[ Giant Monarch Rune Stone ]
[ Description: Contains the power of Giant Monarch Legia. Compatible Affinity is needed ]
Ryuu descended and picked up the Rune stone and decided to store it for the time being before heading towards the others to check up on them. He arrived at Justine who passed out yet her expression didn't have anything beside that she was drooling and dreaming about food.
He shook his head while smiling before getting hugged by Tawata holding him tightly while the other girls just giggled and before long everyone helped with the aftermath of the fight.
Thomas and Zhigang left inviting Ryuu for a spar next time that he happily accepted and turned his attention back to his girls. The government handled the rest while the hunters either rhead back home or went to the hospital or even helped the government in cleaning up.
Ryuu and his woman went to the [ Dimensional Training Room ] to rest and train if they could. For the day inside, Tawata had been determined to get stronger and had been training them nonstop.
Her stubbornness was unbelievable that Ryuu scolded her for it but understood what she was feeling that way and reassure that it's fine to take it slow since they're going to have plenty of time to reach their level.
Few days outside, Japan finally cheered having survived the disaster thanks to Ryuu and his guild member along with the combined effort of two national rank hunters.
At the current time, Ryuu was heading to a press conference in regards to the recent events of the raids.
"Thomas, Zhigang, how are the injuries,"
He asked Thomas as he walked into the waiting room guided by the employee.
"I am fit as I can be you know,"
Thomas replied with a grin.
"I'm fully healed as well,"
Zhigang said while sitting down.
"Well so you guys are really going to support me, that is basically saying you are weaker than me you know,"
He said as be sat down on the sofa in front of them.
"Well, it is the truth. You are stronger than us and you saved us many times yesterday or we would've died. Not to mention, your guild members are a bunch of monsters."
Thomas said as it was a matter of fact as he was smiling like usual.
"It is as he said there is no shame in admitting what is true but I still want to spar with you,"
Zhigang said with a brash smile and battle spirit in his eyes.
"Maybe next time then."
He smiled at how straightforward these two are. Ryuu finds it interesting to be friends with them and even consider turning them into his subordinates but he can do that later if he ever returns to their world.
Ryuu talked about some random topics then Laura who was standing behind Thomas went to open the door.
"Everyone has gathered so please."
An employee of the association came to call for us. We nodded and made their way outside.
They went towards the stage together and sat down on the three chairs with Thomas on his right and Zhigang on the left. He was sitting in the middle. The reporters clicked photos of them as they sat down.
"OK so let's start the interview then."
Hanekawa from the Association said as she looked towards the reporters. She was there to translate the questions if needed. The hall was silent and then the reporters started raising their hands.
"OK, The one with red top and blonde hair,"
Hanekawa said as she pointed at one of the reporters. The person stood up and asked.
"Hello, My question is for Mr. Andre. Sir, what do you think was the level of the giant that came out second last from the gate?"
She asked in English.
"That monster was on the same level as Kamish. Both me and Zhigang were ready to fight it but this guy just finished him off."
Thomas said as he laughed loudly. But everyone was stunned as they heard it from his mouth; it is understandable even if the Japanese government has released the news hearing it from the mouth of the strongest hunter on the planet has a different meaning.
"S-so the monster that took all seven National Rank hunters was defeated b-by…."
The female reporter looked at me as she was stuttering.
"Yes, he killed it alone. I don't think I need to say more than that."
Thomas said with a smile.
"O-ok, next one the gentlemen white a red shirt and blue hair."
Hanekawa was stunned because of the meaning behind the answer Thomas gave but she collected herself and pointed at the next person.
"M-My question is for Mr. Liu what is your opinion on the statement Mr. Andre has made."
The man asked.
"It is as he said. There isn't any need to sugar-coat our words, he is stronger than us and the results are in front of you anyway."
When Zhigang said that the hall became silent as everyone's mouth was agape.
'These two….'
Ryuu laughed as he saw them talking.
"T-then the next one yes the gentlemen in a black suit,"
Hanekawa said as she tried to sound calm but she was sweating.
'She sure is having a rough day.'
Ryuu thought.
"Y-yes, my question is for Mr. Cinco."
Then the questions about the raid continued for an hour with only half an hour left.
"Um, my question is For Mr. Andre, how strong was the boss monster that came out of the dungeon?"
A lady with cherry blonde hair asked.
"It was way stronger than any beast I fought and it is the same for Zhigang as well. But from what Ryuu said it was on the same level as the Humanoid Beasts that were seen on Jeju Island."
Thomas said and the room became silent again.
"Then the next one please, the lady in the red suit."
Hanekawa became fed up with all this and barely reacted to anything she listened to.
"Yes, my question is for Mr. Cinco, is it true that the Humanoid Beasts you fought on Jeju island were on the same level as this?"
The female reporter asked.
"Yes, They are of the same level."
When he answered everyone was stunned.
"T-then what about the damage that was caused to Tokyo? There wasn't any damage done on Jeju Island other than your Sword attack and the area which was inside the barrier that was there."
The reporter asked and both Zhigang and Thomas were also looking at me with curiosity.
"Well, my ability has always been a secret but."
Ryuu gets everyone's attention since they hardly know any information on what his true power is like.
"My ability allows me to manipulate space around me and use it to lock Jeju island in order to trap the space and avoid more collateral damages but this one is a lot more tenacious and destroys the locked space."
He wasn't lying because he needed to find a way to weaken him while also maintaining the spatial lock which meant that he had to choose between prolonging the fight by strengthening the barrier or fight and kill as fast he could.
They all sweat upon learning that a monster was capable of shattering the fabric of space with ease.
'I'm strong but I'm not omnipotent.'
Ryuu thought while he saw both Thomas and Zhigang nod as they understood why the damage done by those two was that low.
"Ok, then next,"
Hanekawa said as she pointed at a black-haired woman who was wearing a purple suit.
"My question is for Mr. Cinco, this is with regards to one of your guild members who summoned a Buddha-like wooden statue? What was the name of the attack that you used to defeat the Giant?"
The woman asked with stars in her eyes. And everyone in the room had their ears perked up.
"Oh, it is because she is able to summon plants and manipulate how she wishes. She gathered mana to form it and the thing doesn't have name"
He said with a smile.
"Thank you for answering my question."
The reporter said as she sat down with a smile. Then after 10 minutes, the interview was about to end.
"Well thank you for coming here. Then we will end the interview with some words from Mr. Andre and Mr. Zhigang."
Hanekawa said as everyone looked at both of them.
"What we want to say is simple: both me and Zhigang support Ryuu's rank promotion to National Rank."
Thomas said.
"His powers are clear for everyone to see. If you don't believe it after what he has done then you are just delusional."
Zhigang said and the room became rowdy. With reporters trying to ask questions but they already left.
