At least for a moment, I thought I had woken up in a white void. After I blinked, is was replaced with blue sky, rolling green hills and meadows full of yellow flowers.
I've seen this place before...
"Indeed. While not the real thing, I felt the grasslands from Ninjago was the most comfortable environment for you based on your memories."
I turned to see someone seated at a desk and chair. He looked quite young to be honest. Smooth skin, black hair and piercing green eyes. He was leaning on one hand looking at me with this smug look on his face.
Approaching his desk, I stood there arms crossed with a smile on my face.
"You're not even going to ask anything?" he asked with an eyebrow raised.
"If you know so much about me, you'll understand why I am not surprised by all this."
He shrugged and picked up a piece of paper and handed it over to me. And looking through its contents, I immediately understood that it was a brief yet informed summary about me. It included everything from age to height to weight to my personality traits. The whole package pretty much.
What caught my attention was at the bottom of the page.
KARMIC VALUE: 0 DELTA POSITIVE
I looked up at the guy with a questioning look. I'd never seen this in a fic before. He answered.
"You probably already have an idea of what's going on but as per protocol, I'll give you a run down. I'm what you can consider your manager from this point on. I'll be observing and documenting your adventures (not that here's any point to it since noone reads them anyways), and per cliché, I allocate you three wishes."
I smirked, internally frolicking at the prospect that my deepest wish came true.
"Mind telling me what the KARMIC VALUE thing is here."
"That is determined by your way of life in the mortal world. Your personality is very unique. Frankly, a lot of my colleagues have been gossiping about you in particular. Such a rare specimen."
"I'm not exactly sure I appreciate being spoken of as a test subject."
"Well kid, it is what it is. Your contradictory traits scored you a neutral karmic value. Reason why it's slightly on the positive side is because, although you did things without sincerity, they were mostly good things."
"Well that explains things, I guess." I put down the sheet and leant on his desk. "So tell me, are there any restrictions to what I wish for or what I do from this point on."
Here he was a bit more serious. "Usually there is. In your case however, you've been freed from any moral obligations and any restrictions. Putting it simply, you can do anything you want. You could be a conqueror, tyrant, slaver or something more unsavoury, and ultimately you won't be held accountable. As for the wishes, we are already aware of your approach to the concept of a 'limitless wish'. However, we will grant you anything you desire barring more wishes because that's just simply cheating." His smile picked up a bit more sunshine. "I really am looking forward towards the chaos you'll create here on out."
I narrowed my eyes at him...
"That was a specific choice of words that last sentence." I accused. He smile simply widened. Smug bastard. Like he doesn't already know that I've thought this scenario thousands of times over. He knows exactly what I want!
But thinking back over the limitless wish thing, I wanted to try something out. I might be pushing boundaries a bit but hey, I'm a nice guy (I think). Pretty sure I'll just be let off.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Hm"
"The Divine Dragon Super Shenron from Dragonball, can he grant an omniversal wish?"
My manager frowned a little at me.
"No he cannot. The wishes he can grant are at multiversal level, only as big as the multiverse he is from."
"But the wishes you give me are?"
His frown deepened.
"They are. I'll make it clear that three wishes are the maximum I can give you."
I already established that, but a little negotiation never hurt no one.
"What if I could barter something precious to me for another wish? If I gave you my personal memories, important moments to me. Everything except my knowledge of this meeting, my knowledge of all fiction and education, and general knowledge of my old world. Say I gave everything else up, would your higher ups at least consider?"
He closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.
"Your proposal is accepted surprisingly. However, be warned that the loss of those memories may result in small changes in your personality. It will most definitely influence your decisions in the future. You still willing to go through with this?"
I nodded vehemently.
"Then please state what your four wishes are."
"I wish to be one with Chaos from the Seven Deadly Sins."
It was fitting in my perspective. Plus the power to create and destroy with merely a will on a whim is badass in my opinion. And personally, I don't think the little prat Arthur deserved what he got in the end. As far as I knew in the newest releases of that universe, he opposed unification of all the races with extreme prejudice. I get the kid was probably impacted by the loss of his kingdom. But the brat was practically undoing everything the Sins had worked for. Bloody Escanor gave his life up for the cause! So forgive me if I go to that universe later on and impale that wimp on his own flagpole.
"For my second wish, I want to have the power of Super Shenron, altered so I can grant my own wishes too."
That was ridiculously OP as some people would say. But I wanted as many absolute cards in my arsenal as possible. Plus there were some things I simply could not do without that kind of power at hand.
"For my third wish, I want the Force to be drained out of the Star Wars universe in any timeline, and merged with my being."
Here I was talking about the entire energy field itself. I thought a lot about this. I was almost certain that Chaos's powers were magically orientated. I planned to go the DC universe, and there were plenty there that could probably have countermeasures against it, even if it was a godlike being. I needed another source of power and a well of pure life force sounded pretty good.
One of Luke Skywalker's greatest feats was pushing a freaking black hole aside and out of the flight way of his ship. And that was him drawing upon an infinitesimal amount of the Force. Imagine what I could do with the entire package at my fingertips. Plus I've always wanted to wear a coarseweave cloak and use red force lightning so sue me!
"And for my fourth wish, I want to have the ability to travel throughout the omniverse bringing anything and anyone I want with me on any scale."
No need to explain myself on that. My manager stamped my paper and I took that as a sign of it being done with.
