that. As a young man with hot blood, these kinds of things are hard to ignore!

Lucas further added. "Go on, ask him if he have a sister or not? If he has, then ask him if she is beautiful or not."

"My Big sister is most beautiful woman!"

Lost Child finally raises his head and said with twinkling eyes. It seems lost child caught some of their conversation.

Lucas excited voice fell in his ear. "Jackpot! Ethan! You hit the jackpot!"

A bitter smile form on his lips, how innocent!

"Your sister must love you quiet a lot."

Child expression brighten, his ocean blue eyes were twinkling. It seems he finally is opening up to him.

"Big-sis Lily and Big-sis Chloe loves me the most."

Hearing him, His smiles froze.
