Move Out

Upon observing Ferdinand, the newly summoned subordinates believed their commander is eccentric. From time to time, they can see their commander having different facial expressions for the past few minutes.

Though they already know what their commander is looking at based on the influx of information earlier. They were still indeed flabbergasted at the sight of their commander being so open or very easy to read.

What surprised them even more was the fact that Waylen and Simpson were just laughing things off as if it's completely normal. They were only a few hours apart from their summoning, yet they already got this close to their commander to just be able to laugh off the commander's eccentric behavior.

No matter what, they were given a second chance and they'll fully take advantage of it to enjoy their life as from the influx of memories they got was that the commander gave them some degree of freedom. So they joined in at laughing their ass off at their commander's behavior.

Ferdinand was pulled back to reality because of the noises that he was hearing, but he's fine with it. There's going to be much worse that's going to happen in the future, as he believes so. Fortunately, in the meantime, there's going to be a bright day for them as they are now about to go home once again and the fact that they now have enough points to make the corresponding technologies to make more ammunition.

He then stood up and ordered the men to rest for a few more hours so that they could begin their journey after dawn. The subordinates then answered in affirmation and rested for quite a few hours.

One could be fascinated because one can see that a band of soldiers were resting under a tree while happily talking about stuff like women and alcohol in a world where the apocalypse had started.

Seconds passed into minutes and minutes into hours. It is now time to move out. Which Ferdinand ordered the men to finally get up and move.

Ferdinand and his subordinates made a backtrack their way onto the resource location where it was barricaded, along with an injured Simpson whom was being carried by another person. It was very hurtful for Simpson to move, but it is what needs to be done. They will leave behind no man, so he had to clench his teeth all the way.

After they made it into the resource location, Ferdinand then remembered that he has level up points so he looked at it.

Ferdinand saw he could upgrade it now, and so he did. When he upgraded his level, he found he could see better now and his thinking improved even more. He then checked again, and he still had an extra 108.70 and when he looked at the level up screen, he can level it up one more time and so he did. He was now a level 3.

Now Ferdinand got what he wanted as for the rest of the upgrades he'll do it later what's more important is a surplus of raw materials and so he bought about eight more mining equipment and distributed it to the riflemen as they don't have such equipment because it doesn't belong to that class.

[Points 150,700]

Ferdinand then ordered his subordinates to mine more raw material, which took them a few more hours to gather using the equipment they had. Now once again his spatial inventory was filled with raw materials that can make more ammunition, so that they'll have a fighting chance on this world.

He was also shock because some of these raw materials were present at the top of the ground, because back in his world some of these minerals or raw materials were so deep in the ground that they'd need advance excavation equipment, but who knows maybe that's just how this world is and there's probably a surplus more of this underground once he research the corresponding technologies for that.

After they mined the materials, they took a few minutes to rest and once again sauntered to hopefully to a correct direction from where they came from.

Ferdinand and his subordinates then started marching towards their encampment or the operating base. It is the time too that when he realized that hopefully the subordinates he left there weren't dead yet as the things that happened this past night were so overwhelming. Which also made Ferdinand be forced to use a summoning card to help them in battle.

He also realized this time how important a radio is, so that they could check their position or their status more frequently, unlike this method of having no connection. Who knows? They might have been already ambushed and dead and the subordinates from the other side wouldn't even have a single clue.

While they were walking, they were all merrily talking to each other as if they had encountered a long-lost family. That's how deep the ties they made within just a few hours of meeting each other, on war it is called baptism by fire and also comradeship. They now act like they are brothers, family. They have a job to protect each other from threats. Because they are now baptised by fire with each other.

Upon observing the blue sky that was once tainted by the blood-red moon, Ferdinand wished that he would do his best to protect his subordinates.
