Chapter 12: Stuck in Letz
About late in the afternoon, an incident was happened. They done the unthinkable.
""We are so iffed up."" Alan and Miltinna said in unison.
Although they killed the traitors among the knights, the maid and the courageous knights was stiffened in fear. The maid and the 3 courageous knights tried not to make any moves that will risk their lives.
Regardless of what happened to them, Alan and Miltinna realized they will get stuck in Letz for their stupid actions.
Comically, Alan scratches his head in severe frustration, while Miltinna hiding herself beside the carriage, falling deeper in depression.
"We're iffed, we're iffed." They repeated those words 17 times until they were called out by the maid.
"Uhh... Thank you for saving our young master."
The two didn't noticed the maid talking to them. They still continue their comical act
"Oh no. They're hopeless."
*ting* A sound revibrates out of nowhere, then a red-colored smoke just scattered off from it's waist of the dead leader of the traitor knights. Another red-colored smoke pop-off again, one after another.
"This is really bad. They're calling a reinforcement! We must escape now before they catch us!"
One of the courageous knights prompt his colleagues, the maid and their young master, and the two who was still in their own insanity to move out from that place.
"Now we've done it. Can we just escape?"
"Good idea! We must escape now!"
The two plans to escape from a one-sided massacre. Before even they escaped, the maid shouted at them, getting their attention
"HEY YOU TWO! DON'T EVEN TRY TO GO THERE! The local knights are coming from that direction. We must take another place to run away."
"Sounds good.", "Sounds good though." The two replied but they are still insane.
Before they all left on that particular street. Alan and Miltinna pretty much cleaned up the place using various magic. The carriage, the 8 corpses and heads of the traitor knights, a huge royal carriage, and the spills of blood are all disappeared, leaving zero evidence of the incident. They are currently on the way to the local lord's mansion.
By the time they already left, A platoon of a local knights arrived, they saw nothing but an empty street with no other things than just a shade of incoming darkness. There were no witnesses from the incident either. And the source of the smoke has disappeared.
"How?!?! How they'd escaped?"
Another platoom of knights and their general commander-in-chief has arrived at the scene.
"What happened here?"
"Sir General Waltr, our knights has signalled the 'inflitration' red smoke. The carriage of the daughter of Prince Juyatt is supposed to be here, destroyed. Our plan has failed."
"Damn it! Prince Irtuz will not be happy about this. Find the spies within Letz, don't let them escape!"
The general commander-in-chief ordered the local knights to find whoever intervened from the incident. To their efforts, they only found nothing but air.
And then, the sky is dimming into the darkness. The local knights didn't found the perpetrators who intervened the assassination of Young Master Hayley of Juyatt.
The knights caused wide panic throughout the merchantry part of Letz. The soldiers becomes exhausted, searching for nothing.
"Damn it! DAMN IT!"
A grumpy man that was actually a general commander-in-chief, Waltr, frustratingly smashed his table inside of his tent in the plains inside of Letz. Even though he tried to catch the perpetrators, he has no idea what was it or who were they. All he can do is to cause a huge chaos and execute a lockdown protocol to all the visitors and locals alike within the entire town.

A maid and a Knight pointed out a mansion of a local lord of Letz
The pair* pays attention to the surroundings from the road and to the mansion itself.
{Author's note: *I decided to change it into a word for distinguishing Alan and Miltinna.}
"There's no mansion guards? But local knights instead? We should stop right now and observe the mansion first before proceeding to meet the local lord. I have a bad feeling about this." Alan notified the knight who was with them.
"Is your young master is okay?" Miltinna asked the maid who carries her young master.
"She is okay and deeply asleep. I don't think she might accept what did happened to her recently."
The young miss master is covered in a violet veil and heavily dressed. She seems feeling unwell.
Conversations went not to far enough until they decided to introduce themselves.
"Ah, I'm sorry for my bad manners. I am Rohna, a trained assassin maid."
"I'm Miltinna. Nice to meet you!"
One of the knights tried to introduce herself.
"24th Regiment of Juyatt's Woman's Army. Mine name is Keithes."
She wore a full armor for a typical knight, it's hard to describe her appearance and physique since the three of the knights are on the same height and worn the same armor. But the other two knights later introduced themselves. Same goes for Alan.
"We should find a peasant's house to stay"
"That would be an optimal choice for now. I will leave to find one." The knight nods at Alan as a form of farewell.
"Be careful not to get caught by the local knights."
"I will."
Alan and the guard give each other's suggestions for a place to stay. Of course, they needed to hide from the local knights.
Although, renting a peasant's house is easy. It was still the riskiest to do so. Having no other choice, they went to find the first house they could stumble with.
Their distance from where they are to the mansion is around one kilometers and 400 meters but they are in the part where there's a forest inside of Letz due to it's size around 150 km² of land area. Letz was owned by the original Hrathiae Kingdom from the past. But now, it's government system is fundamentally different than the traditional kingdoms.
One of the guards returned with a news that he found a house in the peasant area and brought them there. To their surprise, it wasn't just a normal peasant living in the particular house.
It was the local lord of Letz, Alamennia Rowertz. She's currently ousted from her position by Waltr's brother, Hallos.
