Prince Aran stormed through the castle halls, his anger and frustration boiling over. His father, King Debedebe, had just announced his plans to expand Niya Kingdom's borders through war, and Prince Aran couldn't disagree more.
"How can he be so blind?" Prince Aran muttered to himself. "Doesn't he see the suffering and devastation war will bring?"
As he turned a corner, he nearly collided with Minister of Defense, Lord Blackwood.
"Prince Aran, I see you're upset," Lord Blackwood said, his voice calm and measured.
"But we must support the king's decision. It is our duty to protect and serve Niya Kingdom."
Prince Aran's anger flared. "Protect and serve? By sending our people to die in a senseless war? I will not stand idly by while my father destroys our kingdom and our people!"
Lord Blackwood's expression turned stern. "You will do as you're told, Prince Aran. You are the future king, and you must learn to put the kingdom's interests above your own feelings."
Prince Aran's fists clenched, his anger and frustration threatening to overflow.
He knew he had to find a way to stop his father's destructive plan, but for now, he was trapped in a sea of anger and helplessness.
