Instant Kill

Ethan had noticed that there are seven of them and there are using some secret method to get his location. The chime sound was actually a signal that indicates that they are throwing bombs.

Ethan had retreated slightly and climbed to hut to look for their spots. It's been half an hour since he circles around them and looking for their location but these jokers had more than one place to hide. They hide in the way to covers each other back while also covering a large area. Their detection ability seems to be something similar to hearing.

Ethan had noticed all location of these monsters. He still has a trump card in experimental use but it might be his chance to test it.

Ethan moves forward and circles around the huts where elite monsters reside. He looked at any cover he can find while kept moving forward. His eyes fells on a hut's roof beside the hut he was hiding in. There is a hidden hatch on it where a monster hides.

Ethan is sure that one will come out of hatch and attack him with rock bombs the moment he left his cover. There is another one right opposite to it, it is hiding inside the hut and waiting for him to come out but there is one thing. If he gets inside too much then he will need to confront the boss monsters that he wants to avoid till he kills elite monsters.

He took a step forward and comes out while facing the closest one. He kept his eyes on hatch and comes out with a firing stance. The monster took its ugly head out with a rock bomb held in its hand in throwing motion. He was around 14m away from him. Ethan closed his eyes and glared at its hand with rock bomb with insane concentration.

Recall.

His pupil widens and its hand moves slowly to throw the rock bomb. Ethan kept his eyes on it and fire a bullet as it was out of his hand. Bomb left his hand but bullet hit right at the moment.

Bomb explodes and monster was blown out of it. He didn't need to confirm if he is dead. He is completely sure. He had seen the explosion and these bombs can rival F-Rank bombs halfway but their usefulness is limited.

His Danger Sense rang furiously. Ethan turns around furiously and notices another one but his vision returned to normal and he saw the rock bomb thrown at him with parabolic motion. He hurried went back to previous hide.

Boom…

Bomb explodes and hut behind the one Ethan was hiding shakes. He smacks his lips in frustration. He had stops using his quick draw no… he had changed its name to Recall now. It fells familiar so Ethan choose its name without much thought. He can only use recall for 3 sec. but with a condition of being focused on only one thing. If his concentration is disturbed then his vision returns to normal.

Ethan did feel satisfied. He was still in skepticism if he will be able to use it during battle or not but it seems he can. Now, all he needs to do now is to make sure to take them out one at time.

Ethan circles around besides the hut he was hiding. He went to the one who attack him from behind but he had already changed his place. Ethan knows where he was hiding and turns around while pointing his gun on that place.

Recall.

He just came out and was on verge on throwing the mana bomb. Ethan shot at the rock bombs and it explode right at his face. Ethan hurried took the cover and bent down slightly.

There was another one showing its ugly head from the opening between the huts wall. Ethan use the wall wood as a support and fire at his head, He was 20m away but thanks to support he was able to hit him straight.

Three down and four remaining… Ethan keeps going around and keeps making them come out by becoming bait. He still has ten minutes left and a boss monster, hiding inside the center hut.

Ethan went inside it and it was actually as big as training room in academy with a make shift chair-cum-throne of planks. Ethan looked at boss monster with excitement. He is almost one step away from breaking his record…

Boss Monster was a slightly bulky with darker skin and had armor on his head, chest and shoulder. Its mask was attached to his helmet. There was a club besides him made up of red stone. Ethan had a bad feeling about it.

Ethan prepared his gun and sword and took the stance for fight. He took a deep breath and charge forward. He was halfway to boss monster when his danger sense rang out, making halt on his step.

A red stone fell in front of him but Ethan back off already. It exploded but explosion didn't spread but concentrated on the spot. Ethan looked at their engineering and can't help but impressed. He turned to his side and found a Hinglurs hanging on the roofs of hut by the wood support. He looked around and found seven of them hanging on the roof.

He kissed his lips after he understands what happened. He had been in this situation before there were times he had to confront boss monsters and Elite monster together like this and he had no other choice as it is the dungeon setting.

Boss Monster seems to be snickering at him. It charged toward him with club and slammed its club. Ethan smoothly dodge it by jumping to his side but that was a mistake…

Boom.

The moment club hit the ground it explodes. Ethan was blown backward miserably. He rolled on the ground by head but hurriedly fixed his balance and looked at boss monster. Ethan sees a shadow of ball over the ground moving toward him. He dodged it hurriedly. These bombs have low range but they pack some real power in it. He needs to avoid them at all cost.

Boss Monster charged at him and Ethan withdraw the gun and shoot at its thigh. His balance waver but he used other feet to charge toward him. Ethan dash toward and throw away the sword. Boss Monster raised his hand but Ethan boost his speed on next step with mana and charge forward.

Boss Monster was shocked. It doesn't understand why this weird bipedal creature suddenly threw away its weapon. It also doesn't understand how this creature suddenly gained such a speed. It doesn't understand but he knows it is in trouble so it hurriedly tried to swing his club down.

Ethan was already there and he grabs his elbow with one hand as he tried to stop his swing. He had used his speed and whole body for this task but his body was still lowered half-way by the sheer force of his swing. Ethan hurriedly used his other hand with gun and fire two bullets at his triceps. His arms loosen and Ethan pushed his elbow back.

Boss Monsters took a step back and his flew backward. Ethan hurriedly circles around and grabs his wrist, with club, from behind and twisted it and stuck it to his back. He used his gun to fire all the rounds at his palm, wrist, arm and shoulder.

Boss Monster was planning to attack but his twisted arm left in uncomfortable position. His gripped around club losses with every shot and it was on verge of falling. Ethan threw the gun and grabs the club with both hand and slammed it into his helmeted head from the back.

Boom.

A large explosion rang out that even causes suffering to Ethan and blow him back along with smoke. Explosion had hit the boss monster right in the head. Ethan fixes himself and stands up. He stared at the place he was standing before, filled with clouds and all things happened. He doesn't know why but he was doing whatever was coming into his mind and suddenly when he noticed he had already deal the final blow to boss monster…

Ethan scratched his neck and looked at the spot, trying to see what happen to boss monster. Sure enough, it is lying dead. Ethan had put everything in that swing and this club seems to explode with more power in that situation. He was licking his lips with excitement.

Did he just kill the monster in the span of a minute? What is going on? Today, one after another, he just keeps breaking his own record… He looked above and notice the elite monster hanging on the roof with mouth wide opened. It seems they still haven't come out of the shock that he killed their boss.

Ethan took that chance and ran toward the corpse of boss monster while picking up his sword and gun. He put his hand on it and put it into his storage. Ethan ran away while dodging explosion. He looked back and noticed the club. He felt regret but he won't risk his life for it…

He left the dungeon and looked at the time. It took him 43 minutes to clear this dungeon. His new record! He finally broke it! Last Clutch gets the most contribution but… he did it.

Ethan finishes all the formality and left for his academy. He reached academy and hit his dorm room. He lied on his bed to rest but his excitement knows no rest. He can't calm his beating heart. He did it! He did it!

Ethan looked back on the fight. In last two month, He spends at the least half of his monthly 1000SP into dungeon. It was really hard for him to fight so he need to really use anything useful he can find in academy shop and use it to clear the dungeon but…

Today, He didn't even spend a single point over a dungeon… He did buy a sword but it was more about his use than for dungeon. He really didn't waste a single point over dungeon. Bullets are something Ethan doesn't want to count. Raven had been chased after this weapon dealing for a long time and mostly likely stumble into a large amount of supply of it. That might be the reason why she never mentioned anything about the money from him.

That aside, Ethan did made a mistake as he didn't take care of all elite monsters beforehand but he still did it. He does regret not being able to pick up the club. He was sure that it would sell for more than a SP. Ethan was interested in its work. It was actually able explode at the contact.

Club was covered in layers of red stone and it explodes at every use. There seems to be material that create a cushion between them and stops them from exploding altogether.

It must be something related to pressure. Even though they are monsters they seem to have some brain on their head. Dungeon had always been a mysterious to human. Human were never able to find anything about monsters or reason of dungeon.

There are lots of theories but he doesn't want to play it in mind right now. He wants to bask in light of a winner. He found himself quiet cool when he smash that club on his head. Pressure must be high on it when he slammed resulting in thunder like explosion…

Ethan suddenly sits up and withdraws a mana bomb from his storage. He looked at the mana bombs that filled his hand like a ball. What if he added the pressure over it and tried to explode it?

A terrifying idea formed in his idea. It will give birth to Ethan's infamy in next week.

Ethan was sitting on his desk while waiting for class to start.

"…Ethan."

Alex called him with diagonal desk. Ethan looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

"…Do you read the forums?"

"What now…? Some new rumors about me…?"

"…No, that's not it… there are new rules added for weekly dungeon test."

"…What is it?"

"…All G-Rank Dungeon had been closed… All students at G-Rank now need to clear F-Rank Dungeon at weekly test…"

"Hmm…Is that so?"

"You doesn't seem to be worried…"

"I would have if it was a day before yesterday…"
